Guest Reviews
- Brian (8/5): A fantastic base in Truro town centre. - It's a great base, as everything is so close. We walked everywhere and we are not gym bunnies! We had our own private parking space which was brilliant, as it was right outside the property. There's a fab gastro pub right there on the same road, two minute walk up the hill. Sadly being a basement flat you hear every footstep above you in the lounge and kitchen area. However we didn't experience this in the bedroom, so sleep was not affected. We also appreciate the host has no control over this....
- Paula (6/5): Disappointing Stay - Central location. Lower ground apartment that suffered throughout from damp. The bathroom had inadequate heating was very cold for winter. The apartment has an uncared for feel about it
- Michele (2/5): Good location looks good but wouldn’t advise anyone to stay - It was a good location to where we needed to get to over the 3 days From opening the door there was an over whelming smell of damp. 2 humidifiers were working constantly I presume until they’re full which one did stop working. I did have a family member who has asthma so it would’ve been good to have known this basement flat was riddled with damp and a terrible odour. All the decoration and strange wired electrical radiators have been completely bodged just to earn money. The property did look good in photos. It was modern and reasonably clean although lots of cutlery and utensils were not clean. I would not stay there again ever.

- Carol (10/5): Lovely apartment - Very spacious and a five minute walk to the town it was ideal
- David (8/5): Excellent location for Truro city centre. - Great location, parking space, comfortable bedrooms, kitchen, and bedrooms, very clean. Damp smell as you enter, bad phone signal on o2, internet a bit slow, noisy kid upstairs running around all day.

- Debbie (8/5): - Fabulous location with bonus of parking. The ability to drop the car off early, into the designated parking space, was welcomed. Bin bags on the railings above the entryway was a little off putting, re. Kerb appeal.
- Jana (8/5): -
- mat medway gash (10/5): - The most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and very clean and tidy flat. The bed
- Sally (9/5): - Really clean, great facilities. Liked that welcome cuppa provided and even dishwasher tablets. Really provided a relaxing holiday. Smelt a little if damp, but I think they had a leak recently and had tried to sort out the issue before our arrival. Wouldn't put us off going back as it was perfect for our needs.
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful flat loved our stay ..
- Daniel (8/5): Very good - Very spacious and right near the city centre and had parking right outside for when people dropped me off n picked me up WiFi didn't work half the time and signal for phone was poor because it was under a stone building.
Had big spiders in a couple of rooms that I hoovered up because I don't like them
- Sue (8/5): Very good -
- Lindsay (9/5): Superb - Very easy to find and gain access to owner very helpful even providing me with a number for a taxi firm. Flat was neat and tidy. Wasn't sure how to get the free to air channels on the TV but found Iplayer so used that.
- Bianca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): Excellent value fully recommend - Property light airy very well kitted out for all you would need in the kitchen Much larger on the inside than expected Host arrived to pick up some washing was really cheerful and helpful nothing was too much Nothing
- Janet (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (1/5): GHASTLY. I left a night early - Dirty, see my pictures of bathroom plug - water wasn't draining quickly so I pulled out the stopper....
Freezing cold in February and insufficient heating. No heat at all in sitting room.
The heaters can be switched on for either 4 hours or 2 hours maximum. You have to reactivate them after that.
SO DAMP ESPECIALLY IN BEDROOM & KITCHEN. My young grandson couldn't use the 2nd bedroom. We only used the bedroom, more or less. I asked for, and was provided with a very small 3-bar plug in electric heater for the sitting room. A noisy dehumidifier was running in the bedroom corridorwhen I arrived & I had it on (and emptied it) for 4 days. The 4th picture below shows the dehumidifier water level. I let the very polite person standing in for the landlord know that the damp & cold meant I'd like a refund but I was referred back to booking.com by him. If I could have found a central hotel room I'd have left but none were available. The landlord offered to call in to discuss matters but I was in Truro to see bereaved family so we just used the bathroom & bedroom. I used the kitchen only once.
