Wonderful to buy fresh fish and fruit from the market and nearby shops. Everything within walking distance. top tip: visit the cash and carry 3 doors along for cheap beer and water! would have liked a sun lounger

• Sara (9/5): The apartment worked really well as a base for exploring Syracuse and beyond. - Great location for exploring Syracuse and Ortigia on foot with great views from the terrace. Apartment was clean and comfortable and had all we needed for our stay. The street is a little run down with a good walk to the nearest supermarket. Would recommend a small car for the narrow streets, and finding a parking spot nearby was a bit tricky. Need to bear in mind that the apartment is on the third floor with no lift.
• Andrea (9/5): Surprised at run down area but 10 min walk took you to Ortigia. Comfortable apartment and terrace. - The private terrace. The apartment and facilities were high standard. Welcome treat. Let ourselves in via the lock box. Didn’t see host during 4 day stay so left city tax euros in apartment and messaged host. Oven and microwave hadn’t been cleaned.
• Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Location was quiet with a great view out to sea. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed. 5 minutes walk to centre and station. A terrace which was a bonus when we wanted a quiet day in.
