• Laura (10/5): - We appreciated the information on walks around Fowey that was available. We were not given the correct username to access Wi-Fi and we had to go to a pub to contact the host. Even then, she did not know the username. We had to figure it out.

• Dan (7/5): I’d recommend The Oystercatcher. Needs a couple of tweaks, but I’d happily go back. - Great location, lovely decoration, warm and comfortable. The WiFi didn’t work for us. Neither of our phones could see the WiFi, and the owner twice told us to use the WiFi that our phones couldn’t see. So not helpful. But that’s pretty minor stuff. The toilet seat needed fixing - it was lose and wobbled about.

Far enough away from centre of town to enjoy relative peace, yet also convenient to walk everywhere Loo seat. Flimsy. Same issue when we stayed in Sandpiper. Could do with a more solid fixture

• Kirstie (8/5): Perfect for a short stay, especially in winter. - Cosy, with amazing light and views. Modern appliances, easy access with key safe. More hooks for hanging clothes please, and the plates are a very awkward shape for the half size dishwasher.

• Wendy (9/5): A great property where much thought has been put in to making guests feel comfortable - Loved the location and the high quality of everything in the property. Someone with a great sense of comfort and design had fitted it out. The views and Fowey generally were lovely. We needed to speak to Emily about the heating and she quickly sorted us out. Thank you. Very cosy from then on. A great place to sit and read but perhaps the seating area lighting could be a bit brighter for that purpose on these darker days

• NottsRogero (8/5): Well equipped central apartment with views. - Right in the centre of Fowey. Walk to everything. Close to car parks. Spacious and fabulous views over the estuary. Excellent decor. No outdoor space or balcony but this was obvious from the description. Minor issue for short stays. As with most places in the uk no Aircon.

Needed an umbrella Disposable shower cap would have been handy Also maybe milk in the fridge or just a few added touches. Finding a few goodies makes it feel more special

We were offered a late check out to make up for the property not being ready when we arrived. Jo then arrived and did an excellent job of cleaning the property and we appreciated the bottle of Prosecco given to us. On arrival the property wasn’t ready, bed not changed or rooms cleaned after previous guests.
• Tracy (10/5): We can’t wait to return! - Perfect location overlooking the water. Exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. Everything you would need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Very reasonable public parking in the Old Station Yard car park, which is just a few minutes walk. Shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, bakeries etc just a few minutes walk. Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

• Bethan (10/5): Exceptional - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oystercatcher. The location is perfect - a short walk away from the shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants one way and a short walk to the car park the other way. The view is lovely and even though we stayed during storm Bert we still spent our mornings gazing out of the window in the warm! The apartment looks as if it's been recently refurbished - it's been done to a really high standard and was exceptionally clean - we didn't want to leave!

• Catherine (10/5): A very comfortable stay in a beautiful apartment with amazing river views. - A lovely apartment with everything we needed for our stay. The views were amazing from the many windows. We enjoyed sitting and watching life on the river. There were some interesting local history booklets provided that I enjoyed looking through. The bed was very comfortable and the shower powerful. It was a short walk to the centre of fowey for a pastry or a browse. Some lovely walks too. We could park the car nearby without negotiating the narrow fowey streets. There was nothing I disliked

• Julie (10/5): A charming cottage/apartment in the heart of Fowey, which was perfect for our short holiday. The views over the est - Perfect location, exceptional views, well designed and very comfortable, everything catered for. Parking very convenient and inexpensive at nearby Caffe Mill. No comment, I could even see that the owners had listened to feedback by adding a microwave, which was super useful.

• Clare (9/5): The oystercatcher caught our heart!! - The property is in a great location, close to the main car parks and only a short walk to the town centre. The views from the apartment are stunning, you can literally spend hours just looking outside the window watching the world go by! The TV was hardly ever on! The attention to detail is exquisite and the property beautifully designed. We had read previous reviews about the noise levels from the property below and yes at times we could hear the other guests. We were also mindful ourselves not to stomp around, but it didn't detract from our stay.

I would have preferred a microwave rather than a dishwasher (I picked up a couple of frozen items when we arrived in Fowey which I wouldn't have done had I known) and also a wardrobe in the bedroom. However this wouldn't put us off staying again.

• White (9/5): A truly magical few days in lovely Fowey. - It's a superb apartment with full harbour and river views. All fittings are of very high standard and cleanliness and the shops, restaurants etc are in close walking distance. Parking is a bit of a lottery and you have to be prepared to trundle your luggage along the narrow street.
• Christine (9/5): Just beautiful! - A beautifully decorated property. The property was the perfect size for two people. It was an easy walk into the centre of town. The bathroom was superb with a shower that was a joy to use. Our only wish was that there was a microwave oven in the kitchen. As we had been travelling for several weeks we were looking forward to some ‘home’ cooking. A microwave would have made this easier.

• Christian (10/5): Exceptional - We really loved the apartment. It is furnished really well; the kitchen is very well equipped; the shower is powerful and there is plenty or hot water. The bed is also very comfy. The property is located a very short walk from the centre of Fowey and has beautiful views of the estuary from all windows. We had such a lovely stay; the place really is fantastic and we cannot recommend more highly We really can't think of anything we would fault here.

• Jane (10/5): A very special cottage in a beautiful location. - We loved Fowey. This was our first visit. This cottage was adorable. Lovely views looking out over the harbor, we didn't want to leave. It is furnished and decorated perfectly, we both felt so relaxed. A 10 for cleanliness. Has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. So many personal touches. I honestly cannot find a fault with this beautiful cottage.

• Andrew (10/5): Such a lovely place in a great location. - Wow. What an amazing place. I could live here :-) The place was lovely, nice and clean with everything you needed. Great view from the property, easy to find and a perfect location for a stroll into Fowey. Parking in Caffa Mill car park was easy and free after 4.00pm until 9.00am and then quite cheap for a few extra hours. (In November) and just a short walk up to the property. Lots of good food places and some nice bakeries and a good coffee shop in the centre.

• Susan (10/5): If you are looking for a romantic, calm and beautiful setting for your visit to Fowey I think Oystercatcher would be har - oystercatcher had the most amazing view from every room (except bathroom) looking across the Fowey River. It was a pleasure to relax in the tasteful and comfy surrounds watching life on the river sail by. It was situated near the long term car park & an easy walk to ferries, town centre etc…. We loved everything about the apartment. We found the shower created a very wet floor no matter what we did. Also, the toilet seat moves on its hinges.

This little home, more than adequate for a couple, is the quintessential charming Cornish property, beautifully decorated and cosy and oh my, those views from each room. I was very sad to leave this little slice of heaven. Leaving
