Guest Reviews
- Charlotte (10/5): Warm, cozy, and practical! - Great location, sitting above the town and close to many trailheads! The house itself is warm and cozy and has everything you could want and need!
- Troy (10/5): Our stay at Maria's property was excellent! - The location was perfect! The property sits above town yet within close walking distance to restaurants and hiking trails. The host, Maria, was warm, friendly and went out of her way to make us feel at home. Our stay went well and we didn't encounter any issues.
- Elena (10/5): It was a beautiful house with a helpful host! - The location was fabulous, the host was so kind, helpful, and accommodating, and the house itself was a delight! Nothing. It was great all around.

- Sumin (10/5): Exceptional - Clean spacious room. Good showers. Maria was really caring and friendly. Really recommended! None
- Silvana (9/5): Quaint, well equipped and comfortable place - Very well equipped and nicely decorated with much creativity. The bed was king size and very comfortable. Maria Inés went above and beyond to guide us and give advice about trails and places to eat. A very caring person indeed. The trail head to Laguna Torre was only half a block away. Very convenient. You could also walk to the main business street from there (5-10 minute walk) There was a mild unidentified smell that only I could smell and not my husband
- Ku (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Lorenzo (10/5): Exceptional - Maria is a great host. she welcomed us with useful information about el Chalten and the hikes.
The place is very comfortable, extremely clean and has everything you need for a great hiking vacation. It is also not on the main street (Av. San Martin) and this makes it quiter and perfect to relax and sleep well after a long day in the mountains.
- Clemson (10/5): Great place to stay! - Beautiful property, well equipped with a lovely lounge/kitchen - it was a great place to come back to after a long day of hiking. Maria Ines was very helpful with lots of tips! Nothing
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice host. Very helpful. It felt like being at home. Very well equipped. Even a vie of Mount Fitzroy. Having to leave 😕
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, Torre Laguna walk, and access to the NP is 2 mins, main restaurants and bars 10 mins maximum. Great little house, fantastic host.
Would highly recommend. Nothing, all great.
- Mauricio (10/5): Kuka is feeling Home - Kuka is Gorgeous, Cozy, Warm, the attention to every single detail of the property is unbelievable.
Maria Ines is an Amazing Host, she was all the time caring about our stay, even a few days previous to our arrival.
I would come to Kuka every single time. It is a shame we didn't stay longer, we loved it.
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional - This is the best place we have stayed in Argentina so far. Was lovely and Maria so helpful. 10/10 from me. Brilliant time there.
- Lissette (10/5): Best place in Zelle - It felt like home! I loved every second of our stay here! N/a
- Olga (10/5): We would love to stay there again - The place was amazing! The host is the nicest person, who gave us tips and recommendations about where to go and what to do in El Chalten (including great bars, restaurants and treks). The house is very clean and comfortable. It was warm and cosy. Kitchen is perfectly well equipped, towels are soft and the bed is amazingly comfortable. We would love to come back and stay again. Wifi is also working well and the location couldn't be better -
- Yuan (3/5): Good property. Beware of greedy and dishonest host. Bring cash even if it says credit card accepted. - The property is well situated within walking distance of several trail heads as well as the town center. False advertisement. The listing confirmation stated that my credit card will be charged upon arrival. We were in contact well in advance of the trip, and at no point did she mention that the payment will need to be made in any other way.
After we arrived, the host suddenly stated that she cannot accept credit card payments, contrary to the listing, didn't explain why, and stated we must pay in cash. Given this was a multi night stay, we did not carry the necessary amount to do so. The ATMs in town were not able to dispense the requisite amount, so we mutually agreed on an amount to be paid, and we sent an international money transfer, accepting that we are paying more in fees to cover the cost of the rental.
The host then after speaking to her bank wanted a higher amount due to their own exchange rates, and also wanted us to pay an extra 15% on top to cover her transaction fees. We've already paid 30% more than what was promised for an issue that she had created, and hoped she could meet us half way, but she left us disappointed.
We made a complaint to this website's customer service about the situation, and the host's reply was full of falsehoods, proven wrong with our long string of correspondence over WhatsApp.
- Lior (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bryan (10/5): Cozy, comfortable cabana - A lovely cabana, well appointed, in a great location. Marie was so helpful and embodied all that we love about Argentinians - warm, friendly, helpful and kind. The fresh bread and jam was a nice treat! it was great!
- Katie (10/5): i highly recommend this property! - we loved everything about this property!! this little house was perfect for our needs. can walk to anything in town, a block from one of the two trailheads. no door on bathroom…which is attached to master bedroom. not a big deal but a bit awkward with an upset tummy ;)
- Jeannine (10/5): A very special place to stay - My husband and I stayed for 4 nights but Kuka is a place we would have loved to stay for a month. The living area/kitchen is spacious and had everything we needed to cook dinners. There is even a drip coffee maker and a citrus juicer. There are board games for rainy days. I loved the fantastic shower head and the big fluffy towels. The bed was also large and comfortable. Although it is about a half mile walk to the supermarket, there is a bbq shack directly across the street from Kuka that is very good. Maria was a perfect hostess. She gave us a tour of the house, recommended things to do, provided a trail map, and updated me on the weather forecast every day. The breakfast bread/butter/jam she left us was a delight. I hope to return soon. The only thing I missed was a bathroom door or curtain for privacy.
