• Maria (7/5): Lovely hotel, very nice staff - We stayed 2 nights at the melisende and the room is really nice and charming, it has all the amenities that you need and is of good quality. The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and nice. They even prepared us our breakfast to go because we didn’t have time to sit and enjoy it on our last morning. The only thing we didn’t like so much is the location. It is located directy next to the market and very hard to reach by car (the streets are soo narrow you have to be a good driver to enter them) there’s also no parking reserved for the hotel (you might find one close by but that’s not guaranteed) the rooms are not where the reception/breakfast is but spreaded somewhere arround it. I think this is not a problem when traveling alone but we had 3 small kids with us and a stroller, which made it difficult to navigate arround.

• Broshl (9/5): Superb - the size of the room, it was spacious and felt authentic. well-airconditioned, bed was comfortable and clean. doesn't require moving the car, and old city attractions are steps away - we like being in the center, but since it is really in the old city there is some distance to cover on foot with the suitcases. - a few minor things needed to be fixed in the apt (light, hanging racks).

The room is large and very nicely decorated, huge comfortable bed, with includes every amenity you may need for your stay. The breakfast is in another building, a few minutes away and is very generous and tastey. Due to the special architecture, the only window is next to the door, no sunlight in the room. (Melisende 1)

• Shlomo (4/5): Disappointing - The room is beautiful, modern and well located. The pictures are misleading and the room is not spacious as it seems. The room has only one window above the entrance which makes it lacking fresh air and natural light, the room smelled like mold on the first day and we had to leave the door open the get some fresh air. And lastly the room is not noise isolated, we could hear people from the next room speaking, residents from the floor above made alot of noise, and you can hear everything from the shared space.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and the kitchen & bathroom were great. The loation is fabulous and breakfast - absolutely perfect! The staff is friendly and helpful in every way! There was a slight moldy smell in the apartment and since there are no windows it was hard to air out. The 3rd bed ( a converted couch) was not very comfortable.

The breakfast was very tasty and the service at the hotel was excellent. The roof top terrace at the main hotel was very nice! Everything was excellent! The only small thing that could perhaps be a little clearer when booking or in the information emails could be that the Melisende appartment is part of the Arabesque hotel.
• Ivan (3/5): don’t come to Akko. city is not prepared to welcome tourists. - room well decorated it’s an AirBNB, not a hotel. so u check in in a building, sleep in another and have breakfast in a third place. ackward.

A little more information on how to check in etc. we received a text message from Arabesque which was in a different location to the actual apartment. An explanation and some further instructions would have improved the overall experience. Once we arrived the staff were so welcoming and helpful though!
