Guest Reviews
- Ken (8/5): Enjoyable stay in Largs, good location and house was generally comfortable - The location was good, nicely laid out house and comfortable bedrooms Kitchen, bathroom, outside back and front need some attention but I’ll do separate email to Pillow Partners about this in the next couple of days
- Guest (7/5): Excellent location - Location was excellent Over grown gardens
Difficult to get in and out of driveway, bushes overgrown makes it impossible to see traffic
Building needs modernising
Ensuite could do with a shower

- Linzi (8/5): Great value for money, great location but some TLC required - The location was ideal. The sitting rooms and bedrooms have been nicely modernised. Kitchen albeit dated, had all the essentials you need for your stay including tea, coffee sugar, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc. Towels also provided.
Large driveway enough for 4/5 cars. The outside of the property didn't have much kerb appeal which was disappointing as the location and views were amazing. Both front and back garden are in desperate need of some tidying up. The rear patio is covered in weeds, some waist high so is currently unusable. Bathroom and kitchen could do with some modernisation to match the rest of the house.
- John (7/5): very pleasent - great location buitifull views and quiet needs a little maintenance , needs wd40 on the key locks front door very stiff lock and key holder very stiff and hard to open , also could do with some new mattresses , and a general paint up here and there , lovelly place just needs a bit maintenance
- Eileen (5/5): Booked for an essential family trip and wouldn’t stay again. - The views were amazing but that was about it. The garden was an overgrown jungle, the bathroom is in need of modernisation, the bins hadn’t been emptied and were smelly and there was only 1 shower for 8 people. The tv was in the smaller of the 2 lounges where the sofa beds were and the tv unit was too big for the room you couldn’t get In the door very easily. The £168 cleaning charge for the stay was disgraceful since there were cobwebs and spiders everywhere and the dining area was full of woodlice and dead flies. The windows could do with a wash and a general all round lick of paint. This is the worst property I have booked via booking.com
- Janette (7/5): Good - The location and views. Good size house and comfortable beds. Good shower pressure and a warm house. Lovely sitting rooms with brilliant views The kitchen lacked some pots and pans. The dinning area had a broken chair luckily only one of the children sat on it. The rest were wobbly. Lack of bathroom facilities. Six adults and one shower are difficult. One toilet once everyone in their rooms. Second toilet in the main bedroom. The third bedroom bed is not comfortable. . Bath mat disgusting.
- Hamiton (9/5): Really enjoyed the time spent with family -
- Ohara (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location with front line sea views. Very spacious and very clean and benifitted off street parking. The property had everything you would need & the beds were very comfortable. I just couldn't fault it. I would definitely book again and highly recommend it.
- Iain (5/5): Great potential. Sadly lacking. - Lovely sea view
Rooms good size On arrival my heart sank. The outside is shabby with weeds, overgrown bushes and peeling paint.
There has been no effort made with decor inside, a tin of white paint and that’s about it. No welcome pack with house and local information (would have liked to know how to turn the central heating off in the bedroom in august). No coffee machine, a half bottle of cheap vegetable oil, frying pan with no handle,no kitchen paper, one miserable well used tea towel, just all half baked, thrown together and not what is expected in a modern rental. Huge bug bear were the flimsy transparent blinds in all of the bedrooms , which resulted in a fully daylight bright room at 5am. No curtains anywhere. Really disappointed. I wouldn’t return to Njordhame. Great potential poorly executed.
- Donna (8/5): Very good -
- Shilpi (9/5): Superb - Lovely sunrise and sunsets views. Very spacious. Not very modern.
- Breezy (9/5): Superb -
- Janis (7/5): The interior of the property was fine but would I book again? I do t think so given the state of the outdoor areas. We w - The property has been recently decorated and the furniture was new. There was everything we needed although a small touch would be to supply basics like shower gel, tea, coffee, sugar, ice etc. other self catering properties I have used have even supplied a small amount of wine, beef and soft drinks. Our whole experience was spoiled by the unkempt gardens surrounding the property. There were weeds growing through the mono block which was very dirty. The garden was overgrown and the grass was 18 inches high. The property lacked kerb appeal and having driven past the property in April I was tempted to cancel the reservation. The windows to the rear of the property were filthy and there was rubbish (old sandals, a tea shirt and rubbish bags) lying at the back door. The weather was very warm and the experience of sitting outside was spoiled by the overgrown bushes which obstructed the sea view and the terrace area outside the front door which needed a good brush. Some outdoor furniture would have been appreciated.
- Margery (5/5): Glad to leave the place. - Self catering. Location stunning. Dated bathrooms and especially plumbing. Toilet cisterns slow to refill. The upstairs hot tap running when we arrived. Fortunately a very helpful plumber arrived shortly after I phoned the letting agent. Letting agent was also helpful in procuring a vacuum cleaner!? Strange omission in a self catering property. Previous guests had left grill pan with something on it which was difficult to clean. I think that he gutters must need clearing as when it rained heavily there was a lot of water pouring from the right hand side of the gutter. Owner should be aware that this could cause dampness in their property. The bins were in the garage are were full. Again the letting agent arranged for these to be emptied. The rear upstairs bed was uncomfortable.
