Guest Reviews
- Roy (8/5): Very enjoyable would possibly come back. - Spacious clean comfortable plenty of utensils Smoke alarm/heat alarm was far too close to the oven. Every time the door opened it went off and it was piercing and very distressing for some guests. There’s a piece of laminate in the kitchen that we kept tripping over. The shower in the en suite didn’t warm up and the pressure was non existent. Should have been allowed to book more than 45 mins in the pool as there was 10 of us. Also the farm shop was not open until the Sunday when we left.

- Jaroslaw (10/5): - We like absolutely everything it was perfect . We definitely come back. check out is to early 10am. Should be 12 pm.
- Alice (9/5): -
- Payne (9/5): Great family stay - Lovely quiet spot easy access to lake Windermere and surrounding areas. Nil
- Mark. (9/5): Great stay. - Great place to stay. Great house 6 Adults 3 kids 2 dogs. Lots of room.
- Jane (8/5): Relaxing but cold inside the property disappointed as I kept tripping - The space in the rooms There were 2 half empty toilet rolls in the bathrooms for 10 people and we had to buy some. We could only use the fire if we bought the wood, it was cold in the property and could not turn heating on, the oven tray way greasy and most importantly I am disabled and I kept tripping and fell twice in the kitchen due to a big piece of the wooden flooring coming up and being broken
- David (9/5): Lovely cottage, great location and great value for money! - Great for the amount of us, comfy beds, lovely kitchen/lounge. Only a very slight niggle and it wasn’t a problem for us but through the advert on booking.com it made it sound like the cottage had its own pool which is in fact shared between the other properties on the site. Not an issue but more of a suggestion to mention it for future bookings to save potential disappointment.
- Madalyne (8/5): Overall enjoyed the grubbings property. - Property was spacious. Location was nice and easy to the laundry room and swimming pool on the estate and lovely walks on our doorstep, Some damp in parts of the house. Some of the bedrooms of the bungalow face communal areas and the windows do not have blinds.
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Buck (9/5): Superb -
- Natasha (7/5): Great space for large group and beautiful location with lots to do - Beautiful location, really nice cottages, good size room and social spaces. Lots to do nearby. The pool and games room was a nice addition and the staff were good at coming back to me with enquiries. Had a nice goodie bag with tea, coffee, biscuits and jam. Was really good value so might be worth just charging more to include the basics fully, wood for fire and super fast WiFi so that it's fully equipped. Overall it was lovely but feel a few easy improvements could be made so that it surpasses expectations. The signal is nearly impossible to get and WiFi was so weak it barely worked. Spent ages trying to get into the pool as the pin pad wasn't working properly. Didn't have enough toilet roll, kitchen roll or dishwasher tablets for 10 ppl for 3 nights so had to buy more. Also logs and charcoal were not included so had to buy that from the shop. There was also quite a bit of mould in one room. .
- Gillian (10/5): Loads of room for 9 people that suited 6 - 70 year old extended family. Very comfortable and warm. - Good location although a lot of narrow roads just like most of the Lake District. Very quiet location and you can walk from the accommodation. Did most walking around the Langdales.
Kids enjoyed the swimming pool which was lovely and warm. Great American fridge/freezer and comfortable cottage. 3 generations had a great holiday. Service was excellent when requested. Some of the cooking pans had no lids. Cooker hood is a head hazard. A crash helmet is advisable!
- Joanne (8/5): Good location - Lovely large cottage
Great facilities
Good location
Laundry facilities
Great private pool Large pot holes on drive in needing attention
No hoover to use
Some damp in cottages in need of attention
- Anonymous (10/5): Winter wonderland - we were there when a foot of snow hit Cumbria - Beautiful, perfect for a family
- Rachel (7/5): Amazing stay and great value for money. - Great facilities with the shop onsite, pool and electric charging points and the cottage is a great size to accommodate the guests. The floors were a little grubby and it didn’t have a vacuum cleaner or broom to keep it clean. The fire was lovely but the settings meant that it was full on or off which made it hard to maintain it.
