Guest Reviews
- Jackie (5/5): Disappointing - Location. Log fire No Christmas decorations, so did not feel like a festive New Year.
When we came in March, there was direct access to Esthwaite which was one of the main reasons for our re-booking, but this access had been blocked off & labelled as ‘Private’.
- Diane (7/5): Weekend in the lakes - The views form the property The fact that you now can’t walk down to the lake like you used to. This has now been blocked off. This was the main reason I stay in these cottages.
- Hetty (8/5): - Great location.
- Simone (2/5): Very disappointing - The property is situated in a lovely rural area. It is a good sized two bed house.
The kitchen is well equipped. Unfortunately the property was filthy. Dust everywhere which seemed it was never hoovered. Curtain ls were grubby. Horrible smell coming from cushions and throws.
The worst part was the infestation of insects inside of the property.
This really ruined our holidays.
The insects appear from under the carpets, under the skirting boards. They are huge beetle like creatures which scared my children, especially at nighttime.
When I brought this to the attention of the management company, I was met with hostility and accusations we were bringing the creatures in.
It was only when I was able to send them a photo they said they would spray the property but it was too late and we were leaving the next day.
I have never written a bad review about any property I have stayed but I would strongly recommend against this place if the management company doesn’t change their attitude, cleaner and tackle the disturbing insect problem
