Guest Reviews
- Elaine (9/5): - It felt like a real home, comfy and beautifully decorated. A carefully considered place for a mini break with puzzles and books to while away a rainy day or cosy evening in. The little garden outside adds to its charm. I would definitely return for another relaxing break but for longer next time.
- Jennifer (9/5): Lovely small apartment close to central Dunsborough - A lovely little apartment, private whilst being attached to the main house. It was very clean and nicely decorated, quiet and a central location, which suited our needs well. The only drawback from our point of view was the mattress, which both of us found to be too soft.
Otherwise I’d be back in a heartbeat.
- James (10/5): - It was so beautiful😻 like a one bedroom apartment quite cozy and very central There was nothing to not like
- Rolanda (7/5): -
- Morgan (8/5): A good spot. - It was just lovely No sink in the pantry/kitchen. One needs to be fitted. Also the shower head height is very low
- Jeffrey Bremer (10/5): - Clean, spacious, quiet .. good facilities. No kitchen but still had a small fridge, freezer, jug, microwave, toaster, cutlery, plates and bowls etc. All in excellent condition.
- Kirraleigh (9/5): -
- Micheal (10/5): Recommend to stay 😀 - Close to town bed was super comfortable cool decor nice place
- Hope (8/5): - You get total privacy Nothing
- Orla (10/5): -
- Ronald (10/5): -
- Michael (6/5): - Comfortable and well sppointed Supposedly wheelchair accessible but my chair didn't fit through some doors
- Stephen (7/5): Quiet and convenient for a short break - Comfortable and quiet, close to town, spacious bedroom and bathroom, Netflix and nice private outdoor area (not that we used it due to rain!) No kitchen sink. No path and to walk across grass which wasn’t great in wet weather
- Shaye (9/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Fabulous - Everyting Nothing
- L (9/5): -
- James (10/5): Laid back slow comfy break, would recommend - Kit was quaint and clean & tidy Having to wash dishes outside
- Amber (9/5): - Unique build, tastefully decorated with cool side tables and lamps and indoor plants. Comfortable bed. Easy location for Dunsborough and surrounds. Nice hot water. Loved the purple petunias. 🙏🙏 Thanks for the handy pad! 🌊🦎🏊♀️⚘️ Would be great if some of the bedroom shelving space could be added to kitchen space. No complaints, though!!
- Gorka (10/5): - La tranquilidad y la decoración del apartamento.
- Thomas (10/5): Very comfortable - Lisa Swan was very helpful getting me a Australian plug adapter and recommending a few restaurants
- Linda (6/5): Disappointing. - Place was clean and well presented in the decor
Bedroom was spacious and comfortable
Nice shower Not having a kitchen! and did not like having to wash dishes outside on the lawn due to no kitchen sink. Only found this out when details of code for key pickup was sent day before by email.
A small area for shelves was provided with kettle toaster and coffee maker. With cups etc and cutlery ( only 2 of everything) only a bar fridge.
No real place to easily sit for a breakfast or dinner, only the low lounge chair and occasional table
Feels like this Is targeted at couples who to prefer eating out for every meal
Also it appears the cottage is somehow attached to their house as when we sitting in the main room we could hear the washing machine going through a locked door in our cottage
- Kylie (7/5): Pleasant stay. Definitely need your own car to get to accommodation. Good for short stays. Very quiet. Easy to tour aro - Very clean and very quiet No actual kitchen. No in walking distance to anything.
- Gemma (10/5): -
- Kristian (10/5): -
- Sharon (9/5): Lovely place to stay. - Beautiful cottage, very comfortable and lovely. No kitchen sink.
- Tanya (10/5): - Pictures don’t do it justice , the interior is beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. It was very clean and in great condition. Really enjoyed our stay wish we could have stayed longer !
- Troy (8/5): -
- Moore (8/5): Great place to chill out. - The place was clean, it was comfortable and roomy I think for the price it could have had a sink in the kitchen.
- GARY (9/5): Very relaxing - Very nicely presented and private. Would stay again.
- Dedman (8/5): -
- Anton (9/5): - It was such a great place for me.
- Michelle (10/5): It’s was a perfect place to relax the night before my big event. - Its attention to detail and tranquility of the retreat.
- Toni (10/5): Clean, comfy and great location - Clean, well presented The walls are quite thin and so you can hear any noise from the main house bathroom.
- daryl (10/5): - Very clean and tidy The only issue was the bed sagging in the middle. Otherwise spot on
- Louise (9/5): Very cosy and comfortable furnishings. Easy parking, private with outdoors if you have time to utilise. - Very homey feel with comfortable bed and contemporary colour scheme. Lots of windows looking out to gardens. Only thing missing was small coffee cups.
- Pamela (9/5): Clean, comfortable and close to town - Clean, comfortable and close to town
- Robert (9/5): -
- Benjamin (10/5): -
- Krystel (10/5): Incredible - Such a small piece of paradise in Dunsborough. I absolutely loved my stay. The place is comfortable, cozy, and feels so homely, I would happily spend a week there.
