You can cook if needed. Andrea is a wonderful host. Even though she was on other islands, she was constantly in touch and helped us with everything we needed. She even called to check whether the grocery store was open so that we could make it there in time to buy food. In general, all the people on this island seem like one big family. It feels like everyone knows each other and is ready to help with any questions. The house was very clean. Waking up with a view of the ocean and falling asleep to the sound of the waterfall is something incredible. The waterfall is not loud at all — you can hear it in the distance and it creates a very pleasant background sound. If you have sensitive sleep and are worried about noise, you don’t need to worry — you will sleep very well. One of the most beautiful things was the starry sky. I think you will hardly see so many stars anywhere else. With the naked eye, the entire sky is filled with bright, shining stars. Not far away there are a couple of restaurants with delicious food and a small grocery store where we found everything we needed. They even had some local homemade products, which was especially nice for us. The waterfalls definitely have a special place in our hearts. They are located right nearby, and the view from the rooms of the house is simply incredible. I highly recommend this place. You will definitely be as satisfied as we were. We left this place with only bright and wonderful memories and would love to return again. The only thing to be prepared for, in my opinion, is the humidity. Since the house is located right by the ocean, you need to be especially careful after taking a shower because the hot water creates a lot of steam on the tiled floor, and it becomes very slippery. Personally, I would probably add some floor mats there because it’s easy to slip and hurt yourself. Another option would be to place a dehumidifier in the bathroom, since drying towels in such humidity is quite difficult. But this is a very minor downside that exists purely because of the location right by the ocean.

• Callum (1/5): Awful customer service and host - This is a complete scam! The owner doesn’t make it clear in the booking there is ONE way on and off the island and if this is cancelled (which it very often is) they will ignore you, dismiss you and refuse any refund. They claim to allow reschedule but they don’t facilitate this and ignore and act in a dismissive and rude manner simply replying “good night”. Don’t bother booking and use a more human service elsewhere on Flores and not some money grabbing joke. Everything.
