Guest Reviews

- Kairi (10/5): The biggest jem of our trip - At first I couldn’t even imagine what will await for us inside. The bilding was so impressive. The room was comfortable with marvellous view to the medina. There were all the necessities of life. And the decor and the people that took care of us. So lovely! And the private parking! Hard to find at first. Be aware, some people on the streets heading to the medina, try to lead you on the wrong way to gain money afterwards! This has nothing to do with the riad, but just to warn you. Stay safe!

- Kārlis (7/5): Good - One huge room in historic palace. It has the main equipment including kitchen. We did enjoy it but it might depend on ones taste. Check in was not clear, had to ask other guests. If you are coming by car, the streets are narrow and local parking "guides" will request money for their service.
- Ruiz (10/5): Exceptional - The whole experience. From the entrance all the way tot he room
- Richard (3/5): The beautiful palace needs some work, it was way too hot for comfort and there was a lack of privacy - The location was great, close to the medina. I liked that we had free car parking.
The Palace was beautiful, the decorations were ornate and opulantly decorated. The air conditioning did not work. We were told there were 2 units and only one had power, the second did not cool the room at all.
The shower is located next the the kitchen on another floor, my wife came out of the shower to find another guest in our kitchen. The door locks were not secure.
There is a pool which is about the size of a car and Youseef wanted to charge us $10 per person per day to use the tiny pool, which I feel should have been complimentary as it was so hot.
A tour guide was arranged for us, he took us from one shop to another with sellers pushing their products on us.
We had trouble finding the Riad, only to be directed to the parking lot and then had to pay the person who showed us how to get there, all in front of Youseef.
The palace is run down, it was once a beautiful building.

- Blair (10/5): We had a fairytale stay in a genuine historical Morroccan palace. - We had an exceptional stay at a historical riad/palace in the heart of the Fes Medina. We were met by the owner and shown our royal suite, the former piano room. Our room featured Italian glass in the doors, floor to ceiling drapes, scarlet stained glass, intricate, detailed tiles, a hand painted cedar ceiling and 2 chandeliers! This former music room was absolutely massive in size and family art and historic memorabilia enhanced the beauty of the grand suite. The room overlooked an immense courtyard; the opportunity to stay at the palace was truly, a once in a lifetime opportunity; we lived a fairytale existence for a few days! The staff treated us like royalty, providing us with an optional traditional Moroccan breakfast and we dined in our palatial suite for dinner. Staying at the palace will forever be a hilight of our trip to Morocco; take the opportunity to live like royalty, if only for a few days!!!!!! It was perfect for us!
