• Schölzel (10/5): - Das Ryokan Bosenkan strahlt die gut alte Zeit aus. Man kommt sich zeitversetzt vor. Die Zimmer alle mit Tatami ausgestattet. Die Möbel wie aus alten Filmen. Der Onsen einmalig. Es gibt auch kleine Wohnungen mit eigenem Onsen im Garten. Wunderschön. Man möchte garnicht mehr weg. Alles sehr sauber. Super nette und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Gute englisch Kenntnisse. Und dann erst das Essen. Egal ob am Abend oder Morgen. Es ist fein und elegant zubereitet und schmeckt hervorragend. Alles super.

El sistema de desodorización que tienen debe ser muy efectivo. El Onsen fantástico y transfer gratuito desde la estación Igual la habitación necesita alguna repaso de pintura en las paredes que la haga lucir más porque lus ventanales y vistas son espectaculares
• Jansma-Sopacua (7/5): Prima, maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar - Het was een ruime kamer, groot genoeg voor een gezin van vijf. Er waren voldoende welnessfaciliteiten. Kregen bij binnenkomst allen een badjas met toebehoren voor het bezoek aan de welness. Het hotel was wel een beetje wat je noemt vergane glorie. Verouderde douche en toilet op de kamer, gedateerde inrichting. Het diner was in een soort ongezellige conferentiezaal. Op de afbeeldingen had ik de verwachting dat het in een restaurant met uitzicht op de tuin was. Het was een luxe Japans diner, voor ons een nieuwe ervaring. Maar we kregen verder geen uitleg over de gerechten of hoe het werkte. Dit was wat overweldigend, zeker voor de kinderen. Het was van alle overnachtingen die we in Japan hadden gehad de duurste, maar viel ons ook het meest tegen.

Every staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel very well taken care of during our stay. The facilities are a little bit older.

• CHUTIMA (8/5): - Friendly staff, the Japanese beds are comfy but onsen facility especially dressing part needs to improve in terms of cleanliness. Not so sure if the room I stayed is near any smoking room because there was strong smell of smoking cigarette in front of the room. And I can hear noise of trains passing very nearby when staying in the bedroom. Luckily, the train stopped running during night time.

• michiko (10/5): とてもよかったです。 - 働いているスタッフさんみんなが笑顔でとても丁寧でした。お部屋も古き趣ある感じでしたがお掃除がとても丁寧にされているからかとても清潔で綺麗に感じました。 チェックアウト後も13時までは車も停めさせて頂けてとても助かりました。また利用したいです。 線路近くなので仕方ないですが電車が来るたび踏切の音は気になりました。

• corinne (2/5): Déception - Becarfull. The photos on the website only highlight the beautiful things. The Oncen is very pleasant. The outdoor garden is very beautiful. To have a good experience at this hotel, perhaps you should book the special rooms with a true river view... We were extremely disappointed with this hotel. The room, booked over three months in advance, was on floor 2, and instead of a "mountain view," it actually overlooked the parking lot and the railway tracks. The room, like the hotel itself, is outdated. There were water stains on the ceiling, stained carpets, and a bad smell. We asked if it was possible to have another room, as we had booked three nights. We were met with a very poor reception and a flat "no." We're not usually fussy, but this was a stark contrast to all the other hotels we've stayed in over the past three weeks. In the end, we cut our stay short, losing a night we'd already paid for. We couldn't even find a taxi to take us to the train station. It was completely below the standard of service and the quality of Japanese staff we've encountered everywhere else.

• Pattamakan (8/5): ราคาไม่แพงมาก ห้องพักกว้าง  - โรงแรมติดแม่น้ำ วิวห้องพักสวยมาก มองออกไปริมแม่น้ำ ห้องพักกว้าง มีรถรับส่งจากสถานีรถไฟ ทั้งไปกลับ แต่รอบเวลาอาจจะมีจำกัด บ่อออนเซ็นด้านนอกโอเคดีมาก บ่อออนเซ็นต้องลงบันไดไปอีก ชันมากพอควร โรงแรมดูเก่า น่าจะด้วยว่าลงโรงแรมนี้มีมานานมาก เก่าตามกาลเวลา

• Micaela19 (8/5): Cool experience - Very authentic, onsen was great. Old style vibe, but in a very good way Majority of staff don't speak English and some don't look very impressed if you don't speak Japanese :( You can hear the train if you have a room facing the carpark.

• YoungWuk Lee (4/5): 가성비는 좋은 편이나. 객실 담배냄새 개선이 필요함. 가족여행에는 비추천 - 시내 중심에 위치하고 있으며, 조식이 훌륭함 객실의 담배 냄새가 너무 심하여서 숨쉬기 힘들정도이며, 귀국후에도 옷과 배낭에 냄새가 베어있음. 호텔의 역사가 오래된 점은 이해하나 시대가 변하였으므로 금연객실을 정하여 운용함이 좋을 것으로 생각됨. 당초 메일로 모든 객실이 흡연실이라고 연락을 받았음.

• Ann (4/5): Overpriced and not worth it! - It was really nice having a private onsen on the balcony of our room. The room was clean and comfortable We are non smokers and got the last room which happened to be a smoking room. They deodorized it well and it didn’t smell in our room HOWEVER; while we were sitting outside in the tub we were getting the cigarette smoke from people smoking outside around us. In addition to the smoke we were also getting gas fumes from what I assume was a gas heater. Not pleasant and definitely affected our stay. If that wasn’t bad enough our room was located right by the train line so every half an hour or so a train when roaring by just steps from our balcony. This was not the relaxing vacation we had hoped for. The food was so-so. Would I recommend Bosenkan? Absolutely NOT

• Astrid (6/5): Preis-Leistung nicht gerechtfertigt - Unser Apartment war geräumig und eine schöne Aussicht. Wir waren nur einmal im Onsen. Leider keine Sauna. Das Hida Rind Dinner und das Frühstück standen lange am Platz, manche Sachen waren nicht so frisch. Vieles in die Jahre gekommen. Individuelle Wünsche können nicht erfüllt werden.

• Mathieu (8/5): - Bon accueil avec un staff qui parle bien anglais. Le dîner au bœuf Hida était très bon ! L’hôtel est bien situé, avec son parking et proche de la ville qui est très belle. Possibilité de réserver un bain privé pendant 45min (environ 12€). On recommande !

• sumeth (9/5): A perfect hotel to stay in nice town of Gero, - Bosenkan is a well design old hotel with good facilities -onsen is on basement floor with outside pool is very good and open 24 hrs - with some break cleaning hours -room is big and comfortable, we have river view and close to railway track that we feel ok with train running sound occasionally that is ok. -breakfast is traditional Japanese set that change every day. -they has very big parking space next to hotel, so people who plan to drive will be very happy -all staff is very helpful and can communicate in English fluently. In overall, Gero is small town good for traveller who want a relax and real traditional Japanese trip. We also took half day to Takayama and feel unimpressed as a lot of westerner tourist all around town with everything expensive. before my stay, I read many guest reviews about old hotel and cigarettes smell that quite discourage us a bit, but when we enter our room on 6th floor and stay for 3 nights, I can say that those negative review was too much negative.
