• Anuradha (9/5): Excellent stay.. - Location of the place is perfect,walking distance from Govind Nagar beach,supermarket , playground etc. Also,kalapathar beach and Radhnagar beach can be easily accessed using bikes. . They have ample of space on terrace for drying cloths.Also , a fridge,microwave in common launge . The breakfast was good .The staff also suggested a few places to eat who deliver food at Bhuma,which served delicious food. The place is very clean,ambiance is good,they have a small library with books and board games which kids can play freely. Staff is cordial,humble and co operative they helped us arrange bikes for transport..overall ,it was an excellent stay. There were lizards on the dining area roof which was disturbing. Because of that we had to eat dinner in the kitchenette in the room. Hope the owner does something about it .

• Mark (10/5): Friendly staff and comfortable accommodation - The staff were friendly and helpful, organising our transport to and from the resort, for example. We were also given a free upgrade and late check out. The room was modern and had all the things we needed. For anything else, we just had to ask and they also told us a place to hang our towels. We also like the fact that there was a jug of water we could refill free of charge, which means no unnecessary plastic bottle usage. Unfortunately, we didn't have time for breakfast as we were always diving in the morning, but I've heard it's good! If we come back to Havelock, we'll definitely be returning! Nothing.
• Paweł (10/5): Amazing homestay, warm hospitality, great local tips, spotlessly clean. - The staff is welcoming and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. The breakfasts are tasty and plentiful. The location of the homestay is perfect - a side street in the center of the island - shops and a few beaches and great restaurants are close on foot. For the more remote beaches it’s all within 10-20 minutes by a 2-wheeler. All the switches are labelled so as a guest you don’t have to guess or remember which button does what. There are even privacy screens on windows so passers by do not peek into your room. It’s the most pleasant stay we’ve had in India during our 3 week trip.

They sorted out all our issues right from reaching the loc to booking of slots for kayaking and scuba. Would definitely recommend for families. There are lots of places to dine within 1 km like Mango tree, Rajasthani restaurant which are good and economical. We extensively used the electric bus service from loc to Radhanagar beach and kalapathar beach. Trek to Elephanta beach was an added adventure. Would love to stay again.

Also near to the Market junction to get to Radha Nagar AC bus service. Gowtham is good host who helped to book all ferry tickets in advance at discount. Also advised Scuba diving, restaurants and other bookings. Highly recommended this. Note: rooms on the second floor, need to take steps.

• Beatrice (10/5): Exceptional - Bhuma homestay offers the nice experience of having a „home away from home“, but also great services, proactiv recommendations, a hearty atmosphere and so much more, that a „real hotel“ often is lacking of. From the moment I booked my stay I had such a nice contact and conversation with the owner family, got offered to organize the ferry tickets for me, which I of course gladly accepted, and once here I was provided with such a homely ambiance that made my arrival on this island very special. Even after leaving their place, the owner offered that I can contact him anytime with queries about the islands. Added to that, my room was spotlessly clean, with A/C, constant hot water and WIFI. I also liked the common area a lot, and the breakfast served was delicious and plentyful. Highly recommended place in Havelock - also one of the beaches and some nice restaurants are in walking distance.

Super clean, quiet and with a massive room with lots of extra touches you don't often experience in India - extra pillows, hand towels, first aid kit, library. The host and his team were amazing -so kind, friendly, generous, and helpful - nothing was a bother. Communication was fantastic We were able to borrow snorkeling equipment and given fantastic local tips of where to go. Super close to some great restaurants and local eateries. Hosts Madhuri and Gauthama recommended some wonderful hidden gem beaches to visit and are a great source of knowledge on the history and cultures of the area. Vikas, the property caretaker, really went out of his way to make sure guests have a comfortable stay. I had a very spacious suite with everything I needed on hand. The South Indian breakfast, served on the property, was a delicious way to wake up each day.

• Lalsangzuala (10/5): Bhuma, a home away from home - what i like most about this cozy, budget friendly homestay is their hospitality. they guided us to navigate our first trip to Andaman and Nicobar island so smoothly. they went out of their way to help us in every step right from arranging airport pick up, ferry ticket, trip planning which was a great help because we came on our own without any travel agency/ guide. the room we got was spacious and clean, super comfortable bed and with all basic amenity you would need. top notch hospitality from all the staff members. also not to forget the heavenly south indian breakfast, so yummy. on our last day, as we need to leave early, they got up early to pack a breakfast for us too. highly recommended. you need to go outside for lunch and dinner, though many eateries and small restaurants are just next door. In house restaurant will make the stay more comfortable

Special shoutout to Gautam for helping us with all the suggestions to explore the island. Also, Vikas and Didi for always being there to ensure a very memorable stay. The homestay is conveniently located near [ Radhanagar Beach, Kata Patar Beach and the local market. It's the ideal starting point for local exploration. All things considered, I heartily endorse Bhuma Homestay to anyone looking for a friendly and accommodating stay.

No lift, have take stairs to 2nd floor every time you plan to go out.

• S (10/5): Very Comfortable Accommodation with Excellent Service! - We stayed for a week and had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Bhuma. It had a very homely feel and this was to a large extent because of the excellent service provided by Gautham, Vikas, Didi and the very pleasant owner. They kindly offered laundry washing which was nice especially staying there for a week. Breakfast was fresh and of good quality. Gautham would kindly explain things that we could see and visit on the island, which was helpful. Vikas always offered service with a smile. And the young maid, Didi, worked tirelessly to ensure that breakfast was served on time and that the place was clean and well maintained. The accommodation is centrally located to visit the key attractions on the island. We have already recommended this place to a lone female friend as we know she will be looked after very well here. If we are ever back in Havelock, this will be the place where we will stay!