The addition of the small front garden is amazing. Located only 15min walk from the town centre, it's just a wonderful space to relax and take it slow. That I couldn't stay for more than a night
- Sunil (8/5): -
- Jennifer (9/5): Villa surprise - Did not expect as much space as there was, a villa with private courtyard, hooray. Loved the decor and cosy warm rooms. Very comfortable and just a 2 minute drive to town centre. Addition of BBQ was excellent idea and I made good use of it the first night!
- Rikki (7/5): Lovely rustic cottage stay - Rustic, 3 seperate rooms, large bedroom and reasonable size lounge with lovely outdoor garden area. Clean with a comfy bed. The host never bothered us at all. Kitchenette was a fridge with cutlery and plates etc. No sink to clean dishes or fill water bottles or ice containers, wash fresh fruit. The house is made of hay bail with a common wall to the residents. You can hear each other. It’s a bit of a walk to town . The shower head was super low and no places to place your toiletries in the bathroom
- Rebecca (10/5): A little rustic hideaway treat! - Tasteful design and artwork emphasising the creative abundance of the region.
A very comfortable bed!
Thank you for our stay.
X Couldn’t fault much, however, the bathroom perhaps needed a shelf to place wash bags etc.
- Sharjeel (9/5): -
- Outred (9/5): Great for overnight stay - Location was excellent. It was everything we needed for an overnight stay. The showerhead was quite low so would be a problem for anyone over 5ft 10.
Everything else was great
- Peter (9/5): A very comfortable stay at a very convenient location which is close to Dunsborough town - The ambience and the setting We need a kitchen sink would have made it even better
- Marnie (8/5): - It was quirky and comfortable.
- Bruce (10/5): -
- Angela (10/5): Beautiful space to recharge and reset. - This property was perfect for my short solo trip to recharge and reset. The photos don’t do it justice, the place is beautiful. I especially enjoyed the cosiness of the place on a cold wintery evening . Thankyou :)
- Mervyn (10/5): Cosy and quirky - Very cosy and comfortable strawbale mini house. Key pick up from a key holder with PIN. Suburban street with nice gentle walks. Lots of cafes and supermarkets nearby and touristy options of beaches, national parks and a light house. Beautiful bush land. Nice to have the privacy not available with motels and caravan parks.
- Marcello (7/5): Good - The accommodation was clean, tidy and very comfortable. The only issue we had with it was the fact it was attached to a private residence. It was not a stand- alone building. We were therefore very worried about making any noise. Also, they're was no real kitchen, which meant we had to eat out for every meal. Other than that, it was nice.
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arthur (8/5): Good accommodation let down by dish washing, sound insulation and parking - Warm, good TV, comfortable large bed Car parking, dish washing facilities
- Sandra (10/5): a cosy comfotable sleep - Lisa was very accommodating, lots of space, super clean and comfortable, highly recommended.
- Jamie (10/5): Exceptional - The place was clean and comfortable with everything I needed
- Mark (10/5): perfect - everything we needed was there, it was so nicely decorated,a perfect home from home it was a bit of a walk into town but not really a negative
- Jodie (10/5): Fabulous place! Would stay again. - Beautiful interior design. Bed was divine.
- Livia (9/5): We will be back in summer to enjoy garden as well - Good location and very clean. We had just one chair inside the room for 2 people
and no current water in kitchen to wash fruits .
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Maureen (10/5): Perfect getaway for a couple - Great location- close to everything
- Rebekah (10/5): Exceptional - Good location and comfortable stay, had everything we needed for a few days away
- Allen (8/5): Dunsborough: a fine place to stay - Excellent location short drive from Dunsborough, which is a lovely town, we're pleased we stayed for three nights. The studio was good, spacious, the bed very comfortable with milk, and a few snacks supplied. It's a stylish place but could do with a few additions and changes: there is no sink for washing up, only the sink in the shower room, which can't be used due its modern design. A large bowl is provided with instructions to use the garden hose outside, though the host said washing up could be left outside for her to do if she had time. I didn't take her up on this, just rinsed using the hose, not totally satisfactory.
The shower room is lovely but there's no room for placing toiletries, tooth brushes around the sink, had to resort to the top of toilet and floor. Final one: there's only one bed side table it would be good to have one either side.
If these issues could be addressed it would be 5*.But we enjoyed our stay and though we didn't meet our hosts communication was fine.
- Jenny (9/5): Superb -
- Denise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dean (10/5): Fantastic! - This place was absolutely incredible! It was the best one- or two-night stay we’ve ever had. It’s just a short walk from town, and it has this tiny, private garden, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a sitting area. Everything is so stylish and modern. Wish we had stayed longer.
