Guest Reviews
- Karen (10/5): - Very clean, quiet location
- Michelle (9/5): We had a wonderful stay at Heyboys, it’s perfectly situated for walks in every direction and within easy reach of shops, - Lovely bright, clean and spacious property.
- Maciej (8/5): Quiet and spacious - Fanstastic and spacious
- Shamim (10/5): Excellent and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - Lovely and clean - prime location within walking distance of Three Cliffs Bay Nothing perfect
- Aimee (10/5): - I absolutely loved the place from the decor to the silence and everything in-between There isn't anything that I didn't like
- Chris (9/5): -
- Wendy (9/5): Don't want to let people know how fantastic this property was - would rather it stayed a secret... - Gorgeous location, reached by driving over a little bridge and up a steep road so the property is set in the trees, super quiet, beautifully presented with everything you could need including toiletries, kitchenware etc. Rooms are huge, particularly the main bedroom and everything was spotlessly clean. Easy parking right outside - definitely need to drive past the turn off for the property and use the turnaround at the top of the hill as I can't see how anyone could safely access it on the way up! If you get to a point where the road is unmade and likely to damage your car (as mentioned in previous reviews), you've gone too far (but keep walking over the hill and you can get to the castle ruins in 10 minutes with fantastic views over Three cliffs bay)! Lovely walks from the doorstep with beaches just a little further afield, fantastic local pub, deli/ cafe and bakery. Didn't want to leave and will definitely return for longer next time as so much to explore nearby. Super helpful owner who helpfully reunited us with our bag of camping provisions and dog food which we'd accidentally left behind! The curtains in the two double rooms were thin linen type so bring an eye mask if you're bothered by morning light. The main bed mattress was quite firm but suited me fine. Couldn't find a garlic crusher but everything else was there!

- Karen (10/5): Whar a beautiful stay ❤️ - Heyboys is a stunning house in a perfect, quiet location. Ideal for walks and exploring the local area.
There is everything and more you would need for your stay. The house is very spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. We all said we would gladly live here!! The garden is secure if you bring your fur babies.
The local pub is a short walk away and is very popular. We had a Sunday roast 😋 and would definitely recommend 👌. Absolutely nothing.
- Katie (10/5): Perfect - Lovely, cosy home. We really enjoyed our stay. Hosts sent a message with very clear instructions and advice on how to get there and best way of accessing the property.
Nice and quiet, refurbished lovely!
We did a skydive so we’re only a 5 minute drive away, very handy! The one bed was creaky, but was still very comfortable!
- Beth (9/5): Very nice - Cleanliness and comfortable Access by car not the best particularly in the dark!
- Gregoire (9/5): Amazing little place. Would stay there again with no question! - Beautiful little house with all the comfort and facilities needed. The location is very nice with possibilities to go for a small walk to some castle ruins and explore the bay. Very nice pub at walking distance if you don't want to cook! Nothing really!.
If I had to be picky, the pillows were a bit soft for my liking, but that's a personal preference and some people would love them! Toilets are in the bathroom. When sharing a house, it's always a plus to have separate ones.

- Lorrie (8/5): - Christmas decorations very welcoming!
- Hassiba (10/5): We spent 6 nights at Heyboys. We enjoyed every moment we spent at Heyboys. The property is well equipped, warm, has esse - Our stay was so confortable at Heyboys. So warm during December weather. Feels home when your there. Will definitely recommend Heyboys Everything was amazing! Nothing to complain about
- Leisha (10/5): Family explore - Perfect location perfect space all the amenities you need. So nice and warm. Gorgeous view and spacious rooms. There could be 1 seperate loo when sharing with 4 people

- Lucy (8/5): Host is lovely, house well equipped and if you want a peaceful and remote Holiday cottage this is perfect. - The property is lovely, great layout and cosy, perfect for our mini getaway. Yes the driveway is pretty difficult but go up then round and come back down and it’s fine. There is wifi so not sure about previous comments. Maybe it’s a new addition. Everything you need in the bathroom and kitchen. Could do with a second sofa but we are horizontal chillers 😂 The master room mattress is solid, so if you like a firm bed that would be the bed for you, if not pick the other double. Could do with a TV upstairs but that’s personal preference, we love a movie in bed.
- Alyson (9/5): Lovely house in a great location for accessing the Gower. - Location is ideal for visiting the Gower, although it is on a steep lane with a tricky turn into the driveway (drive further up the lane to turn around and access driveway from a downhill position).
House is spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. Little extras; coffee, washing up products, toiletries...made life easier.
Walking distance to a nice pub, shop, Heritage Centre and cafe also, only a mile's walk along the river to Three Cliffs Bay.
Only half hour drive to Rhossili and the North Gower coast through pretty villages and lanes. Less driving time to other Gower beaches.
Lots of DVDs and games for family/friends entertainment.
Host was very responsive to queries and requests. An information pack would have been useful

