• KRAMER COURBARIAUX (9/5): Beautiful historical house with a great view on the port of Gorée. Ideally located with private pool - Location is stunning, the historical aspect of the house is beautiful... we loved our stay. The pool didn't have a shallow section.

Te dejan una botella de agua mineral en la habitación. La ubicación es perfecta. Muy recomendable. Si otras habitaciones hacen mucho ruido, se escucha.

On a une très belle vue depuis les chambres situées au premier étage. Nous avons bien apprécié la piscine, le petit déjeuner et l'accueil par le propriétaire Rien

Overall i recommand this property as a very good place to envoy this beautiful island. Breakfast could be little more various and propose better coffee for the price of room.

Histoire de dire.... une terrasse en bois et des fauteuils sur le toit : ce serait super et pas compliqué. Une salle de bain mieux éclairée et plus moderne.

• Luciana (9/5): Safe, comfortable and I recommend for international tourists. - Great staff, they helped us to get to the beach, they were punctual with the airport transfer (at 5:30 am). Nice restaurant and clean hotel and clean hotel rooms. It was a bit difficult to take a shower without flooding the bathroom.
• Georges (10/5): Belle expérience sur l'île de Goree - Le calme de l'établissement. Une structure atypique dans cette maison mais bien pensée et organisée. Accueil chaleureux. Rester une nuit sur l'île quand tous les touristes (quasiment) sont répartis est une expérience inoubliable. Les chambres situées en bas à l'entrée de l'établissement sont un peu plus bruyantes que celles de l'étage.

La piscina muy bien. Silencio y descanso. Debajo de la cama estaba muy sucio. Se le cayó un pendiente y desapareció en la selva jejeje

• Michele (9/5): Nice colonial hotel 5mins away from ferry - Super central, very nice colonial hotel. It has a swimming pool that we didn't use cause it was too cold/ we had no time, but looks really nice. Staff was able to accomodate our request to have breakfast at 7am as we were taking the ferry back to Dakar at 8am. Room upstairs very quiet, spacious and well furnished (great use of wood). Really enjoyed our stay. Wifi was not available (not sure if too far away from hotspot or switched off) Rooms on ground floor don't look as cozy and quiet as the rooms upstairs

• Sonia (10/5): Absolutely perfect! One of the highlights of our trip! - After a 3 week-trip in Senegal, we stayed at La Principauté for our last night there. We had an amazing experience. We had booked one of the rooms downstairs, but there were rooms available upstairs so the hotel offered us a room with a seafront view with no surcharge. We loved the vibe of this beautifully renovated hotel. We really enjoyed watching the sunrise over the sea on the hotel terrace on the top floor. It was very romantic. Breakfast was really good and filling. The hotel staff was incredibly nice and toughtful. They gave us plenty of recommendations on what to do/see on the island and where to eat and they made sure we were enjoying our stay with them. The hotel is centrally located, it was the perfect base to explore the island. We had a ferry at 5 pm the next day and they offered to keep our bags in the hotel lobby and they let us use their facilities for the whole day after checking out of our room in the morning so we were able to relax by the pool, read in the chairs in the breakfast area, and freshen up in the restrooms by the pool, before heading to the airport with a long long trip ahead of us to get back to the US. The rooms are a tad expensive for Senegal (I think this is the most expensive option on the island) but it was definitely worth it for us after a long backpacking/low budget style trip! Everything was perfect!

They let me check in early as my room was available. The internet was very very slow. I would have stayed another night, if it had been better.

Our most recent and memorable stay(s) at the Principaute reminds us of Maryse Conde’s work Segu, as attention to detail and thoughtfulness have united cultures, continents, and centuries. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the upstairs veranda and being able to take in the full view of the sunrise between the gently swaying palm trees and witness the morning commuters disembark the ferry as we dined on fresh croissants, mango juice, yogurt, fruit, and several cups of coffee. The kitchen needs a renovation.
