- Patricia (10/5): Super cosy and well equipped cottage - This was the perfect place for a stay on the N.Yorks coast. Really handy for Staithes, Runswick Bay, Whitby- super coastal walks. Very handy for pub food and fish n chips too. The cottage is super cosy and very well equipped with books, throws, toiletries and much more. And the host was very accommodating. Thank you! all good.

- Sophie (10/5): - Incredible location, host and place to stay. Nothing wrong at all
- Stefanie (9/5): Lovely place to stay - It was quiet and cosy and the host had put the heating on for us as we were arriving in the evening. We had everything we needed plus extras. The cottage has lots of outside space which the kids loved. A little tight for parking, but it wasn't a problem.

We found the location to be great for exploring Staithes and Whitby etc with the bus stop being very close and lots of amazing walks right from the doorstep. Nothing it was great!
- Bethany (10/5): Fantastic stay, hoping to book again - The cottage has everything you could possible need for a break away! A short drive into Whitby was perfect to beat the busyness that comes with goth weekend!
- Joe (10/5): - Great location with everything that we needed. Sue the owner was very helpful and would definitely return in the future. Parking is a bit fiddly but that's what happens with old properties

- JULIA (9/5): A very comfortable retreat perfectly placed to explore this lovely area - Comfortable and cosy with a lovely garden.
Quiet position off the main road but close to pubs, a fish and chip shop and an excellent bus service. Comfortable bed but just a bit tricky getting in and out!
- Caroline (10/5): Wonderful little cottage- perfect location! - Such a wonderful cottage- and the owners had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Particularly good for those with babies/young children. Perfect location - so close to Runswick Bay beach.
- Tracy & Simon (9/5): Really beautiful cottage, had everything we needed and our host communicated with us really quickly, thank you we needed - We loved the cottage, good space, great location and beautiful garden. Very relaxing The bed was a bit tight to get in and out of and the mattress was too firm for us, the bed was our only discomfort so didn’t feel very refreshed after our stay.
- Jodi (10/5): Amazing home with lots of fantastic extras in a great location - Great location, great decor, fab eco products for our use and lots of extras like milk in fridge and tea/coffee etc

Great location, easy drive to Whitby to pick up the park and ride.
Visited many places on our stay, including Staithes, Sandsend, and a beautiful drive on the Moors.
The cottage has everything you need. The attention to detail is superb. Little touches like a multi charger, coffee, milk, biscuits, and pretzels 👍
We couldn't have asked for more.
The local pub, a one minute walk away, was also amazing.
Highly recommend. Nothing, everything was brilliant.

- Sian (10/5): We’ll definitely return! - This was a beautiful, welcoming and well maintained property with a delightful garden and fabulous deep bath. The owners have clearly put considerable effort into making this a perfect place to escape for rest and relaxation! A great selection of scenic footpaths to explore by day and games, books and Netflix for the evenings. Plus two lovely pubs nearby, we had a great time.
- Samantha (9/5): Gorgeous garden, cosy cottage. - For me it was the garden that put the icing on the cake. It was beautiful and the summer house and fire pit meant we could spend the majority of our time outside. We were blessed with wonderful weather when we stayed so the outside space was delightful. The house was also lovely and very well equipped. The bed was comfy too. Nothing.
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Amazing great host lovely little cottage - Sue was a great host the cottage is well maintained and cared for with great little personal touches that make your stay feel special. Thanks sue

- Pete (10/5): Our stay at Idlewild - On arrival we had a lovely surprise awaiting us , courtesy of Spasm the dog butler . The owner Susan knew it was our anniversary and left a bottle of Prosecco in the capable hand of Spasm . The property itself has been very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated, it’s also well appointed with all the amenities you need . We especially liked the summer house in the garden which is another escape in itself and really private Nothing
- Karl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachael (10/5): We only wish we had booked to stay longer. - Comfortable, beautiful and spotlessly clean. All the extra touches didn’t go unnoticed and made our stay extra special. There was everything we could need which as a family travelling with young children meant a lot. We would ( and already have) recommend to anyone. Thanks for a fantastic weekend away Couldn’t fault a thing
- Fiona (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay, lots of information sent by the host. - Lovely cottage in a good location. Good sized garden. Comfortable beds. Parking a bit of a squeeze also dining a bit of a squeeze.
- Norah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): Lovely house & garden, spotless. - Lovely property & garden
- Christina (10/5): Friendly host contact and a welcoming arrival with little touches that make you remember the stay. - It felt very clean and cosy and relaxed The parking is very tight.
We parked on the main road most of the time as it was just easier when all the neighbours cars were parked too. It wasn’t a problem but could perhaps be mentioned in the information.
- Susan (10/5): Thank you for a lovely stay - The cottage was perfect would definitely consider staying again.
- Faye (9/5): Great location and great facilities - Had an amazing few days at the cottage. Great location for us as we were attending a wedding in Whitby. Property had so many facilities and we certainly made the most of the garden and summer house with the weather. All the little touches Susan put into the property made the stay so much more special.
