Guest Reviews
- Kate (9/5): If you’re after the Japanese ‘experience’ this is a great option - This is a beautiful Japanese house, recently built and carefully considered. It has a comfortable living/sleeping space, a decent sized shower, a kitchen with all necessary utensils, and a washing machine which we gratefully made use of. It’s quiet, peaceful, and feels like you’re in an authentic Japanese guest home. Other places may be more conveniently located, but don’t come with this authenticity, so it depends what you want out of your stay in Kyoto. We couldn’t find anywhere to eat locally, all the restaurants and izakayas we tried didn’t cater for tourists. There was a gourmet burger restaurant if that’s what you like, and there are a couple of convenience stores selling ready meals.
