• Penrung (4/5): It was not worth the money. - On this trip, we rented four accommodations, each costing about the same amount per night, but this one was twice as expensive. It was the oldest and most uncomfortable room. The bedroom smelled and was very dusty. The small room under the mezzanine made it difficult to sleep. The pillows were of substandard quality. The bathroom was on the first floor, the living room and kitchen were on the second floor, and there was a toilet on the second floor. The third floor had three bedrooms. The washing machine was an old model, and it took almost two hours to dry clothes.

• Hajnalka (8/5): A nice stay in central Kyoto - The accommodation is conveniently located close to Kyoto station and several public transport stations, so we could get to all the city sights easily. As I was travelling with my family, it was important for us to have multiple separate bedrooms in the house. There were three bedrooms and two toilets. The kitchen was very well equipped and modern. The internet connection and floor heating in the living room was great and we had everything we needed for our stay, overall it was good value for money. The check-in process was very smooth and the host communicated with us throughout our stay. The house could use some renovation; although we enjoyed staying in a traditional home, the wall paint and some of the equipment looked old (like the air conditioner in one of the rooms that we needed to use for heating). Please note that the bedrooms are on a different floor than any of the toilets, and they are two floors above the bathroom - this didn't bother us, but someone with difficulty with movement should consider it. A few hooks for bathing towels could be added to the bathroom as well. We visited in cold weather and some of the windows couldn't be closed fully or they were letting in cold air (the house has air conditioning for heating though).

• Sara (10/5): Great Japanese house in Kyoto. - Japanese stile house equipped with everything you need to spend a few days in Kyoto. 10min walk to Tokyo station and main attractions. The staff was very kind and helpful. Fully recommended.
