• Marta (10/5): I really liked it! - Everything was perfect! Every bed in my room had it's own shelf, outlet, lamp and courtain. There were lockers and padlocks available. Clean bathrooms and common area. Very helpful staff! There are shops, restaurants and tram stop nearby. Great place to stay! It's a little bit worn out, but not badly.

• Irina (7/5): Пора делать ремонт или хотя бы убираться лучше. - Отличное местоположение, несмотря на соседние шумные улицы , ночью тихо. При заезде было не очень хорошо убрано: грязная раковина, одно из полотенец было явно не стираное . В подъезде жуткий запах. Так же сильно протекает кабинка душа. Унитаз столь близко к стене и душу, что размещаясь на нем у вас колени почти упираются в стену, а стопы в воде из-за душа. Так же матрас пора точно менять. Окна тоже неплохо бы хоть иногда мыть. Телевизор висит для красоты. Диван тоже грязный, на нем были крошки и сам он весь засаленный . Вообщем, уставшие апартаменты. Пора уже обновлять.

• Denis (6/5): Стало хуже, чем три года назад - Останавливался здесь три года назад, стало хуже. Плюсы только в расположении, люблю район Топхане, а также уютное и стильное кафе и общая зона. Хотя кухни так и не внедрили для гостей, невозможно приготовить своей еды или положить где-то на хранение, что не удобно. Лучше бы из подвальной комнаты сделали общую кухню. Бронировал комнату на 6 человек для мужчин. Меня заселили в подвале в номере на 8 кроватей общего пола. Там окошечко в "турецкий колодец", дышать нечем. Кровати с какой-то фанерой, будто где-то нашли ,и там раньше жил персонал хостела и кафе, потому что вокруг просто склад стафа для кафе и прачечная хостела. Сами кровати в этой комнате не как на фото (на фото те, что я видел и жил 3 года назад, на что ориентировался). Душевая в этом подвале вся грязная ,стены черные. Туалеты как из общественных мест, поскольку сюда еще ходят те, кто приходит в кафе. Я поднимался выше, поскольку помнил, что на верхних этажах хорошие индивидуальные туалетные и ванные комнаты.

• Róbert (9/5): Ajánlom másnak is - Személyzet nagyon rendes volt. Szoba, fürdő tiszták voltak, az ágy kényelmes. Wifi kapcsolat is rendben volt. A szoba forgalmas útra nézett és kicsit hangos volt.
• Sirine (10/5): Très bon rapport qualité prix - Tout était super ! Le café est super cosy, les prix des boissons et snacks sont un peu hauts mais restent raisonnables.. Le fait qu’il y ait une exposition de tableaux partout dans l’établissement fait penser à un petit musée c’est sympa. Le personnel est très serviable et toujours à disposition. J’ai passé un excellent séjour. Le + de cet hostel est que vous pouvez avoir votre intimité grâce aux rideaux des lits et aux lockers pour ranger vos affaires. Il manque un coin petit déjeuner, un petit déjeuner commun dans la grande salle à l’arrière du café serait parfait pour apporter plus de convivialité. Mais j’ai entendu dire que l’idée avait été entendue ! Le ménage est fait au sol chaque jour, mais petit bémol, quand je suis arrivée, mon lit était certes fait mais il a suffit que je regarde les bordures du matelas pour trouver de la poussière et une petite boule de cheveux. Je m’en suis occupée toute seule mais vous devriez faire attention !
• C (8/5): - I loved the location. It was in a great spot. The staff were incredible. Very helpful and friendly. I was absolutely exhausted after the trek to the hostel and covered in sweat after a long journey and a very lovely worker (unfortunately I can't remember his name!) Suggested I have a seat and take a beat before I checked in. He then brought me over some water and a delicious lovely lemonade. Another worker gave me a fantastic recommendation for a turkish breakfast spot just up the hill with a beautiful view. I loved the look and feel of the downstairs Cafe area. Loved the resident cats too! Really good value for money overall. The cost of a coffee at the hostel was surprisingly high - better to go elsewhere. All the staff I interacted with were amazing, bar one. There was one girl that made me uncomfortable on two occasions. I could sense a hostility and it was unpleasant. The showers were a bit hard to use as there was no screen or second area to hang or keep apart your things. Perhaps could do with a deep clean.

