- joseph (7/5): not bad/not great.reasonable for money spent, house layout took some getting used too.close to shops - huge space, terrace, good strong shower, huge kitchen and living room, lovely small outdoor area, private apart from suddenly finding a neighbour on the property, watering plants, bent down near front window.well equipped.smelt heavenly.a small private room downstairs didnt use this but it was lovely.good tv.i was worried ,some things were broken and worn ,was afraid theyd think we had done it.flap off a poufe, beads off chair to a dining table etc.bathroom could have done with a better screen,it was abit manky, black pubes allover in bathroom.windows filthy allover, they just steamed up looking at them.needed a thorough bottoming round doors/windows.felt really uncomfy and startled one night, dogs went beserk as noises from below house coming from a really creepy basement downstairs, with a door to the outside, but no lock on its door access leading to the kitchen, its like a 4 storey house but no access to rooms under in basement.just felt like we were being watched.when we arrived there was no instructions for anything,ie, heating water .first night freezing.there was no beds at 4th floor but it was like a study.it had a heater in it portable,so used that and lit fire in living room.quilt was as thin as two sheets put together, had to use one off other bed as well put two together..paint blobs allover in sink in kitchen on chairs and in other rooms like someone quickly touched up .never seen such poor painting in bathroom,/kitchem.it was clear there had been leaks /damage to ceilings .toilet had really crap flush to it.when we arrived the gate was quite akward opening and closing.came home the next night and it fell off totally, quite dangerous really as it dragged one of us over with it,there were stepa in gateway and when it pulled them over they really tripped.wouldnt reccomend for a person with mobility problems and it totally.looked like the gate was patched up from coming away from the old wall previously. sofa was dirty.it was a scandi style retro type thing but cream colour leathery/vynl type.it was worn and it put marks on my white pjs.so i wiped it with a cloth and wished id not started.never seen so much muck on a cloth.the place looks good but theres quite alot could be seen too/altered or cleaner. its quite an odd positioned house.from the kitchen you go out onto a terrace which is on the top of a garage roof.outside the door but theres a terribly steep set of wooden
stairs at the side of the house outside, leading to the back upper kitchen door.and terrace.i have to admit i did trip on
the kitchen step due to mobility problems and i just stopped my self falling head first down those steps.id have a strong gate at the top of there.not good for children.

- Melanie (10/5): Lovely unique property with a lovely welcoming feel to it! Oh an the kitchen is huge and has everything you’d need!! - This property is really special, from the art work all over the house to the mid-century decor to the amazing sight seeing lookout room at the top. Facilities are fantastic, the location is perfect and the real fire 🔥 well that made it for us as it was super cosy. Im struggling to think of anything I didn’t like about the property.

- Claire (10/5): Fabulous stay perfect for Christmas. - Fantastic location. Everything you need for a stay by the sea. Nothing… but as we stayed in the winter we had to gave the heating on most of the time. To make it a bit more snuggly can I suggest some throws/blankets in the living room and some higher tog duvets.
- Brownhill (8/5): Would definetly stay there again - Watched an amazing firework display from the upper room on first night! Mostly clean and tidy, off road parking for two cars.....easy access to the sea front, the castle More cutlery and plates etc and perhaps more coat hangers
- Mandy (8/5): Great house and location is fabulous - Lovely property with parking, outside seating area off the kitchen, couldn’t use lower terrace as dogs not allowed in which is a shame as it’s a nice seating area, the rooms are large and the decor is lovely, didn’t cook as we ate out but kitchen well equipped with everything you would need Dogs not allowed on lower terrace so couldn’t use it as they like to sit with us

- Samantha (8/5): - The house was lovely and warm, fresh smelling and bright and airy. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for our party of 5 and one dog. Stunning views
House well equipped with everything we needed Nothing

- Michael (8/5): Good parking and location, nice local artwork in the property. - Great location, off road parking for two cars, nice view from the top floor, good balcony space and terrace/outside space. Outside space safe for dog to use for toilet. Kitchen could have done with a deep clean as units had food/drink spilt on them on arrival. Mattress in the single bedroom not comfy - springy. The mirror in the front room needs bracketing to the wall as it’s an accident waiting to happen especially if children were to knock it off.
- Andrew (9/5): Excellent location and well equipped property. The hosts were very helpful throughout our stay. - Fantastic location, less than 100 meters from the harbour and plenty of restaurants, shops etc.
Also, had the bonus of parking place, which seems to be quite rare.
The hosts, particularly Louise, were very helpful throughout the whole process.
Would definitely recommend this property. N/A
- Paul (9/5): Fantastic large 3 bed holiday house and brilliant customer service from the owners - Large double fronted 3 bed house with its own driveway. Fantastic location. With stunning views of Scarborough South Bay and very close to the harbour, beach, shops and restaurants.Superb customer service from the owners. Please note, like most houses in this part of Scarborough, the house is on a steep hill, just note for those of less mobility
- Paul (8/5): perfect location for a break - The location of the house is perfect. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bed was really comfy and there is plenty of space. The outside space for a dog is not great but you can take him for plenty of walks around the area. Steep steps to the rear, but the outside needs some attention, as it does not invite you to sit outside.
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - Location, views, comfortable living space and beds, easy parking, well equipped kitchen, WiFi, loved the family games in the chest.
It was very warm and cosy. Would definitely return. Would've liked a bigger dining space, although the kitchen peninsula was good it wasn't easy for family gaming or dining. We didn't use the quieter living space at all so maybe this space could be used. (Although it was a beautiful additional space).
More coat hooks would be handy too.
