Hosts met us on arrival and were so helpful. The accomodation was immaculately clean, and had everything we wanted. Private parking and great wifi connection. And thank you for the lovely welcome pack of Orkney cheese, oatcakes and butter, plus a whole bunch of other goodies. We loved it. Nothing
• Alan (10/5): Fantastic getaway - Great location for all the key locations on the main island. Lovely hosts and everything you could want in a holiday let. Shower water pressure pretty low but very minor issue.
• Hilary (10/5): A brilliant stay! - There were ferry delays on our journey to Orkney and our hosts were very helpful and supportive in sorting things out and making alternative travel arrangements. They also stayed up very late to welcome us to the cottage.

• Lee (10/5): Wonderful holiday house. - Great location with beautiful views. Very homely feel to cottage, warm and comfortable. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Beautiful linen. Excellent hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Excellent local knowledge which helped us plan our week. Location of the house made it easy to explore the mainland. Unfortunately we couldn’t book ferries to explore other islands, but there was more than enough to do on the mainland. Very difficult to find anything we didn’t like about Binnaquoy. A little bit difficult to find, perhaps! A sign at the end of the road up to the cottage would be helpful, but otherwise we thought the accommodation was excellent.

• Elizabeth (10/5): Perfect base for exploring Orkney - This is a perfect base for exploring Orkney. Close to the main site, but also tucked away and quiet and peaceful, with lovely views. The property is tastefully decorated, warm and cosy with everything you need for a short or long stay. We really enjoyed just relaxing here for a day when storm Amy hit. The owners are just lovely. Warm and welcoming and were there for any questions we had. We would very much like to come back to Orkney and would definitely stay here again. Nothing

The bathtub and the dryer were very much appreciated. The facilities were spotless and the location was exactly what we expected (what a view!). • Katrin (10/5): - The house is well eqquiped, very clean and decorated with so much love. There are so many beautiful details and the house is so cosy. The beds are very comfortable. Frances welcomed us and explained everything we need to know about the house. She is such a lovely and kind person! We enjoyed our stay so much and definitely recommend Binnaquoy. It was the best stay we had in Scotland.

• Gillian (9/5): Orkney is a wonderful place, steeped in history, easy to get around being a relatively small island, most journeys took - Comfortable, clean & very well equipped. Owners were really helpful, suggested some places to visit we didn’t know about. Great view from the front of the property. Probably should have bought groceries in Kirkwall before arriving at property but it is only 15/20 minute drive. Local shop 5 minute drive quite well supplied for basics. This wasn’t really a problem with property more being organised beforehand.

• Ham (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely hosts, very friendly and helpful with local attractions, the even had road maps for hirers to borrow. The cottage was beautifully presented with quality furnishings, fully equipped kitchen, great WiFi and a TV in each room. The washer, dryer and dishwasher were welcomed as well as the tasty locally produced treats left for us to enjoy. Nothing, everything was perfect

• Shelley (10/5): A home away from home in a perfect spot to explore orkney from - I can't rate this place highly enough. It has everything you need to feel right at home. The king room can be made into twins if you ask. There's a tv in nearly every room with Netflix if you have an account. There's games and books. The kitchen is better stocked than my own. The views are stunning, the beds comfortable and it's the perfect location to explore orkney from. Very central. The hosts are lovely and even allowed us to check in a little early. There was tea/coffee facilities and milk in the fridge along with some orkney snacks. It is also so quiet you only hear the sheep behind the cottage. Not so much issues as things to be aware of/feedback. The garden area isn't completely fenced off so dogs need to be kept on lead. I wasn't clear on what bin was what or how the recycling worked and so some guidance on this would be helpful but again, not really an issue.

• Laura (10/5): The best stay we could’ve asked for! - This unassuming little cottage up a hill, is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed. It was cosy comfortable, larger on the inside than the outside. Our welcoming hosts were helpful and very kindly gave us some dinner recommendations. Which were excellent. We’re looking forward to coming back to stay again in the future!