• kkluv (9/5): - 1. 地理位置不错，在老城区那边，周围也有各种商店，走路下去就是有轨电车站和公交站，距离各种景点也比较近，其实硬要走路，完全可以走的过去 2. 环境很好，青旅一楼是一个咖啡店，早上在那里吃早餐，还有一只非常可爱的小猫猫在，不怎么怕人，可以喝咖啡撸猫 3. 卫生条件不错，床品干净，床垫也很软，逛了一天累了直接倒头就睡 1. 青旅里面没有公共洗衣机，如果要洗衣服需要支付600里拉，差不多100人民币左右，感觉还是比较贵的，但是完全不用自己操心，第二天会洗干净叠好给你 2. 厕所和淋浴间比较少，每层好像只有一个，而且空间也比较小，只能说够用

• Claire (6/5): Staff needs to clean better - One person for bed female dorm four nights lower bunk: great location nice neighborhood, small room but doable, individual bunks have shelf and outlet and light, shower pressure is good water is hot, the stairs aren’t that bad, staff is very friendly, great welcome, they let you go behind the counter in the cafe to use the filtered tap water, there is a kitchen in the basement (sketchy but w/e), wifi was good, very social place owner is always posting on the whatsapp about different events (bar crawls, boats, etc), they partner a lot with Cheers, another hostel in the city I wanted to like this hostel, I really did, but it was not clean: there was trash in the room the entire time I stayed (4 nights), old plastic silverware and just literal trash inside drawers, on the floor, on the counter, I saw people cleaning in the hallways and bathrooms so I don't know why they wouldn't throw out trash in the room, when I first arrived someone's bag of food had wedged between my mattress and the wall who knows how long that was there, mattress is uncomfortable and doesn't fit the space cut out for the bunk there's always a gap and the edge of the frame sticks up and makes it uncomfortable to get in/ out, my sheets were definitely not clean (I found dry crusty bits on them) even though the guy checking me in assured me they were clean, the shower heads were broken when I first arrived and then one random day I came back and new mounts had been installed in the shower but all the dirt and dust and paint shavings were just left all over the shower, the street noise is very loud if you leave the balcony door open you should keep the door closed for security and turn on the AC, only two showers and two toilets on our floor which probably had 10 beds total, bathroom did have a hairdryer it was the loudest hairdryer ever created on earth I felt so bad for people around me when I was using it, luggage storage is not secure it's just a stairwell near the entrance to the cafe

Please get lower bed since upper bed very difficult to go up and down since the stair quite incline. Good for a short stay like 2 nights. No shower gel

• Gerardo (10/5): Great value for money - As soon as I arrived at the Archeo Cafe Hostel, Borry was very welcoming. I was checked in right away and I was escorted to my room and shown my bed and locker. The room smelled amazing. Borry gave me a welcome drink which was awesome. Everyone in the hostel was friendly and helpful especially Naz, Zeynel, Justine and Yunus. The location is just perfect. It's near the tram that goes to the major attractions. Taksim Square and the Galata Tower are walking distance. There are convenience stores and restaurants along the street. If you want coffee or turkish tea, croissant, cup cakes, pastries, it's available in the Archeo Cafe. The cafe serves the most amazing mango slushy. They also serve cocktails. The Archeo Cafe decor and furnishings are very nice. Smoking is outside the cafe and cushioned chairs and tables are provided. There is a laundry facility with a washer and dryer. You can also iron your clothes. My bed was comfortable and fresh sheets, blankets and pillows were provided. The toilet was clean and the hot shower was wonderful. Two lovely cats grace the cafe.

• Stephen (8/5): I stayed two weeks in Archeo because it was so central and made a great base to explore Istanbul - This hostel is in a fantastic location. A very short walk to trams or ten minutes to the ferry. Walk anywhere from here and you will find all the shops you need. Lots of food options and small grocery shops. You can walk to the Galata Tower and Taksim Square, not a problem. The rooms were not cramped and had good security cabinets. The beds were excellent with privacy curtains, a personal light and a power point. The common area on the ground floor is a little cafe where you can buy a coffee and excellent home-made cakes. The choc brownie is to die for. The peaches from the shops are the best I've ever had and cheap when they are in season. I wanted to swim so caught a ferry to the Princes' Islands to swim in the Marmara Sea. Also I caught two buses (or metro and bus) to Kilyos to swim in the Black Sea. Public transport is good, frequent and cheap. When you go to swimming destinations, avoid the 'pay-for' beaches and walk around a headland to find a small quieter free public beach, they are beautiful. I did this with all my swimming. The Archeo staff are friendly and helpful. They organise outings and events all the time, often with other hostels, so you can meet lots of people if you want to. I was killing time b4 returning to Europe and stayed an extra week! A kitchen would have been good but the staff were very happy to provide me with boiling water to make tea in my thermos. Food is cheap and plentiful so no problem finding dinner. The bathrooms are few, single and small. I did have to go to the next floor a couple of times. The hostel rooms and bathrooms are cleaned every day, so no problems there.

