• Lyndsay (6/5): Trouble in Paradise - The attention from the staff was wonderful. The proprietors are so nice and helpful. The location was so cool! I love the courtyard. It's stunning. Ok, here are the drawbacks. The bed was so hard. Extremely uncomfortable. There was no top sheet on the bed and the one thin blanket was so small it barely covered us. The floor in the bedroom turned our feet black walking barefoot on it. There is a giant pile of stinking garbage on the roof of the court yard and the smell wafting down made it very difficult to enjoy the amazing breakfast they provided. Also, the bathroom stank so bad. The toilet barely flushed.

• T O’R (9/5): Fantastic place - The setting of the courtyard is amazing with beautiful historic walls. The room is spacious with comfortable beds. It’s great to be able to come to the courtyard have well presented breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a fantastic restaurant joint to the Han which is highly recommended. The location is very near to many historic sites in Şanlıurfa. The windows in the room didn’t have good coverage from the morning sun

• Jafar (9/5): Great location in an ottoman era mansion. Lack of WiFi and bathrooms are small negatives. - It’s so cool to stay in an old ottoman mansion like this. You really get a feel for the luxury of that time. The staff were really helpful, and helped guide me to the Gobeklitepe bus, and helped me call a taxi. They also gave me good advice on when to show up at the airport so I wouldn’t waste too much time (only 1 hour before departure for a domestic flight since it’s such a small airport). Also the room had really well functioning ac and heat. I could set the temperature exactly as I liked it. I arrived early in the morning and they helped me with storing my bags. The WiFi didn’t work in the room I was in which wasn’t great. Also the bathrooms are a bit odd. It’s clear the building wasn’t originally built with having bathrooms inside the rooms themselves when first constructed. So there is a green panel wall built in the room separating the bathroom area. It reduced the effect of staying in such a cool building since the wall looks somewhat industrial and out of place. But this will only be a negative if you are mainly planning on staying here because of the luxury feeling.

• Caroline (10/5): Exceptional - The building was amazing and a really special place to stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. The location in the old town was really interesting. I would definitely recommend it. Tea and coffee available on demand. I came with a taxi from Malatya and it was difficult to find the location, but one of the guys from the hotel met us on the road. I was unable to get food in the hotel when I arrived hungry and tired. However, there are places around and it turned out better that I made the effort to explore.

The staff are just fantastic and cater to everything you may require. The price is very fair and the service you get far exceeds what you’re paying. It’s a little tricky to find but not a problem.

• Jolanta (10/5): Real Gem in heart of Old Urfa - Real Gem in heart of Old Urfa due to the unique history of the building, authentic feel and the kindness and generosity of the staff. Located in the mysterious alleys of Old Urfa with walking distance to main attractions and bazars. Our room was huge and so beautiful - I could feel there history. Bed massive and so comfy. Temperature in room very good due to stone walls and AC working good and quiet if needed. Bathroom huge. In front of room patio with table and comfy chairs to enjoying tea, coffee etc. Stunning courtyard where every morning was served fresh breakfast which was real feast - so huge and delicious. Can't describe by world this unique mansion -highly recommended. Hope one day will back there again for longer.

They made two sightseeing tours for us in the region. Without them, we would not have been able to see Sogmatar and Karahantepe. I highly recommend both the hotel and the sightseeing tours. • Anne (9/5): Nice hotel in historical building in center of SanliUrfa - The hotel is close to Balikligöl and as shown on the pictures, is a historical building around a patio. Once outside the building, you have the impression to walk in a "medina" like area. The personnel is very friendly and willing to help (e.g. find vegetarian restaurant)! The rooms are large & equipment is as described. You can use the patio or multiple sitting rooms/terraces to read, drink tea etc. Tea and water are available for free the whole time. The breakfast is served at the table and is partly changing every day, it includes eggs, fruit, cheese pastries, french fries, tomato/cucumber, bread, jams etc. Parking is difficult to find (better call them to show it) and only suitable for certain cars (not too large).

The building itself is stunning, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff is probably the nicest and the most accommodating we've ever met at a hotel. If we're ever in Urfa again we'll definitely stay here.

• Mudassir (9/5): A place for history and hospitality! - This hotel was originally an 800 year old Han ( a caravanserai ) which has been converted to a hotel. We loved the ambiance of the place. It was located right in the heart of the old city and was at a walking distance of most of the attractions and the bazaar. We were given two rooms in front of each other which we could reach after going down 5-6 steps from the main courtyard. The courtyard has a beautiful fountain in the middle with tables set up for breakfast and dinner. The two nights we were there they had musical events going on in the courtyard. It was loud but enjoyable since it just added to the atmosphere of the whole place. The owner was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help with anything that we needed at all times. He recommended a nearby restaurant and also walked us there and helped in ordering the food. Money exchange is also available at the hotel.
