Guest Reviews
- Gregg (9/5): 100% recommended. Saundersfoot just a few mins away by car but you wouldn’t know it as this place is so peaceful and tra - Beautiful renovated stable cottage with everything you could need and want for a short stay. Boiling water on tap, luxury crockery and even an electric car charger. We liked everything.
- Jacob (10/5): Beautiful modern cottage in amazing grounds. - Close to Saundersfoot town centre. (10 minutes walk)
The grounds are amazing!
The cottage was modern and cosy.
Comfy beds. Nothing :)
- Stuart (10/5): - It was spotless and very comfortable B/A
- Sarah (10/5): We had a excellent stay we would stay here again and highly recommend - The location was beautiful and peaceful, lovely to sit on the benches around the lake and at the top to take in the views. Everything is very well maintained and looked after. There were a couple of things regarding the shower room the location of the heated towel rail is awkward as my sister burnt her arm on it while brushing her teeth at the sink. Plus it could be used as a grab rail in the location it’s in which is not ideal when hot. There could be a shelf to put soap/ shampoo etc
In addition could there be instructions left on how to use the Quooker tap (we struggled to make a hot drink) and for cooker/hob.
- Caroline (9/5): Cute cottage vibes with all mod cons in a peaceful lakeside location - Cute cottage on the outside, beautiful modern renovation on the inside. Loved the snug heated floors and always wanted to try a qooker tap. Beds and sofas were super comfy and we liked the iShower in the wet room holding us to account on our energy and water usage! Kids were gutted it didn’t have a hot tub when they saw the other cottages did 😆. It was a bit further out of Saundersfoot than we had anticipated and the roads were pretty narrow and steep. Trade off for a peaceful lake side location though.
- Rosina (9/5): - Superb location. Comfortable, clean and warm....underfloor heating!. Sharp knives- always a bonus. Quooker tap was puzzling at first.
Obliging host. Quooker instructions would be good but we referred to the internet.
Bathroom doesn't have underfloor heating ( but does have a hot towel rail)
Not much room in the twin bedroom but that's a minor point.
- Mark (10/5): - Exceptionally clean, comfortable and homely property in a lovely setting. Perfect if you have a dog
Host was very helpful.
- Karen (8/5): Great place to stay for access to Saundersfoot beach and shops. - The cottage was quiet and comfortable with a good area to walk my dog. The beach at Saundersfoot was a very short drive away and was only about 10 minutes away by foot. Please note dogs are not allowed on parts of the beach during the summer but all accessible after 30th September. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was not very appealing. It was functional but very clinical and resembled a public toilet facility with a hole in the floor with a partition for the shower rather than a bathroom you would find in a cottage / house. Pictures of the bathroom on the old website for this cottage showed a much better bathroom. A bath was not required by us due to accessibility issues but the current shower although accessible and functional was not aesthetically great or something you would want to use. The sofas were not comfortable. Have to travel about 10 miles if you want a supermarket.
- Louise (10/5): Perfect place to spend new year with our dogs - The property was perfect . Spotlessly clean . Quaint little cottage but with modern appliances . If I had to be brutally honest the bathroom was cold but we’re in here in January . The water pressure on the shower was poor
- Kerry (10/5): -
- Lucy (9/5): Peaceful, cosy, homely. Just what we wanted - The location was amazing, so peaceful, the only sound was the birds A bath would have been a great bonus rather than just a shower
- maria (9/5): -
- Lynzi (9/5): Cost, comfortable accommodation. - Beautifully decorated and well appointed.
Warm.
Good quality fixtures and fittings.
WiFi
TV
Adjacent parking place.
Comfortable beds. Lack of places to put things in the bathroom, which also gets very wet.
Lack of shelving in main bedroom.
Only mirror above a plug socket for drying hair was in sons’ room.
Track to the property needs attention.
- DAVID (9/5): - Spotless , lovely bed linen . I am nit picking now but if you want any suggestions for improvements and honest feedback .
