- Michaela (10/5): -
- Martin (10/5): Recommended for NC500 - Excellent location, spotlessly clean and welcoming. Having to leave!
- Steve (10/5): Wonderfully comfortable and great value cottage by the sea. - A beautifully presented cottage in Melvich - walking distance to local grocery store and coastal walk. 2 Bdrm, one bathroom. The owner(s) has gone to great lengths to make this a wonderfully comfortable and well equipped cottage by the sea. Highly recommended. My sons and I are over 6 foot tall and most of the low door frames and angled roofs are targets for hitting your head. Pays to stoop when walking around.
- Simon (10/5): Brilliant. - Everything met or exceeded exceptions. Nice walks & easy access to local facilities. Minor point - directions told us to look for a hotel on the A9 which has been redeveloped & wasn't obvious from the main road.
- duncan (9/5): - Lovely cottage, clean and very comfortable, owners were friendly and sorted a small problem with the heating instantly, great location for beach, NC 500,and walking trails, would definitely use again if we came back to the area. Nothing
- Lizzie (10/5): -
- Nina (10/5): Fantastic accommodation - Perfect place to stay in Portskerra! So cosy and comfortable with fantastic facilities and great communication from the property owner.
- Akeem (10/5): -
- Rainer (10/5): The South View in Portskerra is well worth a visit. - We had a wonderful stay in Portskerra. Our hosts, Yvonne and Alan, took great care of us. There is nothing to complain about.
- Paul (10/5): - Clean, comfortable, close to Melvich and Strathy beaches just off the NC500. Would not hesitate to recommend this property to others. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Chris (8/5): - Nicely appointed, easy to find
- Coen (9/5): -
- Jane (9/5): Great location, very clean and comfortable. - Directions to the property could do with being updated. Reference to turning down by 'the hotel' which is currently under renovation with nothing to indicate it was ever a hotel. The use of 'what three words' would have been helpful.
- Gerda (10/5): Lovely Scotland home - This is the real Scotland. A small village with a country store. A lovely typical Scotland home, tastefully furnished. A beautiful trail along the cliffs. Ocean view, sheep, a country feeling. We loved it.
- Thomas (10/5): -
- emiliano (10/5): - Bellissima struttura in un posto stupendo. La casa è pulita e ben arredata, molto confortevole. Nessun problema con l'host.
- Kerstin (10/5): - Absolut alles. .
- Susan (10/5): We wished we had the time to stay longer. - A delightful, very clean, comfortable 2 bedroom cottage in a friendly village. Fabulous walks, drives and beaches. The owners were very welcoming and informative and provided lots of little extras. The cottage exceeded expectations. I cannot think of anything that could have been done better.
- Keyur (9/5): A very good property - We liked the location and the stay was very comfortable.
- Andrew (10/5): - Clean, comfortable, extra details (milk, tea, biscuits, etc.)
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Josephine (10/5): Lovely cosy stay near the harbour ! - The property was gorgeous ! An old crofters cottage, renovated with taste and near the harbour ! It was warm and cosy and very comfortable! Nothing
- Christine (10/5): We loved it here, we walked down to the slip, and down to the harbour, the sunset was amazing. - Very cozy, love the views, very clean, the breakfast and biscuits were a nice surprise.
- Reachforthestars (9/5): A very comfortable North Coast retreat - Southview is a very clean and comfortable house, obviously recently decorated and with a new fitted kitchen, which is well-equipped. The decor and furnishings are modern and attractive. The bed was very comfortable and there is a good, spacious shower. Pleasant views over the pretty garden area (all the daffodils were in flower!) and with a view of the sea from the kitchen, and even Orkney from the bathroom! There is a nice coastal path at Portskerra, and a vast, beautiful beach at Melvich. The house is well-situated for visiting Thurso, the Flow Country and Strathnaver Museum. I was a bit mystified by the timing of the central heating, and could have done with some instructions!

All of the fittings and facilities are brand new, of high quality, and are finished to a very high standard. Every room was clean and spotless. The size is perfect for a family of four, in a beautiful location over looking the sea. We were very pleased with out stay, everything went smoothly and didn't experience any problems. We cannot fault this cottage, it was perfect.
- Viola (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet village that makes easy place to explore the area.
The cottage is beautiful, fully equiped, cozy, with a beautiful view.

- Fearn (10/5): This place is such a very special find! Couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Southview, Portskerra. Thank-you - We loved everything about this property from arriving to a gorgeous beautifully fresh clean warm home, thoughtful inclusions in the kitchen, comprehensive provision of all good quality matching kitchen and serving ware, great beds and linen, excellent bathroom and spacious shower, comfortable living and dining room furniture to the tasteful decorating and clear property instructions. Access, internet and parking are all good. There is a handy little store at the top of the road, too. Just to top it off is the location so close to the beach, with beautiful postcard views. We didn’t want to leave.
- Marina (10/5): Cosy cottage for an enjoyable holiday even if the weather isn't great - Beautiful, cosy cottage, recently renovated and tastefully decorated, lots of extra touches to make our stay comfortable. Portskerra is a lovely community too, neighbours and staff in the little takeaway serving coffee and ice cream were welcoming and friendly. Gorgeous beaches nearby and the Strathnaver Museum in Bettyhill is well worth a visit, even the kids enjoyed it. Cold and raining for most of our trip, but we loved watching the coastal weather passing and changing from the comfort of the cottage. (Photos taken during the brief breaks in the clouds!)
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