- Andrew (7/5): Cold - Great location for the center of Truro We couldn't get warm. With it being a rainy weekend, the flat never got warm. The portable heaters just weren't capable of warming the basement flat.
- Alif (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (8/5): Very good - Comfortable, clean, modern lower-ground floor flat. Excellent communication and good facilities. Good sized living room and TV. Well equipped kitchen. Very convenient parking spot directly outside the property.
- Jennifer (8/5): Clean & spacious stay in a good location. - The flat is as described & as shown in the photos, it was spacious, the kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, living room is spacious with a good TV & sofa seating for 4. It’s in a very good location for central Truro & has parking for a car which is very useful. It suited us well for visiting family. Perhaps inevitably as a result of it being a mainly basement flat there is a bit of a smell of damp. Some floor rugs & other furnishings could help it feel cosier as it feels a bit functional.
- Jordan (9/5): Superb -
- Sharon (9/5): Superb -
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Antony (9/5): Lovely basement apartment great location -
- Graham (8/5): Very good - Very spacious. A good place for 4 people. The smell upon arrival (paint pots I think) was a bit off-putting initially, but soon cleared.
- Christina (8/5): Overall very comfortable property. - This property overall had everything we needed and was comfortable. Great parking right outside the flat. The owner had thought of everything such as providing lots of amenities including toilet rolls, tea/coffee, shampoo/conditioner. We were happy to see that a clothes airer was provided (other places we have stayed on this trip did not provide this even though they had a washing machine). The flat felt clean and comfortable. The couch and beds were also very comfy which was nice as we have been travelling around a lot. The only negative things we have to say is the property has a very strong smell of damp/mold and there is an issue with ants coming in from the front door into the lounge and kitchen (onto the dining table whilst we were eating). Ant bait would be very helpful for future guests. Other than that we were really happy with the property.
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Max (9/5): An excellent flat in a great location, perfect for a weekend stay. - Excellent communication from the host. Great location close to the city centre. Good parking. Nice touches like tea and coffee and toiletries.
- Amir (7/5): Good -
- Cherryl (9/5): Clean & Comfortable - Good location close to city centre.
Clean and comfortable.
- Bolton (8/5): Very good - Location
Kitchen facilities Damp smell, small step in hallway (travelling with an elderly person), noise from flat above.
- Bryan (8/5): An very adequate flat for a short stay and the location was very close to the centre of Truro. - The floor of the shower cubicle was slippery.
- Bradley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbara (2/5): Cold flat. - The flat was a good size. Seating and beds were comfortable. It was well equipped. The flat was cold the heating was insufficient for the size of flat. The shower kept going off so unable to use.
- O'neill (10/5): Excellent accommodation - Excellent location. Nothing bad to say about it.
- Joan (4/5): Disappointing -
- Mary (8/5): Great location. Easy access. - Location. Clean.
- Zoe (9/5): Superb - Very clean and fantastic location. It was very quiet and a spacious apartment. Comfy beds.
- Zoë (9/5): The location was ideal for what we needed and the property was comfortable - The host was very helpful. Private parking, Good location, clean bedding and towels and a well equiped kitchen The entrance isn’t very welcoming and the end bedroom had a musty smell
- Layla (6/5): A basement flat with comfortable fittings but unfortunately dark and musty - The beds were comfortable and the linen and towels were lovely and clean. The kitchen had everything you'd need and there was lots of space in the flat. Having a dishwasher was great. The flat is in the basement and so is dark and musty which made it unpleasant to spend time in. Having to have a dehumidifier on and ventilation system was off-putting and there's a smell of damp. Some parts feel a little unfinished eg the curtain filial kept falling off when we opened the curtains.
- Victoria (8/5): Very good - Lovely location in the centre of Truro.
- Simon (10/5): Perfect ticked all boxes. - Location was fantastic with in site parking Nothing to report
- Peter (8/5): Ideal for visiting Truro - convenient walking distance from everywhere in central Truro - Large kitchen/breakfast room and comfortable lounge
Large fluffy towels Nowhere to hang coats when coming in if it's raining. Some of the modernisation work is a little unfinished.