1) radiator in bathroom is incredibly hot and both of us managed to touch it with bare skin and it hurts
2)id like a kettle. the quooker doesn't seem to work properly .
- Jurgita (8/5): Lovely Cottage with Beautiful Views and Comfortable Beds - We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely little cottage. It was tastefully decorated and felt very cosy. The beds and mattresses were very comfortable, and we all slept really well.
The location was wonderfully quiet with beautiful views, and the town was within walking distance, so we enjoyed bike rides, walks, and exploring the local area. It was also such a thoughtful surprise to find a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us on arrival. The children especially loved the fishing, which made the stay very memorable for them. Just to mention for future guests, only one bath towel per person was supplied for the week, which was a little difficult, especially as there was no line outside to dry them. We ended up using the electric radiator in the shower room, which gets extremely hot, and unfortunately two family members burned their skin quite badly. A warning sign or some precaution would be very helpful here. The shower room also had limited space for toiletries — apart from the cupboard under the basin
and the windowsill behind the toilet, there wasn’t much room for four people’s things, so we had to keep toiletries in bags and bring them in each time. A small glass or holder for toothbrushes and toothpaste would also be useful. Finally, essentials such as soap and toilet paper ran out quite quickly, so we needed to buy more.
- Olivia (10/5): Perfectly private - cannot wait to come back - Stunning location, very private. The cottage was perfect for our needs - lots of modern facilities. We cannot wait to come back
- Peter (8/5): -
- Emma (10/5): Peaceful, beautiful location, cottage is a dream! - A beautiful and comfortable cottage, with high spec furnishings. Stunning surroundings, so peaceful and relaxing, best holiday stay we have experienced in this area, sad to leave. Nothing it was perfect!
- Robert (10/5): I’d recommend this cottage to anybody / everybody - Great location, clean and really well appointed Nothing , it was all good
- Nicola (8/5): Fabulous location, doggy friendly, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and free wine! Excellent! - The location was absolutely beautiful and the property was spotlessly clean. Finding a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge was an added bonus!
- Emma (10/5): Beautiful country cottage in a stunning location - The cottage was beautiful, very modern, clean and cosy.very impressed with it all. Would definitely stay again. We would have preferred a kettle instead of the quooker tap as we couldn’t get it to work properly but we had never used one before. It just made making baby bottles a bit tricky, but overall we loved it!
- Paul (10/5): Perfect for what we wanted - Peaceful and quiet but still local to all amenities, spotlessly clean and tidy.
Comfortable will all you need for a quiet break away.
For the electric car owners there is even on site charging at very good rates. Nothing it was everything it said on the booking.com site
- Amelie (9/5): Fabulous, we will hopefully be back - Beautiful cottage, kitchen has been renovated since photos taken so ever nicer in real life. Such a lovely property and some fantastic little touches. Made to feel very welcome but left alone to enjoy the peace and tranquility of surroundings. It was a bit of a pain keeping wet room floor dry
- Michael (8/5): Great short break. - Well renovated. Comfortable small but had everything we needed.
- Charlotte (7/5): Good -
- David (8/5): Very good - Beautiful location. All new appliances freshly decorated
- Kerry (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location. Very clean and well equipped. Communication with Josh was excellent Nothing
- Paige (10/5): Exceptional - The whole place, the cottage the surroundings all were beautiful
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - The location was peaceful. Driving through the narrow lanes.
- Lynne (8/5): Peaceful and relaxing stay, just what we needed to re charge our batteries. Thank you so much. - Great views of the lake and surrounding fields from the cottage, loved how quiet it was, the only noise being the sound of the birds.
- Selsey (9/5): Superb - Communication was excellent. Owner extremely helpful for every query. Beds, especially the single beds were exceptionally comfortable Driveway down to the property was very pot holed which was OK in my car but smaller cars may have some issues?
