- Neil (10/5): - Great location and host instructions were spot on for finding in such a secluded location.
- Jon (9/5): -
- Wipygmy Chubs (9/5): - Lovely house
Very quiet
Useful location for getting into bristol on X4 bus Only a minor thing .. The heating came on extra hot quite early in the morning and woke me up. Presumably some people would like that. Maybe I could have changed it, not sure.
- Elizabeth (9/5): - Beautiful spot. Lovely helpful hosts.
- LAURA G.C.
- Dunning (10/5): -
- Joanna (8/5): Sunny side had everything we could have wanted, with beverage supplies and shower products also provided. It was very wa - It was clean, comfortable and excellent value for money There was nothing to not like !
- Keith (10/5): - Very clean, great location. Great facilities
- Bill (9/5): -
- Gary (9/5): Highly Recommended - Comfortable, very clean and welcoming accommodation, nice decor, furniture and comfortable bed. Sunnyside is in a lovely quiet location close to Bristol, easy to get to Bristol using the Clfton Bridge route.
Hosts are friendly and accommodating, we will stay again when visiting Bristol We arrived after dark, so would have been useful for a outside light at the entrance
- Wightman (4/5): - Was small, no kitchen think it should be pointed out you don't get the whole house Everything
- Marie (10/5): - This was my second stay and it was perfect, again. We stay here when we go to the theatre, it's about 20mins from the Hippodrome, and coming back to the peace and quiet is much appreciated. The beds are comfy and it has everything we need for an overnight stay.
- Kapilmeet (10/5): It was beautiful and we would love to come again. - Beautiful property in beautiful surroundings. Very tastefully decorated. Very clean. Good heating, easy to adjust. Loved the wisteria covered verandah. Me and my two adult children stayed there one night. Access for Clifton or motorway was easy. Peacock visiting in the morning was the highlight of the stay. I would love to stay again. A small suggestion, should add English breakfast tea bags (in addition to the green tea and earl grey etc) It did not matter to us. But to some people it can matter a lot.
- Bill (8/5): A rural retreat yet 15 minutes' drive to the centre of Bristol - Sunnyside is in an ideal location for visiting Bristol – just 15 minutes' drive to the centre – but at the same time is right out in the countryside, down a very quiet rural lane. It's also handy for the airport, which was our main reason for staying, although we did spend an afternoon going round the excellent Bristol Museum & Art Gallery. Barnaby provides lots of really useful information, such as nearby walks (which sadly we didn't have time to explore) as well as recommended restaurants and takeaways within a 5- or 10-minute drive. The bathroom lighting was very dim. There isn't a separate living or eating room, just a sofa, armchairs and dining area in the largest bedroom but to be honest this wasn't really a problem, and we were well aware of this beforehand. And there is a large verandah where you could relax in warmer weather.
- Joanne (10/5): A great little apartment in a quiet road. Perfect bolthole for what we needed for a couple of nights. - Lovely quiet location.
Spotlessly clean.
Close to the centre and very accessible. Nothing!
- Nathan (7/5): Lovely place , peacock alarm. - Cozy, nice garden, location, lovely fresh milk in the fridge. Could hear constant movement upstairs till late at night then first thing in the morning the dam peacock ( which i love ) woke me up. That thing is loud.
Consigliato Niente
- Nick (10/5): - Such a lovely little property tucked away from the noise and bustle of Bristol but with the advantage of only being 12 mins by car from the centre of Bristol. Clean and comfortable with tea, coffee and fresh filtered water and milk in the fridge. Couldn't ask for more at the price that was charged. Would definitely stay here again. The owner was extremely helpful when contacted. We even had a visitor in the morning, a Peacock called Jakey. See photo. Nothing not to like.
- Alec (10/5): Perfect stay it was that good. I put the week after for two nights. - Everything about the place is
Perfect and quiet. The beds are SUPER COMFEY.
Loved the coffee sachets.
The shower excellence extremely powerful really needed that shower after laying Bricks for nine hours solid. Nothing everything was perfect.Barney our host was a gentlemen.
- Michael (4/5): It was nice for the setting but very uncomfortable and noise above the room was bad. - The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, the worst thing was I could hear everything that was happening above the room until about 1am. Think it was a couple of youngsters in the room above. Needs acoustic insulation.
- Jennifer (9/5): Lovely quiet cottage very close to Bristol - Lovely quiet location but Bristol really close and accessible, neat and tidy throughout, nice shower, comfortable beds. Loved the glass ornaments!
Kitchenette facilities were fine for a night (kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge). We liked the cold filtered water in the fridge. Good directions made the place easy to find despite the remote location. Good visitor book explaining local area, food, things to do. Kitchenette facilities were a bit basic for anything longer than a night. I'd also suggest that a two seater sofa rather than a single chair and a massive wardrobe would be a better use of space in the main living/ bedroom area
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jurgis (9/5): Superb -
- Jurgis (9/5): Superb -
- Aivaras (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neville (10/5): We didn't stay long enough - It's a great place to stay, if you want to be out of the city and like the countryside this is perfect.
The information provided on places to eat is great, we have tried them all. Nothing
- Shalmarane (8/5): Perfect for a short trip - Warm, clean with a lovely bathroom. Living/bedroom was comfortable with some tea making and minor cooking facilities. Nowhere to wash up though. Although we ate out so didn’t affect us. Had an interesting visitor at the window in the morning - a friendly peacock! N/A
- Sophie (9/5): Superb -
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clare (8/5): Lovely quiet location with comfy clean rooms. - The location was lovely and quiet and the rooms were nice and warm when we arrived.