- Elise (9/5): Superb -
- Lawrence (9/5): An excellent stress-free stay that we thoroughly enjoyed, with some great walks across the cape. - The location was excellent close to the town center and the other locations that we visited across the Cape.
Esay to get to the variety of town restaurants in the evening. A small kitchen sink located in the kitchenette area would have made this a 5 star accommodation.
- Sheila (9/5): Handy location - Very comfortable cottage with convenient off-street parking and a lovely private outdoor area with BBQ.
Lisa, our host, provided lots of information about the property and places to visit during our stay.
Self-catering but limited food prep area and no sink in kitchen/pantry. We had already opted to dine out for our 2 night stay, so it wasn't a problem for us.
Would stay here again.
- Karin (8/5): Very good -
- Matthew (10/5): We loved this gorgeous place, perfect for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Dunsborough! - A beautifully presented and stylish place, perfectly suited to our needs for a comfortable night’s stay.
- O'flaherty (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous private accommodation which made a lovely and refreshing change. Very tasteful and felt like a home from home.
- Michael (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyable - Excellent location.
- Gerhard (9/5): A treat - Very nice, perfectly equipped with coffee machine, tea maker, etc. Easy to find, close to restaurants and shops. Very stylish and in perfect condition
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Jay (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): We will be back - Quiet great location nettflix Disney channel we had a great stay Nil
- Marie (8/5): Despite not being a B&B , overall I had a pleasant - if compromised stay. - Great sleep on a comfy bed.
A nice rain shower.
Excellent TV streaming selection.
A very helpful owner.
Blue wrens and a bobtail visited yard. This property came up as B&B when I selected it on Booking.com. It is not. I was inconvenienced by needing a food shop on arrival.
Self-catering is limited as there are minimal kitchen facilities. The walk-in larder has a fridge, kettle, Nespresso, microwave, cutlery and crockery - but no running water for food preparation.
- Rosemary (8/5): Very good -
- Shannon (9/5): Superb - The space is nicely decorated and very comfortable. Quite area.
- Suzanne (10/5): Beautifully presented, lovely get away, i was in town for work, so felt spoiled - It was much more than I expected, a real treat
- Rohan (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (9/5): Superb - The room was very nice and located in the burbs close to the town centre
- Chris (10/5): Excellent value and beautifully located and a lovely host. - Great location, lovely decor and all the facilities you need.
- Cath (8/5): Pleased that we found this accommodation as Dunsborough was a great base for us to explore from. - Loved the quirkiness of the accommodation, and the welcoming warmth of the decor. Loved the little private enclosed garden, with some native birdlife and flora to enjoy. Could've done without the loud shutting of doors in the early morning. Struggled with the coffee machine as the mugs provided didn't appear to fit but that could've been operator error?
- Piotr (9/5): Superb - Thorough information from owners. Rooms fully equipped. Style and homey vibe.
- Maddy (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and close to everything
- Carole (7/5): A comfortable place that can become excellent if more thought was put into guest's convenience. - There is no breakfast provided except for cereal bars and packet porridge and coffee machine.
The apartment size is comfortable but bathroom has no vanity top for anything to be placed. Shower quality is good.
I did not like the main door being glass because of security and the fact that owner did not highlight that the key is in the apartment in BOLD in email communication. So when I arrived I had remembered that email says call owner upon arrival and there was no answer on her phone number provided. I had 20 minutes of panic as it was getting dark and I had thought if I cannot reach the owner I will not be able to access the apartment. Mentioned above.
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable and cosy villa
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good -
- Andrea (9/5): Excellent stay, quiet, private, birds galore, close to town. - Clean, comfy bed, private
- Leone (9/5): Would have liked to stay longer. - Great place Nothing
- Hope (9/5): Instantly felt relaxed in this clean and comfortable space. Would recommend to our friends. Also pretty close to town ce - Very clean and comfortable. Felt relaxing and has everything you need. Nothing we enjoyed our stay.
- Bradley (8/5): Fantastic stay will be back again in the future - Such a stylish interior rustic modern and charming surroundings, beautiful high ceilings with the sound of birds singing in the morning.
Very large bedroom and very comfortable bed. An out door spa is a must, or soaking bath tub, no kitchen sink available to wash dishes but host offers to wash dishes for you.😁
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Caroline (8/5): Pleasant stay - Clean, well equipped, easy distance to get into town on our bikes. Little garden area with BBQ. Comfy bed. Had everything we needed. Attached to main house/other holiday let so could hear doors banging, talking etc. Nice location but not as quiet as we'd hoped. No kitchen sink but washing up bowl supplied.
- Bethany (10/5): Lovely comfortable, calm and relaxing stay. - We had the most lovely stay at EcoLuxe. It was comfortable, stylish and private. There is the cutest little yard with a Weber BBQ which we enjoyed with a drink. The little kitchenette had more than we needed and was great for the meals we decided to have in.
It was super clean and the bed is just so so comfortable! We will be back again for sure.
