• Juan (10/5): Comfortable stay with the most welcoming host! - Izolda was such a welcoming host! It felt like being at my grandmother’s house :) the property and room are simple, but very comfortable and clean. The personal interactions with Izolda made it our most memorable stay during our 3 weeks in Georgia! We spent lots of time chatting and enjoying her company over delicious food and tea. Thanks so much for the amazing hospitality! :)

We had a breakfast there and it was more than we could ever eat and we didn't want to stop because it was so good :) it was a pleasure staying there.

I did the hike to Ushguli and they safeguarded my big backpack. The room is very comfortable and the house is clean. I highly recommend staying here! Nothing. Everything was perfect!

The highlight of the stay is clearly the amazing breakfast, the food is soo good and great to get us start walking! Barbara also kindly watched our cars and kept our luggage’s while we were on the trail. Thank you so much again!
• Marta (7/5): Good - At Babara we met the best hosts. They were sweet and welcoming. All was nice and clean and had a touch of home to it. They also kept are bag as we were away on the hike…so lovely. Our matreses had seen life, wasn’t the most peaceful sleep.

• Ashley (10/5): Lovely stay with great hosts! Thank you! - Wow the hosts of this homestay are really really nice. Their hospitality was great. We loved the energy of this place. The beds were comfy and everything was clean. Great location with beautiful views. Worth staying here just to get to know everyone who owns the place :) It can be noisy if you have other guests who don't match your sleep schedule, as the building is older you can hear easily. Also some barking dogs which is normal for the whole area not just this specific homestay, but earplugs should fix this. :)

• Georg (10/5): Exceptional - Barbara is a great place to stay and very good value. The host Marika is a gem, very laid back and friendly, and speaks very good English. Breakfast is delicious and generous and Maria's mum's matsoni (yoghurt) is especially delicious! The rooms are simple and very clean, you can use the washing machine for a small fee, and there are hammocks in the garden you can relax in. Recommend!

Very nice place just to chill and hang out in the hammocks, be with the dog and watch the chickens wander around. Even if it is a central place, you get a very relaxed atmosphere there! Although she does not speak English, we were able to have a great chat. She offered delicious self-made jam and bread and the experience was very homely. There is a very cute dog, cats and chicken. I was lucky and met the greatest people over there to do the hike to Ushguli together. We were allowed to leave our heavy luggage in the apartment.

I did not encounter this in any other place I stayed in Georgia, but this was not a big deal for me and I didn't mind doing it.

The whole family is very nice and kind. At one point grandma Dodo was even cleaning our shoes while we were asleep. The breakfast was the best we had on the whole trip. The rooms are simple but comfortable and they have a very nice garden to relax.

• Tobias (10/5): Small, family-run homestay - The hosts were extremely nice and kind. They greeted us with tea and homemade jam after the long ride to Mestia. We immediately made friends with Tetra (the cat) and Bobo (the dog). Everything was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good and lots of food. One of the best stays of our trip and it's a pity that we could only stay for one night.

After a long hike I got a surprise meal, relaxed in the garden with the dog, cats and chicken and was really sad I could not stay longer. It was more like a homestay than only a Guest House and I enjoyed that a lot.
• Murray (10/5): A 10/10 Experience - Zolda was by far the best host I had during my entire trip in Georgia. She was accommodating, friendly, an amazing cook and extremely generous. I would recommend everyone to stay here when visiting Mestia. We had a wonderful time meeting Zolda and Popo (her dog!). The weather was very bad during our hike from Mestia so we had to return a few days later and we were treated like family. A 10/10 experience, despite the rain! We couldn't stay longer! There was nothing not to like and no issues to speak of :)

You can buy breakfast if you ask, a lot of natural, local goods - definitely would recommend. Hope to back one day. There is a radiator in the room, so if the weather is bad you can quickly dry your clothes - that's a big pros.

But the most important thing was Isolde, a lady full of love who treated me like a son by cooking me delicious meals even though they were not planned. Her kindness and love for others overcame even the language barrier. I extended my stay by several nights because Isolde warmed my heart and I will never forget it. See you in the summer! Nothing, everything was perfect!

Everytime I walked through the door I was given more drinks and food than I could wish for. The Grandmother is one of the kindest people I have met. In other places when there is a language barrier people sometimes just ignore you but here we sat in front of the warm fire and with the help of google translate and some pointing managed to have conversations. I would highly recommend this guesthouse.

If someone invented the word Hospitality, that would be Nana, Marika and all their family!