- Alessio (8/5): -
- Jo (8/5): Spacious and comfortable - Lovely spacious house with everything you need. Quiet restful location. No wifi means there’s no tv. The driveway is a tricky navigation. You can access the property from the Pennard Rd side but there’s a short section of that road that could damage your car.
- Fiona (10/5): Great property, would book again. - Beautifully renovated property with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Very quiet location, with good access to walks and activities. Grant was very friendly and responsive to any questions and requests. We had a wonderful stay. There was only one bathroom which was sometimes a bit difficult logistically for 4 adults. But this did not detract from our great stay.
- Fussell (8/5): -
- Iryna (7/5): - Great and nice performance house but the heating system quite slow. So, the house was heated by the following day.🤪 Heating
- Louise (5/5): Uncomfortable property in good location for hiking - Located near three cliffs bay and coastal path which is why we booked
Dog friendly No WiFi or smart TV due to no WiFi
Polyester bedding and sheets
All seating armchairs and sofa hard and uncomfortable
Basically great location but sterile and uncomfortable
Nowhere to relax
- Clare (10/5): Perfect, beautiful, comfortable and immaculate - The property was perfect, newly refurbished with large bedrooms, comfortable beds and everything we needed for our stay - very modern but equally as beautiful. Kitchen was well equipped for our needs. Would certainly return again if in the area. The driveway was interesting to navigate, but we were advised about the use / access beforehand so it wasn’t a problem at all. We loved how private and quiet the property was and having the Gower Inn on our door step was a bonus. Couldn’t fault the location or property. Thank you Nothing it was perfect

