• Jodi (9/5): - The building itself was stunning. Our host went above and beyond to welcome us to their property. We were welcomed with a lokum and raki. The room overlooked their lovely courtyard. We enjoyed sitting out on our personal balcony. The room was very comfortable and our hosts made sure we were warm and comfortable. The location is excellent to access the old town.

• Irina (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay at this lovely family-owned guest house. With only two rooms, it feels very intimate and personal, and it truly gave me the feeling of being immeresed in the local culture rather than just visiting as a tourist. The hosts were extremely polite and welcoming, while also being respectful of privacy - always available if needed, but never intrusive. They made me feel completely at home from the moment I arrived. Although it was not the typical tourist season in Gjirokaster, I actually found beauty in being part of the city itself, the quiet atmosphere allowed me to experience the beauty of the city in a more personal and authentic way.

• Wannes (9/5): Top verblijf voor schappelijke prijs om Gjirokaster te bezoeken! - We werden erg vriendelijk verwelkomd door de gastheer. Hij wachtte ons op op straat en hielp zelf met parkeren. Hij stuurde een whatsapp-berichtje met toeristische trekpleisters, restaurants, bars en ontbijtplaatsen. De inkom en gang zijn erg stijlvol. De kamer was erg authentiek en al het noodzakelijke was aanwezig. De prijs valt erg goed mee en is heel eerlijk. De kamer was gedateerd maar wel authentiek. Er was wat nachtlawaai. De badkamer was vrij klein. De douche zou een upgrade kunnen gebruiken.
• James Kim (10/5): - The owners of this apartment were so nice. They went out of their way to help us with transport to and from the property. They provided us with lots of useful information about Gjirokaster. The room and facilities were great - everything you need, and also included a lovely private patio area in their garden. There are small convenience stores nearby, and the old town bazaar area is only an 8 minute walk away. It was an amazing experience staying in a traditional family home - but very private at the same time. Totally recommend!! Nothing.

• Guest (10/5): Fantastic - We loved everything. The location was good, just a small walk up into the square. Aris was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He greeted us with raki and a sweet treat. Also gave us a ton of recommendations to eat and visit. Great experience. The parking situation was okay. We did get a ticket overnight, but aris took care of it. The hospitality was 10/10.

• Bert (10/5): Zeer gastvrije accommodatie - De gastvrijheid. Van te voren werd er gevraagd of er een parkeerplaats beschikbaar moest worden gehouden. Deze was dan bij aankomst ook nog beschikbaar, de gastheer hielp bij het inparkeren (normaliter zou je niet proberen om op de aangewezen plaats parkeren). Bij binnenkomst stond er een welkomsborrel met een snackje klaar. Gastheer deelt ook interessante locaties binnen de stad, zodat er geen tijd verspild hoeft te worden met zinloos ronddwaalen. Locatie is met de auto goed bereikbaar en binnen enkele minuten sta je in het centrum! Niks viel tegen!
• Dihia (8/5): Je recommande, bon rapport qualité prix et localisation - La localisation de l'hôtel est très bien , à 10 MN à pied en pente de la veille ville et bazare et resto. La chambre correct avec le nécessaire et terrasse agréable. Équipée de cuisine également. Le propriétaire très sympathique et serviable La qualité du lit à améliorer car pas ferme et donc douleur de dos toute la nuit .
• Susana (8/5): Un alojiento muy agradable y bien situado - Es una casa tradicional cuidada y agradable .Nuestra habitación tenía un patio muy mono y todo lo necesario para nuestra estancia corta. La cama y el sofá cama eran cómodos y el baño pequeño pero funcional.Aris fue muy amable y nos ayudó en nuestra llegada y todo nos resultó perfecto. La llegada fue un poco liosa porque el GPS nos mandó por el centro de Gjirokastër que es impracticable en coche.Afortunadamente Aris nis dio las instrucciones necesarias para poder llegar y nos aparcó el coche .
• John (10/5): Excellent 10 - Aris on arrival greeting us with Raki and yummy Turkish delights and helped us with attractions prior to arrival communicating on what’s app informing us places to see. He also advised us where to eat and the history of this city. What made it more special for me was he spoke Greek coming from Australia it was good to speak the language. I got to meet his parents they were welcoming it felt like home. Everything worked in apartment we even had a lovely outside court yard. It’s beautiful place. Also Aris helped us find a car park near front of his home and with our bags. Nothing

• Isabel.G. (9/5): - Muy buena ubicación si vas a ver el centro de Gjirokastra, no está arriba del todo de la colina, pero si muy cerca. No cuenta con parking, pero te ayudan a encontrar estacionamiento. La comunicación ha sido muy fluida e incluso te da recomendaciones de sitios para comer. Nuestra habitación tenía una terraza muy agradable con vistas al castillo. Nada, pero es una casa tradicional, por lo que hay que tener en cuenta que hay un tramo de las escaleras que es bastante empinado.

Climatisation silencieuse, Le propriétaire est extrement gentil, il nous a transmis pleins d’adresses sur gjirokatser Nous y reviendrons sans hésiter, un excellent rapport qualité prix!
• Marieke (9/5): Geweldig - Heel warm ontvangst, aardige eigenaren. Fijne kamer, prachtig tuintje. Alles was top. Steile helling het centrum in, maar dat heb je overal in Gjirokaster. Goede schoenen aan en gaan.

• Simon (10/5): Welcomed to Gjirokaster - I can't praise this place enough. The host welcomed us into his home beautifully and shared the history and culture of the area. It was lovely to stay in a traditional home rather than a bland hotel. The room has been prepared with such care and attention to detail. It has plenty of space, a full kitchen, great air con and very comfortable bed. The location is perfect, on a charming cobbled street very close to the bazaar and castle. A short walk up the road and we were in the heart of the bazaar. We researched Gjirokaster before coming and thought we knew what to expect but it is soooo much better in reality. The architecture, the charm and the people blew us away. You will fall in love with the people here, their hospitality is incredible and you feel so welcomed by everyone. Gjirokaster stole our hearts, it has been a highlight of our trip and staying in this home was a big part of that. I only wish we had stayed here longer. Absolutely nothing - it was perfect 😊

The area is quiet but and just a short walk to the bazaar and castle. The hosts are also so kind and helpful. My favourite place I’ve stayed in Albania!

• Rita (10/5): Authentic details and really cosy place to stay right near the old bazaar. - Really comfortable place to stay, right near the centre of Gjirokaster. The environment of the house, with beautiful details of typical ottoman architecture makes more authentic the experience. Besides, Aris is a perfect host and makes you feel really welcomed with all the tips and context about the house and surrounding area. Totaaaally recommend it! Nothing to declare!

• John (10/5): Good value guest house with easy bus station access - Great apartment with a good kitchen area and lovely private garden area. The location was good for our bus arrival and departure, being around 15 minutes walk away but before the hills get seriously steep. 10 minutes further walk up hill to the old town centre. We were met on arrival by Andrew who gave us raki and walnut Albanian delight and an interesting discussion about Albania. We enjoyed our stay. No hot water both mornings of our stay (ok in the evening) but an engineer had been called to fix the issue so that wouldn't be a problem in future.

The family has updated their childhood home with such love and care and the space is modern but full of original character. It's a rare find and is truly gorgeous by any standard. You're welcomed with local patisserie treats and treated with the warmth and hospitality of an old friend. A really magical place to stay and I only wish I had longer there. I hope to return, I loved it.
