- Pattie (10/5): - So close to bus stops and only a few min bus ride to city centre.
- Deborah (9/5): A very practical house with good facilities & the host was very quick to answer any queries - It was close to where we needed to be. The kitchen facilities were very good The lock in the main bathroom needs to be fixed - we got locked in a couple of times. Didn’t lock it again after that
- Barbara (8/5): Nice location away from the bustle of Cork. - Home has a lovely kitchen, is on a quiet street with a small grassy area in front with lots of children at play, and minutes away from small shopping area and buses into Cork city proper. Furnishings were old but adequate. The kitchen chair arms were wobbly and the curtain rod in the master bedroom fell down.
Back yard needed some TLC.

- Grace (10/5): Lovely 🥰 time away. - The property was very central to the morter way to get to were you whated to go. The place was very clean and had excellent hot 🥵 water 💦 to have a bath and to wash the dishes. But I didn’t use the hot water for the dishes I used the dishes washer. There was enough plates and cups and everything you needed in the house 🏠 the bedroom were lovely and clean and comfortable. It a very warm house 🏠 in the summer which is good 😊. N/A

- Etienne (7/5): - De ligging net buiten de Stad maar overal dichtbij. Ruime keuken. Parking voor de deur. De hygiëne. Het vuur in de keuken was vuil. Rolgordijn met schimmel. Badkamer met schimmel.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Clean tidy perfect for me Nothing
- Stephen (1/5): Nightmare. We booked this some months before our stay and after discovering how dire it was we looked again at the revie - The location of this property is good for road networks and shops/stores close by The entrance/front door and mat was disgusting, I immediately found a dustpan and brush to sweep away cobwebs, leaves and general debris.
The whole house was filthy, grimy and didn’t smell too good.
There was no hot water in the kitchen so we boiled water so that we could clean the kitchen. We contacted the owner about the water situation and he arrived at the house to check the boiler. He couldn’t fix the boiler and said he would speak to a plumber. We then asked if the tv was on a swivel bracket as it was on the alcove wall so as a group of four only two people could actually see it due to the placement of the furniture. The owner took it off the bracket and balanced the tv on a side table. In doing so he couldn’t get it working properly resulting in no live tv for our complete stay.
I then asked him where I was supposed to sleep as the bedroom I had had no blinds and very flimsy ill fitting curtains. He said he had the blind but it was broken but he proceeded to fix it to the window frame. It wasn’t a blackout blind so the light came through at dawn and we were unable to lift the blind to open the window and freshen the room which was smelly.
There were wires trailing in the kitchen. the wall sockets had no on off switches and there was a dryer in the shed that he said we could use that tripped the electric when the dryer was turned on. The wires from the dryer were run through the shed, across the patio and fed through a hole in the wall into a socket in the kitchen.
The patio and garden area was a mess with dirty dustbins under the kitchen window and peeling UPVC windowledge.
The last thing we did was strip the bed as is the usual request and this revealed the heavily stained mattress. No wonder the place stunk.
I am attaching. Some photographs that shows the condition of this place.
We paid over £600 for this two night accommodation and would ask you to request a refund as we certainly didnt get what would be expected from our stay.
- Derek (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (4/5): Location good/ uncomfortable house - Location very good What didn't like about the property
No 1. The toilet took 45 minutes to fill up,it made a drip noise as it filled up.could not use it during the night because of the noise.
2. 5 adults in the house but only 4 cups provided,
There was 23 glasses,a total mis-match .
Owner was to bring more cup on Saturday but failed to turn up.
3. Couches in the lounge room were very uncomfortable.
4. Tv was in a terrible position, you could only see the tv from one half of the room.
Owner was to call on Saturday and replace the television wall bracket. Owner failed to turn up.
5. No clothes line provided.
Found tumble dryer in garden shed, it trip the power and when it was on it did not generate any heat,so clothes were wet.
6. Power to shower had tripped a few times. Main shower could not be regulated, it was too hot or too cold.
7. No blind in main bedroom window, very bright early in the morning.
8.overflow pipe from the attic was dripping constantly, every time we went outside the pavement was wet, it took a bit of effort to dry our shoes coming back into the house.
- Rm (9/5): Our new Irish go-to place. We will be back! - Location perfect in Glanmire. Quiet neighborhood. Excellent kitchen & bedrooms & living room. Excellent closet space. Easy check in & check out. Prompt in-person friendly reply to a little problem. Wonderful at-home feeling. Bathrooms need an upgrade. Otherwise, it was all spit spot nice and clean and relaxing.
- Janice (9/5): Enjoyable stay in Glanmire with easy access to Cork - Lovely house with good beds and a lovely kitchen and living room. Rivertown Pub was close by and great fun. Nothing
- Matthew (7/5): Spacious and clean property in a great location. - The positives…..the house is clean, spacious with most things you would need. The location is superb.
Negatives…..we could not get the hot water to work during our stay and communication regarding the issue could have been better. There were also several lights that flickered or worked intermittently, a leak from an overflow pipe right outside the rear doors, loose/unsecured toilet in the en suite, etc.
The property could do with a bit of general maintenance all over, however there were no major flaws with this property, and they did not detrimentally impact our stay. We would not hesitate to book to stay here again in the future and enjoyed our time here.
Donnacha was also pleasant to deal with.
- Benjamin (10/5): Great place - Clean, tidy, had all that we needed
- Chewyieng (10/5): Exceptional -