- Robert (10/5): -
- Michael (9/5): - Wunderschöne, sehr gepflegte Unterkunft Die Lage des Hauses ist nicht optimal. Und in der Küche fehlt ein großer Topf, eine Kaffeemaschine oder ein Kaffeefilter.
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Ronak (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luke (10/5): -
- Paula (10/5): Exceptional - We loved Heyboys, such a spacious house and very peaceful surrounded by trees. A nice little space outside too, to sit and enjoy dinner or a drink. A great location with cafes and a shop a short walk away.
- Matt (10/5): A proper home from home in a delightful secluded location in one of Gower’s most sought after spots - A unique and characterful house, all newly refurbed and well furnished. Spotlessly clean too. The short walk up the hill and across to Pennard Castle is a must for the jaw dropping view over Three Cliffs Bay
- Nick (8/5): Very good - Great location.
Spotlessly clean
Very comfortable bed No WiFi which also meant no tv
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andy (10/5): Fabulous! - Everything... I don't say this lightly, but this accommodation is fabulous. Spotlessly clean, well equipped ( they have thought of everything!) Comfortable and in a brilliant location for exploring the gower. If I could give it 6 stars, I would, and I rarely give 4! Seriously, there was nothing to dislike!
- Jayne (10/5): Lovely cottage and well equipped - Lovely cottage - everything we needed
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Great pub, 5 mins walk. Pennard Golf Club 5 mins drive. Quiet, tucked away location. Perfect for a golf trip Royal Porthcawl and Pennard.
- Toni (10/5): Stunning home - Stunning house. Warm comfortable and clean. I couldn't fault it what so ever. If I didn't have to come home to work id have asked to stay another night Nothing
- Alyson (9/5): Great location for exploring, large bedrooms and ample reception rooms. A great find. - House was in a quiet location just off the main road. Easy walking distance to the local shop, pub and heritage centre. An easy and safe walk (1 mile) to the nearest beach. (3 Cliffs Bay). However, it is on a steep hill so would not suit those with mobility issues. Good access to the rest of the Gower, Mumbles and Swansea.
House was clean, spacious and very comfortable.
Communication with the host was easy and responsive.
- Melody (7/5): The house was lovely once the drive was negotiated and the Gower Inn was brilliant - The inaccessibility of the property was a real worry. The ‘unmade’ Road was almost impossible to negotiate, and potentially damaging for the car. A tea pot? Also we couldn’t find any information for visitors apart from a few pamphlets.
- Mike (9/5): Superb -
- Julien (10/5): Wonderful experience at Heyboys - We like everything about the property: charming, clean, perfectly located.
- Suzanne (7/5): Good -
- Paul (9/5): Very nice ,well equipped roomy accommodation. Great location for beaches and walks. - Very good location for beaches and wedding venue which wasn't far away. nothing
- Isabel (8/5): Lovely, clean and nice location. Great host. - Nice property, clean and reasonably comfortable. Lovely location.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Becky (10/5): Stunning location, spacious & immaculate - Fab location, excellent responsive communication. Spotlessly clean & new and well equipped.
- Watts (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (10/5): Fab night at heyboys. Well looked after by the host and couldn’t fault anything. Fab little pub in walking distance just - Excellent property - super modern and great location.
- Kateryna (7/5): Good -
- Craig (10/5): Great place to stay - Warm, comfortable and very clean. Nothing. Heyboys is a lovely place to stay.
- Sgs (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clifford (8/5): Perfect - Lovely location hidden away Difficult turn into driveway
- Andrei (9/5): Tranquility - Cozy cottage in a very beautiful location with nearby access to local walks and a quaint pub. The house was really warm and had pretty much any accessory that a regular house would have around. Tranquility at its best. Not a dislike, but we were unfortunate to spend the night exactly during Storm Bert, which meant we spent more time indoors. In that eventuality, come prepared with a good data package to hotspot the TV or bring some more board games. Oh, and something to make coffee.
- Rafael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (10/5): Stayed for a wedding locally for the time we spent In the house it was lovely and would stay again - Clean, nice size rooms well presented and comfy stay WiFi would Be nice however we did have mobile data, drive way is hard to navigate and got looked at by some neighbours when turning in their drive. Could do with so,e more bedroom furniture
- Lynda (10/5): A group of friends booked a sauna and swim at Oxwich Bay and stayed overnight afterwards. We had an excellent meal in th - The property was of a high standard and in a great location Only 1 bathroom and no separate toilet for a group of 5 ladies but we managed
- Rachel (10/5): Fantastic holiday home! - Hey boys is a newly refurbished beautiful holiday home, so comfy in every way. Such a lovely place to stay There was nothing not to like, other than possibly the steep incline to reach the property but the views and sheer beauty makes up for it!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Great verging on fabulous location
So quiet you could hear your heart beat
Very very clean and fresh No Wifi
- Janet (9/5): Superb - Superb accomodation, near to where we wanted to be. No mirrors in 2 bedrooms.
Could have done with a bit more bedroom furniture.
Only one teacloth
No hairdryer
- Roxy (10/5): Exceptional - What a beautiful house! Immaculate, equipped with everything that you need!
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
- Melissa (8/5): Very good -
- William (9/5): A lovely house. Nicely decorated in a central location on the Gower. - A lovely house with nice rooms. Central location in the Gower. Well decorated. Bed linen could have been of better quality.
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josephine (8/5): Would definitely come back to explore more of the area, - Excellent location, easy walk to beach and short drive to Oxwich bay. Grant was very quick to respond to messages.
The house is very clean and well equipped. The bedrooms are large with lovely views of the trees. As other people have mentioned the T.V is not set up which didn't matter to us for a couple of days stay. My small car easily managed the hill and manoeuvering into the driveway but my friend had more trouble in her bigger car.
- Nicolett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abigail (10/5): Wonderful! - Beautiful house, in peaceful location. Immaculately clean. Spacious rooms.
- Bridget (10/5): Lovely, location to walk to an amazing beach, pub, spacious and clean. - Great location, very nice and friendly owner. Clean spacious, just lovely. Up a hill, our car doesn’t like steep hills!
- Juliet (10/5): Lovely stay at heyboys, minor problems sorted very quickly by host. Lack of wifi was not a huge problem for such a short - Spacious clean rooms, comfortable beds. Exhilarating location 😃. Quiet and private. Vast choice of dvds to enjoy as lack of wifi denied TV viewing.
All photos true to property.
Locals very friendly and helpful.
The Gower Inn within a short walk. Lack of full length mirrors and dressing table options.
Missed clothes hanging capacity in 1 room.
Only one toilet which can be problematic.
Firmer pillows would be an improvement.
Means of venting the bathroom windows would also be helpful.
Route up to property was very steep and a surprise but fortunately all sufficiently mobile to walk down and up from the local pub.
Would advise bringing staples with you rather than relying on close local store.
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sally (8/5): Very good - Spacious. Comfortable, very clean. A mirror / dressing table would be useful in the single room No WIFI
steep access to property
- Gonegirl (10/5): Lovely house for brace drivers! - The driveway and road !!!!! Scary!
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, quiet and comfortable. No garden for the dog but lovely walks just a short distance away
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation is spacious and pristine.
Near to Three Cliffs Bay /Oxwich Bay.
Easy reach of Rhosilli/Port Eynon
Well equipped and luxurious accommodation. Access is challenging.
No Wifi
- Thaliton (10/5): Exceptional - excellent house
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Clare (9/5): Lovely property - Immaculate, had everything we needed If staying for longer more storage probably needed in bedrooms. Would not let that defect from how nice it was
- Steven (10/5): A fantastic getaway that made our Anniversary very special. - The house is beautiful inside and out. It is secluded enough to make it quiet and relacing place to stay while it is a short walk to a pub that serves good food and shops. There is no wi-fi in the property which but the mobile system is really good, it gave us a proper chance to disconnect and spend some time alone. The hosts provided all of the information needed to make finding the propery and gaining access as easy as possible and we are looking forward to returning very soon. There was nothing that we didn't like. This is the best destination that I have found on this site. Its location, layout, decor and facilities are great.
