• Hendriks (9/5): Bun is geweldig, hierdoor had geen andere accommodatie gewild - Bun de eigenaar is heel vriendelijk, heeft de eerste dag een tour gegeven, samen wat gedronken en gegeten. Wij gingen ook nog fruit halen, omdat ik dat graag wilde en dat deden we bij een lokalen markt. Ik kon met al mijn vragen bij hem terecht en hij kon mij helpen hoe ik met het openbaar vervoer terug kon komen in Medan. Het bed was geweldig en rook lekker, er was zelfs een nachtlampje, ventilator, water wat je kon bijvullen, eten wat je beneden kon halen en kon meenemen naar boven, schone handdoeken als ik die nodig had, scooter kon ik huren. Er waren grote mieren in mijn kamer (niet extreem, maar wel vervelend), het afval mag wel worden weggegooid als ik op de kamer verblijf, hierdoor ging de kamer soms stinken😔

• Caroline (10/5): Wonderful stay - I had a great stay at Marbun! The room was spacious and clean, the wifi worked well, and it was a great location. Boon is very helpful and such a nice guy, not to mention a good cook! Thanks Boon :)

• Thaïs (10/5): Propre, confortable et super accueil - Bonne position près du port, literie confortable, propre. Douche avec eau chaude et papier toilette+poubelle à disposition. Le balcon est un plus, de même que le restaurant au rez-de-chaussée (très bon). Mais le joyau de cet hôtel est certainement Bun, très aimable et qui m’a aidée de bon cœur à organiser la suite de mon voyage. J’ai aussi pu louer une moto (manuelle!) à un prix très raisonnable.
• Bernadette (9/5): A nice spot if you wanna explore the island. For lake- view and relaxing it doesnt fit. - Nice owner, huge room, very clean and well equiped with a big balcony. Strong WIFI, hot watwr, good restaurant. Room is excellent! Unfortunately traffic is very loud in the daytime, ( its quiet from 11pm to 7am), no lake-view.

• Anouk (7/5): - Schone kamer. En heel aardig personeel. Ik kon geen scooter huren, maar Boon heeft me het eiland op zijn scooter laten zien. Hierdoor was mijn ervaring op samosir helemaal top! De kamers zitten aan een luide weg. Het is erg gehorig. Ook is het niet helemaal donker in de kamer. Met oordopjes en slaapmasker geslapen, daardoor goeie nacht gehad.

• Simon (9/5): Awesome stay! - I loved my stay at Marbun's guesthouse! The guesthouse is well located in the main street of TukTuk. Marbun was a super awesome host who helped me with all my questions and gave me good tips on where to go and what to do I totally recommend this place (and their restaurant!) I suppose this is more of a general for all accommodations in Tuk Tuk: from early morning there's so much noise coming from the motorbikes passing by on the street ... Though if you bring earplugs you don't have to worry about this

• Federica (10/5): Soggiorno piacevolissimo, gestito da persone davvero in gamba e gentili. Consiglio a chiunque! - Tutto perfetto! Camera molto spaziosa e pulita, dotata anche di terrazzino, bagno di buone dimensioni e pulito. Inoltre abbiamo pranzato e cenato tutti i giorni al ristorante perché anche il cibo era davvero buono! Infine, un merito va al personale davvero educato, gentile e alla mano: il ragazzo che ci ha accolto e seguito, Bun, è di una carineria e di una premura indescrivibili. Anche la posizione era ideale, quindi CONSIGLIATISSIMO! È stato tutto impeccabile.

• Teresa (10/5): Great - It’s a perfekt location very clean and big room, with everything you need. There is a restaurant wich has great food! You also can rent scooter there. The owners a really nice and helpful. They help you organizing give you tips and sometimes play games and talk at the night with you. Little bit loud in the morning

• VIRGINIA (8/5): Habitación cómoda en Tuk Tuk - Marbun tiene habitaciones en la calle principal de Tuk Tuk, y un restaurante con rica comida. El personal es muy amable, sobretodo Bun, el me indicó los lugares para ir a visitar y se tomó el tiempo de enseñarme a conducir una moto, ya que es muy necesario para conocer la isla de Samosir. La habitación es grande y limpia con una mesa para dejar tu equipaje y un armario. la cama era grande, cómoda y tiene ventilador. La ducha era buena. puedes recargar el agua gratis. Además de alquiler de motos, también ofrecen masajes. Gracias Bun!! Una lástima que las habitaciones tengan los balcones hacía la calle principal y no hacia el lago. Uno de los espejos debería estar en el baño. Tuve una sola toalla para 3 dias. Se escuchan un poco los ruidos de la calle principal, pero igual se puede descansar.
• Penkem (10/5): Unexpectedly Excellent. - Bun, the manager is simply fantastic. He made my stay special. The room was huge, clean and had everything I needed. The balcony looking over the street was also huge. The restaurant was awesome and Bun made THE best gado-gado in the world. As a bonus my bicycle was also allowed to sleep upstairs. The street sounds were a bit noisy but I just plugged in my earplugs to sleep. Would be nice to have warm water in the shower. Other than that everything was awesome, especially the price.

Super friendly and helpful host who can sort scooter rentals etc. Nice location in Tuk Tuk, good restaurant downstairs too. Great value for money. there is no sound insulation to next door and outside.

Thank you very much Bun, i hope to visit again! Water pressure in the shower, noisy because of the road
• Yan (9/5): Superb - Friendly owner. The room was very big and comfortable and I slept well. The best part of this stay is the food. The mee goreng and Nasi goreng were in my opion of gourmet standards at super low prices. Location is not beside the lake which is the only major downside.
• Rovindo (10/5): The best in the area - The location, the host, the room, the balcony, everything. Walking distance to everything, on the main road but still quiet, love the quiet morning view from the balcony. They have a restaurant downstairs, good and affordable food. The best for the price.
• Jacob (10/5): Perfect stay on Lake Toba - I had an amazing stay at Marbun, the room was very comfortable and spotless, and the location is ideal. There are many options for food and scooter / bicycle hire within walking distance, and the Marbun restaurant downstairs does especially good food. Boon was an amazing host who made me feel very comfortable and was excellent in advising where to go on the island. He also took me on a tour of Samosir and the surroundings on a scooter which was beautiful. I booked 3 nights here but stayed for a week, it is so beautiful and rich in culture.
• Iris (10/5): Amazing stay at Marbun - Very nice guesthouse with a good restaurant beneath it, make sure to check it out! Rooms are spacious, clean and have a balcony. The son of the owners, Bun, was really nice and helpfull. The day we left he brought us to the port. We will definitely be back when we are in Tuktuk!
