• Catherine (10/5): We used this as a base for the first night of our holiday travelling north from Cairns airport. It was a perfect start w - Christine, the owner was very helpful Nothing but did have trouble finding it in the dark as couldn’t see the number of the house
• Andrea (10/5): Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt - Die Hauherrin ist ganz bezaubernd, hilfsbereit und war immer für uns da. Sie umsorgte uns. In der Balihütte fanden wir Ruhe und wir fühlten uns wie auf einer grünen Oase. Zum Strand geht ein Pfad um das Haus. Wir sind oft mit Müslischale und einer Tasse Kaffee zum Strand und haben dort bei Sonnenaufgang gefrühstückt: Herrlich. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Küche ist ein bisschen klein.

• wijdeveld (10/5): Great place close to Palm Cove - great value for money! - Very nice accomodation, bit further from the restaurants but super easy if you have a car. Nice and quiet and a lovely host. Very comfortable beds, had everything we needed. Nothing for us - but if you want to walk to restaurants /bars it's not the spot for you

• Sarah (9/5): Superb - Christine was a lovely host and made myself and Kona (dog) feel very welcome, even offering to share some of her home cooked thai green curry on my arrival. Kitchen was stocked with basic breaky items as well as chocolates on arrival and even a toothbrush/toothpaste should you need. Location was perfect, walking distances to some of Cairns' best beaches. Would happily stay again.

• Amanda (9/5): Beautiful garden and amazing location - We were initially surprised that this accommodation was not a separate guest house, but was instead a sectioned off part of the host's house. The host, however, was so incredibly warm and welcoming that we soon felt right at home. There were so many thoughtful inclusions that we were very grateful for. She was very kind to our dog too! The garden is stunning and the bathroom is large and very comfortable. The bedrooms are also a very good size. The bed we slept in was very comfy. The location is epic. It's a very short walk to Clifton Beach and a very beautiful walk to Palm Cove. Coles is just around the corner too! The washer and dryer were also excellent. Even though a hot plate was provided, we couldn't really use it because there was no extraction fan / range hood in the laundry/kitchenette. We just used the barbeque in the backyard as a workaround instead. It would have been great if there was a dining table either inside or in the outside area, but we made do by using the study desk in the second bedroom.

Karinya exceeded my expectations in every way from the peaceful, tropical vibe you immediately feel of the property on arrival to the beautiful and fresh comfortable accommodation inside. 5 minute walk for beach sunrises was bliss. I can't wait to book a longer stay than 5 nights next time 😁 Nothing at all!

It was so quiet there it was as if I was the only one there and had the back yard (which was paradise!) to myself. I wish I had booked for longer. She is so thoughtful with all the extras that have been thought of - breakfast, snacks, books, magazines. The beach is beautiful. It doesn’t seem as windy as Palm cove, and it’s nicer than Port douglas. I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Queensland and I can honestly say, value for money was exceptional. I’m telling all my friends. There was nothing to not like

The extras Christine provided were above and beyond-many towels, toothbrush & toothpaste, more than basic foodstuffs and stocked fridge for breakfast. More than enough crockery etc. A beautiful garden and comfortable outside lounge area, a spa if we wanted. A very welcoming host. A lovely place to relax. NA
• Amanda (9/5): Relaxing and trouble free - This was our first time using non traditional accommodation so uncertain what to expect. We had secure off street parking. Accessing the property was easy and sensor lights came on to light our way in the evening. The accommodation was exceptionally clean. Little extras like shampoo, body wash, brand new toothbrushes and mini toothpaste (although we had our own) and some bread, fruit and coffee and tea makings etc were a welcome surprise. Despite the rain, the outdoor dining and garden area was inviting and relaxing. Christine gave us space and privacy but was available if we needed her.