- Debbie (8/5): Great place to stay if early morning flight or Clifton bound - Lovely setting, very peaceful, near Clifton Bridge, would definitely stay here again. Only 20 mins to airport. We could hear the owners just the other side of the wall, which wasn’t a problem for us, but made us conscientious of making noise (hairdryer etc) when we had to leave early (4am) the next morning.
- Serena (10/5): A lovely stay - The location is wonderful, and it's very quiet
It was warm inside and I really liked the shower
A lovely little gem of a place Nothing really everything was great
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional - We only stayed for one short night but everything was perfect, communication, the facilities, location, bed etc....
It's a lovely place, very close to Clifton where we were heading and close enough to Bristol yet in a beautiful location in nature. The hosts were super quick to respond. They even turned the heating on for us as we were coming from a slightly warmer climate. The resident peacock is the really special 'feature' of Sunnyside Cottage. He came and peaked through the door window early in the morning curious to see who the guests were. Really gives the place an extra friendly, warm feeling! Thank you! Nothing to not like.
- Ivan (7/5): Good -
- Mohd (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlie (10/5): Great house everything we needed - Great property thank you for having us! Nothing
- Jane (8/5): Very good - Very nice and suited our purpose for dropping son to uni Woken up with owners television and walking about above us at 7.15
- Kirsty (9/5): Perfect for what we needed - Perfect for an overnight stop for a journey from Cornwall to London. Quiet, clean and comfortable.
- Looselegs (8/5): Sunnyside - Lovely quiet space, an easy bike ride from Bristol. It was a treat to meet Jakey the peacock. The morning sun shone into the rooms, giving it a lovely light. The shower is superb. There was a French press but no ground coffee to go in it and we ran out of tea bags.
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb - Location
Easy check in
Peaceful surroundings
Beautifully clean and fresh smelling apartment No faults
- Martyn (9/5): Comfortable and clean property close to Bristol - Comfortable beds, milk waiting in the fridge, nice shower, good welcome book, very clean, close to Bristol. Nothing. All was good.
- Carol (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (6/5): Pleasant - Good location near Clifton and easy access from the motorway. Good communication and privacy with parking. Great shower! Curtains need to be black out especially with early summer sunrise! Noisy old fridge buzzing during the night. Lack of hangars in wardrobe.
- Tina (8/5): Great for an overnight stay but you might want a little more if spending more time in the rooms. - The rooms were cosy and the shower was superb! The location was very convenient for Bristol Airport. We loved waking up and having breakfast on the verandah with the very friendly peacock! No oven just a microwave. And no separate sitting room the seating was all in the bedroom. The rooms were under the main house so we were very conscious of being noisy when we arrived later than we thought we would.
- Girlfromtheeast (9/5): Superb -
- Valy (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and cosy. We had milk, water, coffee, kettle, microwave, and beautiful rose fragrance There isn't something I didn't like

The bed was comfy, and the shower was amazing
The hosts were lovely and even let us check out a little later than we were meant to and recommended a great place for breakfast
You will need a car to get to the property but it really is a Gem
I hope to stay there again Nothing
It was lovely
- Tetiana (10/5): Exceptional - Stayed one night. Everything was perfect. Nice hosts. Warm, clean, homey. Beautiful and well-kept garden. We saw a cat, a squirrel, a pony, hares and even a peacock walking along the street. It was incredible. I recommend. There's nothing not to like
- Greg (8/5): Nice relaxing weekend. - Lovely surroundings, garden etc. Nothing really - it was difficult to find our way around Bristol - that's not the host's fault but guests need to know that Bristol is not an easy city to get around.
- Tom (10/5): Great place to stay if you want to be out of the main city. - Peaceful location with the added bonus of a parking space. Nothing!
- Nicki (8/5): Very good - Great location for M5 and our daughters house in Pill Nothing really we arrived in the dark and left early in am so didn’t get chance to see the surrounding s
- Nelson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Savchenko (10/5): Exceptional - Stayed with my husband and mother. We really liked it, close to the city, very quiet, warm, clean and cozy. Thanks
- Luke (7/5): Good -
- Tracey (10/5): Comfortable clean , very warm nice as it was freezing in Bristol, lovely location after a day in cit - Property was excellent highly recommend to anyone, our son is at Bristol University its not far from his flat in city centre we will definitely use again when visiting him Only thing was could have been more sugar, our fault we should of brought some with us, wife and son take sugar in tea and coffee. But that was not owners fault more ours. That's it could not fault anything with property at all.
- Szilvia (8/5): I wish I could see in daylight! I arrived late and left too early, so I couldn’t see the sunny side of the house, but I - The remote location. some welcome lights would benefit for those who arrive late. Also a handrail in the shower would make it feel safer.
- Neville (9/5): Great place to stay for work or pleasure - Great location It a great place, peaceful
- Seamus (10/5): Exceptional -

- Freddie (10/5): It was perfect, comfy, clean and homely. - Thank you to Barnaby for a wonderful stay at Sunnyside. There is easy access and ample parking. The rooms are comfortable and very clean, with plenty of space. Barnaby was incredibly friendly and accommodating, he enabled me to postpone the booking by a week at the last minute without charging me anything extra. I highly recommend this place, and will be sure to visit again.
- Eleanor (10/5): Lovely location - super comfortable - Very easy collection. We got delayed and our arrival time changed but it was no problem -we were able to pick up the keys really easily.