• Chantal (7/5): Good - The beds are good, curtains are nice, vibe and cafe really good. Most staff are very friendly. Loved it till I got charged 15$ when I lost the card to enter my room. Lockers don't lock. The locks can't work even though they sell it as if they do.

• Tomas (8/5): Very good - There were two errors in 2 nights I stayed. First, staff blamed the booking system. In dorm, someone took my bed and it took them some time to fix the error, they were running around but without much thought how to solve it smoothly. Secondly, staff said they returned my deposit when they actually didn't. I dont know was it communication issue between them, or someone tried to profit or did a mistake with the deposit, as you don't get any receipt for deposit, they just try to remember. Some staff is enthusiastic, some staff is very passive. Quality wise it was really on lower end
• Etienne (10/5): Exceptional - The hostel is in a cafe. I was in a dorm in the basement, but there are more on the first floor. The bed was comfortable, it had a reading lamp, a power socket and a curtain. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a kitchen for guests, which I did not look at. The area is nice if you don't want to be in Sultanahmet. It is a 10 minute (uphill) walk to all the action near Taksim, where locals go to have fun. The basement area doesn't look too great, but no big deal.

• Rose (5/5): Fairly bare bones hostel experience, showers need maintenance - Great location and wonderful staff Nice air conditioning in room Quiet and fairly comfortable. Shower didn't drain and it emitted a bad smell when the shower was used, had to use hallway shower Air conditioning has large light on it so I had to wear eyemask while sleeping, too bright Deadlock didn't work on door, needs maintenance to feel most safe and secure.
• Rose (6/5): Super friendly, very budget - Super friendly staff and a lovely coffee shop, the people staying here are also very chill and nice. It's a good hostel right in a convenient spot to be not right next to parties but also can walk to all the major sights. Good vibes, also safe! The bathrooms need some maintenance- more venting and some of the shower heads were broken. There is a smell from the drains that is quite bad. They get really hot from the lack of ventilation. The bed curtains need maintenance- mine was broken slightly and hanging off on one end.
• Gabriel (8/5): I'd come back - Great location in the city. I was able to check in at 1am and the attention from the night receptionist was amazing. I wasn't able to pay my reservation with card, maybe I was just unlucky - found an ATM pretty nearby.
• George (5/5): Great staff - pretty rough room - The staff so SO nice. Really super duper great. The cafe is good too. The location is fantastic. The room was not very clean, the shower didn't drain and just spilled all over the bathroom floor. The toilet was wobbly and smelled(not sealed. They never cleaned the room in 5 days, nor emptied the toilet paper trashcan ... The balcony just had broken furniture, and a dead plant - no view. Now, I know this is just a private room in a hostel, I didn't expect much, but it really wasn't great. For the same cost you can get a better room in a hotel. I booked this for the social side of things, but in hind sight, it wasn't really worth it, but that's juet me.

• Jonathan (10/5): Second time and it's really worth it! - My second time here - I have to say they focus a lot on the cleanliness and neatness of the accommodation. The cafe downstairs just makes the entire hostel feel like a wonderful place to stay in. It's a great place to mingle with like-minded individuals in the common area and even in the room. They organise boat parties for solo travellers to join. The location is awesome. I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you.

• Sam (6/5): Overall not bad but just needed a bit of updating and the price was reasonable. - Staff were ok. Hostel did coffee and food deals which were good. Also had events on throughout the week. Padlocks available for rent for a small deposit. Some of the property was looking a bit tired and needed updating. Plug sockets had loose fittings in your bed space. Large amount of storage space under beds had no lock. Communal shower rooms on my floor did need some improvement.
• Paul (9/5): Superb - Very comfy beds with thick curtains that don't let the light go through. Nice atmosphere in the cafe area downstairs. Small kitchen and not many tools to cook, open only from 12pm and often busy because of the staff which has priority over the guests to use the kitchen.
