Guest Reviews
- Kianne (10/5): - It is a lovely littler cottage, carefully styled to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed. It is equipped with everything you need and the fact that we could bring our dog made it even better!
- Rossouw (10/5): This was an incredibly clean and beautiful place. It’s very serene and has a beautiful feeling inside. - It’s immaculately clean and had everything we needed for self catering. Very quiet and peaceful.

- Gideon (10/5): - Save, clean apartment. Spacious, nice braai area. There were not enough electrical plugs in the bedroom, we had to charge our phones in the kitche .
- Klaas (7/5): - Center of town
- Marais (8/5): -
- Lily (8/5): - The apartment was clean and well kept. There was everything in the kitchen from an airfryer to a coffee machine. Hairdryer and even a steamer for your clothes in the bedroom. Beautiful decor 1. The shower is an accident waiting to happen. There is a painted wooden frame on the shower floor. I thought it was a fault and should be outside the shower. I tried to remove it as it is slippery since it is painted. The shower floor was incorrectly built. It slopes to the middle to deep and the wooden screen is there to level it out. The planks move underneath your weight. The feeling actually makes you uncomfortable and unbalanced. I was scared I might fall through the glass shower door. The shower leaks as well so the floor is wet.
2. I prefer a flat sheet on the bed as well with the duvet / blankets as I get warm easily and can remove my side of the duvet and still cover myself with the sheet.
3. If they can put up lace curtain in the bedroom it would help for privacy. If you open the curtains the windows are into the next door garden. No privacy.
- Herman (10/5): - Love the little braai stoep. Enjoyed a nice braai and supper outside the covered area. I love staying at Windekind!

- Alison (9/5): Overall we enjoyed our stay very much🤗 - It was small and compact but great for only 2 people Things i felt that lacked was not having a rail or something in the bathroom to hang swimming clothing and under garments
No table high enough inside for someone to sit down who needs to use laptop for the odd work enquiry even if it was a fold up one especially if its cool or windy outside making it difficult to use the big table.
A couch rather than 2 chairs would have been more relaxing and more comfortable
- Marls (8/5): Quiet, Quaint Cottage - The flat is nice. We really liked the outside braai area, and the location is great - just a short drive from the Harbour. It also had a nice kitchenette with everything you need! The shower floor seemed a bit unstable (made of wood and bends a lot), and there was no fan. The TV had no streaming services logged in, so the only thing to watch was YouTube. Overall, a lovely place to stay for a couple.
- Hannerie (10/5): Perfect short term stay for 2 people - Neat and well equipped Nothing
- Ella (10/5): -
- Herman (10/5): - Perfect Stay. Everything you need for a short stay and you can even enjoy a braaitjie on the covered patio area. I was single person and I loved it. Short walk to the beach and you can walk to Pick n Pay and drop in at a restaurant for fish and chips.
- Zelda Ruthven (9/5): Awesome stay. - Comfortable bed ,hot shower and spacious room.
Quiet spot not to far from the beach and shops. Parking on the street....like more security.
- heradien (10/5): -
- Jacques (3/5): - The view, the bed, the rustic vibe to the place. The wrong couch was in the lounge, in the picture it had a 2 seater and we came there it was 2x 1 seaters.
The shower is absolutely horrible, we fell in the shower almost hurting us bad.
- Nicole (10/5): 10/10 Fantastic stay! We loved it ❤️😀 - Loved everything about it! My boyfriend and I were searching everywhere for a pet friendly home and we were so lucky to have found this one! It exceeded our expectations. My dog had more than enough space to roam and she's a medium sized husky so space is important to for her to have. Also, the photos don't show the property having a stove along with pots and pans so that was a very nice surprise when coming through the kitchen, the bonus was the airfryer! Very versatile home for sure. I'd recommend this to anyone going on holiday who want a very quiet environment and also we found that the malls nearby were very cost effective. After driving for 5 hours it was definitely worth the trip! Will absolutely book it again! Thanks for having us and being so accommodating. If I could just mention making one tiny adjustment it wasn't a big deal though, the shower I think could be made bit hotter. The waters warm but not hot and maybe an extractor fan in the bathroom could benefit you in the long run as the roof gets wet in the bedroom next door even when leaving the window open while showering
- Hannelie (9/5): - Good size, perfect for a single person or couple for a week or two. Comfortable bed, everything that you need for self-catering. Friendly host and a short drive to the beach and shops.
- August Y Zerwick (7/5): Great self catering facility and we enjoyed our stay. - The facility was great for our one night stay and conveniently located. Well equipped for self catering. We had a good nights rest and enjoyed our stay. Vehicle was parked in the street
- Francesca (7/5): Good - The apartment had everything needed to make our stay comfortable it was very spacious. The only thing I would say is that the apartment could definitely do with a heater as it was freezing cold and please check the roof in the bedroom out it looks like it's about to start leaking water through the ceiling. And I have to agree with the person that put a comment below about the shower it is very dangerous and I slipped twice because of the way it slopes inward...
- Francesca (8/5): Very good - The host was very accommodating and was a a comfortable stay The shower for me is a bug problem as I slipped twice and hurt myself do to the way it is designed.
- Nel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathryn (8/5): Very good -
- Ty (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good - outside braai was good The shower floor was uncomfortable. The 2 lounge chairs were uncomfortable, a couch would be a better option if you have to spend an extended period indoors due to weather.
- Andre (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (6/5): Pleasant - Just check ceiling in bed room
- Rick (10/5): Lovely getaway place to stay at - The location is perfect with a great outside braai and all equipment is provided by the owner. My wife loved the fact that they had a coffee pod machine. Nothing as all was perfect.

- Ian (9/5): Lovely and comfortable stay - Clean, comfortable accommodation in a great location. Care has been taken to select furnishings and create a restful atmosphere I would love a teapot and milk jug, for use when making my tea
- Nicole (10/5): Cosy, clean, well-stocked, flatlet located in a safe area close to all the amenities. - Cosy, clean flatlet located in a safe area close to all the amenities.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything one would need plus a few extra things that are normally not supplied in a rented property (e.g. champagne glasses) which was a really nice surprise.
The outside patio/braai area was perfect for summer nights, sheltered from the wind but still open to the beautiful stars and moon. There was nothing that we didn't like!
- Louise (10/5): Exceptional -
- Norman (8/5): Windekind January 2025 - Excellent location: walking distance to shops and the beach.
Modern decor.
Loved the outdoor braai area with a table and benches. This was nicely sheltered from the wind and a lovely extension of the living area. The shower has a very steep slope,i.e. the floor is not level. One has to be careful where to place your feet to avoid slipping.
- Zinské (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aimee (7/5): Good -
- Aninn (10/5): Beautiful day in Struisbaai - Very neat and clean and everything you would need for a stay away

- Nolitha (10/5): We absolutely enjoyed our stay and our host made the check-in process very smooth, easy and enjoyable! We’ll hopefully b - The lounge area was quite comfortable, the kitchen was also well equipped with all we needed.
We made use of the braai area which was really nice.
The bathroom was spacious and the bedroom was absolutely comfortable.
We also loved how close it was to Agulhas and shops. nothing
- Subenane (9/5): Superb -
- Barend (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ronel (6/5): We love Struisbaai, but will seek other accommodation in the future - The bed was really not comfortable, which is very frustrating if you want to rest for a few days. Had to sleep on cushions on floor. Host knew about problem, but didn't bother to sort it out
- Anrietta (9/5): Superb -
