Guest Reviews
- Brendon (9/5): -
- Lizelle (8/5): - Comfortable cozy and have everything you need Liked everything just would like more lite to open the blinds and maybe another set of towels.
- Camilla (5/5): Disappointing. - Good position, close to shops and amenities, sweet management team to let one in (thank you Michael!), and a sense of security. This property could have so much going for it if the owner would just pay a little more attention to detail. The property felt a little run down with shutters hanging off, etc. The location is great, but in the height of summer their was only one fan available, the pillows in the kids bedroom (which I used), were like concrete, there was a cockroach INSIDE the fridge and despite our warnings that the fridge was failing it took 4 days to replace it, resulting in food loss. I asked the owner to call me privately after departure in an effort to avoid leaving a bad review, but she didn’t bother to call me back. There were no salad server or casserole dishes and all in all, for the price, the cottage felt under provided for - for example I felt that more than 1 bath towel for an entire weeks stay should have been provided (especially as there was no washing machine!).
- Willem (5/5): - Easy The fact that i received a message 2 days ago saying 4 wine glasses and a whiskey glass was gone - we dont even drink wine !!!!
- George (10/5): We loved staying in Paternoster. We came home with happy hearts. - Property has awesome location The beds mattresses are not very comfortable!!
- Jacques (10/5): - Nice isolated fishing town with friendly people. Didnt catch any fish from the rocks😀
- Raymond (10/5): -
- Desmond (7/5): Very enjoyable - Near beach Beds, lounge suits and cooking utensils not up to standard
- Joseph (8/5): Still love it - Lovely location and Bokkie is really nice. I have stayed there many times One of my guests tripped over the soft rug under the coffee table and damaged her knee quite badly. Accidents happen., However, I also tripped over the soft rug. The sofas are exceptionally hard and uncomfortable and the dining chairs could do with some cushions.
- Andre (7/5): Fairly pleasant - Mostly II find it very funny to pay more than R3000 per day and you supply ONE ONLY toilet roll. Not to mention the SMALL bottle of diluted dish washing liquid.
I don't think the visitors understand how the parking bays work. Please explain how parking bay numbers versus unit names woek.
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Fortuin (9/5): - I loved the security provided the walking distance to the beach. The braai roster is in a very bad condition, and black pot (maybe thinking about providing a nr 2 pot), Also, if fans can be available, it gets very hot inside the rooms

The place was very clean and comfortable and central. The neighbours were very loud in the evenings.
I would have liked to have been given a spare toilet roll for each toilet and a handwash soap at each basin.

- Claudette (10/5): Perfect location. Lovely host, very nice cottage, everything one needs for a lovely stay! - Everything was really nice. Fabulous all round! Nothing.. the neighbour put up a new security light which glows into the bathroom window at night. Maybe worth looking into. We just kept the door closed so not biggie.
- Abi (8/5): Lovely cottages on the beach - convenient, good self-catering units. - We were running late to arrive in the allotted time to collect the keys and so the hosts offered to leave them in a safe place at the reception of Noisy Oyster restaurant across the road which was really helpful (and handy!)
The house is right on the beach so we had a view of the ocean. It’s in a little enclosure of fisherman style cottages. They are clean and well maintained with good facilities set up for self catering holidays but also walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Paternoster. It’s a great location for ease of getting around the town. The first night we stayed was great.
The second day a couple of very large groups arrived in the houses opposite ours and it became quite noisy for us as we were looking for a quiet weekend away. They had fun and were very nice people so no real complaints. Just to say that if you’re looking for peace and quiet here rather go during the week and out of school holidays.
- Burgert (8/5): Questions about overall security on Die Kom Area, street vendors actually intruding on Unit premises - Bathrooms need some refurbishment ie Towel handles loose, toilet roll fixtures loose, drains had a nasty smell. toilet brushes can be replaced
WiFi router cable on floor loose and can be damaged.
Next door unit Emergency and Alarm blue light flashing continuously and very disturbing from 2nd Bathroom window
Outdoor Braai area light not functioning
- Angeline (8/5): Very good - Location perfect close to everything

- Lee-anne (9/5): Superb - Very spacious and close to the beach.
- Uys (7/5): Good - All good The toilet's are too small for adults
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emlyn (9/5): Superb - This place is very good location for any young family. The cushions are a bit worn out. The shutters were not well maintained.
- Ronell (7/5): Good -
- Nic (9/5): great place to stay - great spot to stay and enjoy Paternoster. nice that each bedroom has its own bathroom. we were very comfortable and the beach is on your doorstep.
- Lilian (6/5): Pleasant - Freshness and cleansingness of the place. The pots were to small for cooking. Stove didn't work so we were without a hot breakfast or a meal during the duration of our stay. Had to remove some kitchen utensils to cook in the resort on gas.
- Gerrit (6/5): a very noisy place. - house was comfortable and clean.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Marion (10/5): felt home away from home :) - lovely accommodation, great location. great communication . would love to come back again 🥰 everything was great! all basic but that’s all you need 😊
