• Hilary (10/5): A wonderful mini-break exploring the Lakes - Spotless, very comfortable accommodation. Excellent shower. Handy location halfway between Windermere (train station, shops and pubs/cafes/restaurants) and Bowness (lake, attractions, more shops/pubs/cafes/restaurants). Easy to get to other villages and towns on public transport. Ideal holiday spot in a beautiful and extremely friendly location.

• Beth (10/5): Lovely place 10 mins walk into Windermere town or 20ish mins int bowness. - Super convenient, great facilities and good value for money. Great to have a small space to eat if you want to, brekkie or dinner. Microwave, kettle and fridge so easy to make some food or heat up a take away. Great shower, small bathroom but enough for a short stay. A really nice host and good bed. Very quiet.

• Alison (10/5): Would recommend 👌 - Good communication before arrival. Let me check in a little earlier as the weather was shocking! Exceptionally clean room, comfortable bed and quality pillows. Fridge, microwave and kettle. Tea,coffee and sugar provided and milk if wanted. 5 to 10 minute stroll to shops, restaurants, pubs and railway station. Didn't use...but also a good bus service with rover type tickets I believe. Was able to park outside property...a quiet road but it was school holidays- school directly opposite so would be a little different in term time!

The room and bed was comfortable, great shower and great facilities within the room. Guests rooms are seperated from the main house so you can come and go as needed. Would 100% recommend.

• Kay (8/5): Lovely! would highly recommend the room for a solo traveller. - Lovely en-suite room. Very clean and well decorated and equipped. Host very welcoming and also provided fresh milk. Room also had a fridge and microwave (plus crockery and cutlery)- everything you need for a comfy trip. The radiator in my room did not heat up at all. It was controlled by hive, which meant that i was unable to switch the heating on independently. It was a a little nippy in the evenings and I’d like to have been able to switch the heating on for a bit of coziness.

I am super impressed by how well equipped the room is - very comfortable and everything you'd need, even a microwave and plates if you want to eat in the room after a long day up the hills I walked up and down the street a couple of times before seeing where it was, easy in daylight but i arrived after dark and initially walked past it

• Maria (8/5): - The kitchenette is well stocked in terms of utensils, plates, microwave and fridge. The room and guest house are clean and in excellent condition. The size of the room is a little small. The lighting in the room could be less bright white and more soft.

Owner friendly and informative. Not so much a bad thing but just a heads up, the attic room has a low sloping roof over bed.
• Molly (9/5): - Excellent accomodation. Very clean, well thought out with everything you need (plates, mugs etc) to be comfortable. Very easy checkin and check out. Host was great. Would definitely stay here again. Bed was a bit small for my 6ft 4 partner and I, but it was a standard double size. The room is cozy but comfortable.

• Vera (8/5): Very enjoyable and no complaints at all. - Very clean, comfortable, all you’d need for a few days away. Good value , nice and quiet. The headspace in the room was a bit restricting but wouldn’t stop us booking the room again. We’re both quite tall .

Walking to both is possible. Fan was appreciated in hot weather. Great selection of teas and ample starter milk. Musty smell in bathroom. Kept door closed.

For example, lots of storage (under bed etc), lots of hooks, small kitchen area, complimentary teas/coffees and milk to only name a few.

A small but practical table and 2 chairs, convection oven microwave, fridge, dinnerware for two. It was all neatly fitted in. Parking outside was easy, and it's a nice short walk to Windermere or Bowness centres.

• Joanna (9/5): Nice clean, bright accommodation, perfect for anyone wanting to be independent on their visit to the - Nice guest house, located in peaceful street between Windermere and Bowness. Compact room and bathroom but well equipped - breakfast isn't offered here but the room has a perfect compact mini-kitchen with good quality microwave and crockery/cutlery and mini-fridge for self catering. Host Adam met me st the door on the first day and showed me the room. Single room was at the rear of the house, light, airy and peaceful Please consider adding a corkscrew to the cutlery drawer! Parking is on street but not a problem - I had to park a bit down the street on day 2 but I did arrive back late on a Friday evening.

Lots of little extras like combi Micro, fridge and electric toothbrush charger. Great power shower in a small but brilliantly decorated and functional bathroom. 15 minute walk to Bowness-On-Windermere and same to Windermere centre. Prefer a king size bed personally.

The host was really welcoming, refreshed my towels and bins, and gave me some helpful notes and suggestions of things to do and places to go. The room had everything I needed and was very comfortable.

• Wendy (7/5): Would revisit... in a different room - The property was spotlessly clean and an excellent base from which to visit the district in its entirety (a minute walk to the nearest bus stop). Ten minutes on foot in one direction led to Windermere, in the other direction, Bowness. Wifi signal was excellent and it was good to have the option of Netflix. Host was pleasant and happy to help. Parking- advertised as free parking but it was on street parking which was tight. We couldn't get the car out on our 2nd day which meant £20 on buses instead. Size- although advertised as a small room, nothing can truly prepare you for the bathroom. It will be remembered for a long time to come... as will the number of times my partner hit his head on the ceiling.

I didn't like the fact it was opposite the schools but this can't be helped and no specific parking but thus is only a minor issue
• Michael (9/5): Highly recommended! Particularly for a single traveller. - The property, and the small single room was really perfect for a single traveller. Everything you need. Nothing you didn't. Everything worked perfectly and was simple to operate. Immaculately clean, and the proprietor asked in advance which milk I preferred for my tea. And a really nice touch was the simply presented, airtight-packed choice of teabags. Being a Yorkshire Tea fanatic that meant a lot! Decent value for money in an expensive neck of the woods. Well run, no nonsense, and I looked for ward to getting back there after long days out in the elements of a Cumbrian November. No complaints, but as it's a small guesthouse you're aware of other residents. You wouldn't want a riotous party in the room!