Providing complimentary laundry, delicious idli breakfast with fresh fruit juice & coffee - always with a smile, amazing hospitality! The room was clean, spacious and quiet with lots of hot water too - highly recommend if looking for stay close to the township (approximately 10 minutes to restaurants & pub), 15 minute rickshaw to Kala Pathar & Radha Nagar beaches + a 5 minute ride to the jetty. The homestay is located right next to govindnagar beach which has pristine waters. We could even do scuba diving there which was a wonderful experience. Rooms were clean, they arrange everything for you from scuba diving contacts to vehicles and good breakfast. Rooms were also very big.

• Surya (9/5): Superb - It is a perfect place to spend your holidays at Bhuma Homestay. As the word suggests, it's the perfect home away from home. We stayed in room 4, which is a 2 room unit with beds to accommodate 5 adults at least. The rooms are clean and enough space is there for ones luggage. The wardrobe shelves have enough space for 5 as well, and a small pantry with a watercooker along with tea coffee is replenished every day. The owners, Madhuri and Gautam, were superhosts and were always there to help. If one needs to go diving, as Gautam suggests, one can go to Dive India next to the Blue Moon Cafe. Vikas, the receptionist, was one heck of a guy who would go the distance to sort things out for you. If you need anything, just ask. Didi, who is the nice lady who takes care of the breakfast and housekeeping part, is super friendly and nice. We could even keep our food in the fridge upon request. All in all, it was an amazing place. We felt like home. Thanks once again to the whole team at Bhuma. Will definitely come back one day. Nothing.

Go for it. - This was one of the best hotels i've experienced as a traveller, apart from clean rooms and amenities, the staff and the owner were the kindest people ever.. literally did not feel like leaving Havelock island because they made our stay so pleasant. It was on the 3rd floor, so walking up the stairs was difficult for my aged parents.

Rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. In room WIFI is available. Hospitality is great. Breakfast was Awesome. Mr Gautam helped us plan our entire stay and activities, he also helped us with the booking of activities at discounted prices. Mr Vikas (managing the place) was always cheerful and helpful. He helped us with additional information whenever required and also helped us with two-wheeler rentals, pickup and drop, etc. Even the maid/helping hand was always willing to assist with a smile. In a nutshell, a great experience for me, my wife and kids. I would certainly recommend this place to everyone planning to stay in Havelock. They even have a recreational area with a small library with nice books and games for kids. My kids and wife also loved this place. There is nothing unlikable about this place.
• Khanna (9/5): Superb - I just stayed for one day still this stay was the most memorable one and the credit goes to Bikash who was exceptionally helpful.He gave lots of useful tips about getting around like He guided me to use the ac bus as I didn't know how to drive a scooty.The staff is very helpful.The property is certainly located and it's done up so nicely that it touches your heart . especially the staircase area and the breakfast area .The breakfast area is open and fresh Breeze makes the breakfast more enjoyable.The rooms are very thoughtfully done which makes everything easy to use . • Sitabhra (10/5): Home comforts in an idyllic location - like staying with long time close friends - We had booked Bhuma for our 3-day vacation stay at Havelock Island (Swaraj dwip) after reading the several good reviews of it, and we must say that this place really deserves those stars. From the moment we entered, Bikash-babu, the gentleman at the reception, made sure that we didn't face any inconvenience - including noticing that we had small folding umbrella and immediately lending us a big umbrella to keep with us for the duration of our stay - because he said the rain was too heavy and it was very windy for our umbrellas to be of much use - and he was right! He gave lots of useful tips about getting around, like renting a scooty would be the cheapest way of getting around, etc. The lady who served us breakfast (wonderful combo of plain dosa, idly-vada & coffee), Kalpana, quickly met our every request always with the most beautiful smile. She prepared egg omlette especially for our 12 year old, and on the morning we left prepared three ready to go food packs for us at 7 in the morning. The owner was super-helpful and personally helped us get utensils etc for our dinner which we had brought from outside and had at the homestay. All in all, it was fantastic! Can't really think of anything. Just be aware that the insects tend to be attracted to light in the evenings if you keep your windows open - but that was our fault!

• Antarleen (10/5): Exceptional - The staff are excellent. Gautama and Bikash Da manage the property. They avoid the use of plastics. Have a washing machine to do your laundry.
• Baptista (9/5): Superb - Rooms are very cozy and comfortable while being worth the money which also includes complimentary breakfast which is delicious. Also it's located at the main center close and easily accessible to whichever beach or restaurant. A totally amazing place with very helpful and welcoming staff
• Sivanandam (9/5): Superb - The staff at the facility were very kind and their hospitality made us feel at home. They were very kind to guide us and help us to plan our holidays and they also helped us book our activities and journey plans. The facility is just 1 km away from the jetty. But, still they charge exorbitant for this 1 km ride. Since the hotel is very near, they could include complimentary pickup and drop to the jetty. Moreover, we do not have any options for us to take any public transport to reach the hotel.
• Ilango (10/5): Memorable stay - Located close to the center. More like a home. Staff as well the owner were very friendly and supportive to all needs. Traditional breakfast was home prepared and served fresh, warm. Had facilities for washing clothes. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathroom shower helped us to cool down from the heat. Nothing we could think about.
