- Dominic (2/5): Kleinwatervalplaas Easter Get away - Not much at all. Shower broken.
Front door handle broken on the outside.
Kitchen Facilities really bad.
Hot tub non existent
Braii grid had to ask several times before it was finally delivered
The whole attitude, I know about it but do nothing about it.
Asked for 2 king-size beds got 1 and 2 single beds.
The water was shocking.
Had to drive to Caledon to buy 15 litres of Water.
Finally decided to leave Sunday morning as we were definitely not satisfied with the whole experience and standards of the establishment.
- Annabel (10/5): Excellent, fun, relaxing. - We absolutely loved our stay! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. My son LOVED playing with the other kids and just experiencing real farm life! Leaving!

- G (8/5): The dam is so beautiful! - Tranquil, safe, interesting, pretty. Nothing really. Room is nothing special. Has everything you need though. Clean and attractive, but that is not why one goes there.
- Renalda (10/5): Great getaway - Great space lovely views Nothing
- Megan (7/5): Peace on a farm - Location, serene, animals roaming, beautiful trees.
Small details of the cottage one overlooks when booking self-catering units, such as having dishwasher liquid, cloths, sponges, handwash, broom, mop, minor details one doesn't think of packing and often find not having where I've previously stayed, so was pleasantly surprised to find it on a farm cottage. Could not make use of the outdoor hottub as the water system wasn't working, so could not fill the tub..
There were also a few cobwebs on the ceiling in the cottage.

- Dirk (8/5): prachtige plaats voor natuurliefhebbers - De locatie is fantastisch
mooie natuur
mooie wandelpaden
Als je niet op luxe uit bent is dit een fantastische plaats Het zou leuk zijn als de catering ook in de week zou mogelijk zijn
- Karen (10/5): The rooms were beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The farm was so tranquil.. -
- Elizabeth Yvonne (10/5): Perfect weekend away, wish we had time to stay longer - We loved the location, the atmosphere and the animals! Mike is helpful, friendly and made our stay even better than we expected. It's a perfect place to relax and just enjoy your surroundings. The animals (espesially Missy and Bently the dogs) made our stay perfect :)
- MATROOS (8/5): - We loved the bush cottage and the scenery hopefully next time we get to stay longer and enjoy everything the fynbos route and the waterfall. Drinkable water would be nice in the cottage and perhaps add a oven as some people like baking
- Heinrich Wichmann (8/5): - Beautiful natural surroundings and peaceful atmosphere The water from the bore hole is aways brown, nothing wrong with it. It just doesn't "feel" clean.
- Alison (7/5): - I loved the quietness. I loved the nice little walk to the waterfall. It was great to explore the nature. The place is pet friendly. And guests is warned upfront about free roaming farm animals. But also waking up with large animals at your front door is a bit wild. We felt a bit limited as we had to keep in our cabin for quite a time. Only when guests started arriving for the restaurant animals disappeared. Nothing against the animals they are lovely, just saying if you are saying you are pet friendly get a piece of fencing around the cabins so the guests don't have to feel uncomfortable with their pet because your pets is in the guests space. We also took about 2 showers that was hot and the shower leaked water right across the bathroom floor maybe keep a mop in the cabin for guests to just dry up the water afterwards.

