• Niel (9/5): Unwinding at an Oasis in Nieu-Bethesda with our furry kids. - The communication with the host, Desiree was excellent. She met us at the guesthouse and gave us a tour of the facilities, also what can be visited and experienced in town. She sent us a link before our arrival on restaurants and places of interest to visit, which made planning our trip so much easier. The house is super comfy albeit rustic and the bed was fantastic. To note that we went over a weekend when it was quite cold, but electric blankets provided. We were able to take our two miniature Schnauzers with and the backyard was fenced in and a perfect and safe play area for them. We kept them on their leashes when walking into town. Other animals like dogs, sheep, goats and horses are free roaming in town and create a real farm atmosphere. Everything is within walking distance, so pack your walking shoes. We had a great pizza at Bruno's, but the guest house has everything for self catering. A most enjoyable stay. The kitchen sink drained slowly, but Desiree and her husband was on call and sorted it quickly.