- Evan (10/5): "Silence is so beautifully quiet" - This is the second visit to the farm, since my last visit which was only one month ago(21.03.25-23.03.25).
This time i brought my son & his family,as well.
That is how much i love visiting this farm. It's just the perfect place to escape from the hustle & bustle.
People have to come & visit,in order to understand why i'll visit again & again...its just such a BEAUTIFUL experience! My visit is too short...other than that...there's absolutely nothing not to like.
- Evan (10/5): Bye-bye stress..the perfect stay to rest. - From the time we arrived,we just loved our host's friendliness, the accomodation(Milk Shed) was superb,it was perfectly situated under this huge oak tree, which helped so much, because of the high humidity. We were trapped in this mountain serenity and it was exactly what we needed. The only thing i didn't like is that the long weekend was too short and i had to come back home...seriously😪
- Maria-teresa (8/5): Very good -
- Kylie (9/5): Superb -
- Zain (8/5): Very good - Great location, lots of animals, restaurant on site
- Garth (5/5): We would not recommend to others. - Farm stay - so quiet and peaceful Those who run the place need to understand the idea of “hospitality” which was lacking.
- Charlotte (8/5): Very good - Perfect for a night away, really peaceful with beautiful views. The road to the farm is a bit difficult with a regular car.
- Melodie (2/5): Very poor - Beautiful place if only it was managed well Upon arrival, the owner was under the influence of alcohol!
Didn't even show us to our accommodation.
The house was so dirty that there was still someone's toe nail cuttings on the floor.
The wifi didn't work as advertised.
It's advertised that you can swim...you can't.
When my children was playing on the open field ( farm )
They were getting the meanest stares from the owner
We even left a day earlier.
This could be the perfect get away..
But the owner needs to put his wine glass down and manage his business.
- Vanessa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dilette (8/5): Very good -
- Silvia (9/5): Superb -
- Mieke (7/5): Good - The evironment The room needs attention
- Rentia (6/5): Not worth R1100 a night - Friendly owner It’s a long Sand/ gravel road and a st, the restaurant wasn't open and if you book the place it shows theres restaurant so we only wanted to stay one night and planned on eat nf at the restaurant and when we got there the owner said the restaurant is only open on Weekends so we had get in the car again after 3,5hours drive and a 4 hour wait at home affairs and drive into 30 . The water pressure is none existant. Lots of spiders and we were woken up just after 7 by the owners boy.
- Yolanda (6/5): It is a lovely place and the owners really need to look at the small details that actually matters to guest. - I liked the farm and animals and the walk to the waterfall. What really disappointed me was the upkeep of our unit (the Milkshed). Stained hand towel, stained coffee mugs (it is rather inexpensive to replace);mould(severe) on the bathroom ceiling, mould on main bedroom ceiling, cracked basin, showerhead old and making lots of noise when using it. Spiderwebs in lounge area, no cleaning done there. Photos are available if owner wants to see.
- Tamzin (9/5): Superb - very quiet, friendly people, animal friendly environment
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - Every thing, the peaceful atmosphere was amazing. Michal was so helpful and a pleasure to talk to. We loved the animals ❤️ 😍 There was nothing to not like , everything was beautiful ❤️
- Nicola (8/5): Very good -
- Lara (10/5): A perfect gem 😍 - Everything was far beyond expectation. Everything was far beyond expectation.
- Stemmet (9/5): Superb -
- Elmarie (10/5): Relaxing & quiet time with family. - The peace & quiet, the animals, the nature, the trail to the waterfall, the house!! The hot water & electricity!! The wind was a bit wild. Next time in better weather.
- Marlize (7/5): Beautiful views, peacefulness & family fun - The dam was absolutely lovely! The waterfall is gorgeous and such a beautiful hike to get there.
The peacefulness and to experience farm life was absolutely amazing. The bush cabin where we stayed, has so much potential to be gorgeous, but it's really lacking finesse.
The linen and towels were tired looking and worn.
The cabin can definitely do with an upgrade.
- Cornelius (9/5): You have to book to experience the stunning & breathtaking beauty of this little gem. - Nature, tranquility. Away from the hustle
- Dieter (6/5): Milk Shed Cottage - The natural beauty is amazing, hearing and seeing the geese, alpaca's and roosters was a delight. We didn't get to spend much time at the accommodation due to a wedding we went to in the area, just wish we were informed of the +/-14 km farm road as we were travelling in a small vehicle.
It is definitely a gem of a place, hidden away from city life, make sure you have milk because you can't just quickly pop out to the shops. We received delicious cake upon arrival as well as the fireplace which was already burning, it warmed the cottage up nicely, which was a nice surprise.
The farm is very safe, tranquil and quiet. Only one mirror hanging in the bathroom and no nearby plug points for a hairdryer, although this would not have been an issue if we didn't have to get ready for a function. 4 sachets of instant coffee which were finished on the friday night already, so take your own coffee, milk and sugar if you're a coffee pot. The cottage has a strong smell from the fireplace which I really did not like, like stale smoke, an automatic air freshener or reed diffuser should help with that. We are not sure if something was wrong with the geyser but we only had a total of 2 very short warm showers over the course of the weekend, the rest of the time cold...
If you like a very firm bed, you will be comfortable.
- Ange (9/5): Superb - We stayed in the Tool Shed. It was nicer than I expected from the photos! It is quite spacious. They have a bar and the food from The Kitchen was great! We watched the rugby at the restaurant. The chickens could have given us a bit of a sleep-in morning 😝
- Sonia (7/5): Experience a bit of farm life with beautiful views and peacefulness. - A beautiful space if you need to get out of the city and recharge. The farm animals roam freely, there is a beautiful short walk to a waterfall through the proteas and fynbos, highly recommend doing this as the views are worth it. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. This is not meant to read as a negative comment but more as a friendly suggestion. The Milking Shed has a kolkol which is a great addition for Winter time. It is not mentioned anywhere that there is an additional day rate of R450 to use it. As a guest I would have preferred knowing this upfront and this info should be on the website.
- Timothy (8/5): Enjoyable - We like remote and this was remote. Nothing really
- Janine (9/5): Superb - Fireplace None
