• Patrícia (8/5): Excelente localização para visitar a bonita e alegre cidade de Hue. - Excelente localização para visitar a cidade. Apesar de estar junto ao café ChocoHouse o ambiente é calmo, pois o café fecha relativamente cedo (9,30pm). Acabou por se revelar uma vantagem pois os smoothies, sumos e yogurt com fruta são deliciosos :) O quarto é bastante grande e a casa de banho também. Muito cómodo. O acesso aos quartos é através da entrada do café e é necessário subir escadas.

• Lisa (9/5): Great Hue location. Bonus chocolate to keep you going - Incredible location. Clean and simple room that had everything we needed. Wonderful staff that were super helpful with great suggestions. Great coffee/chocolate. Breakfast wasn’t included (be great to charge a bit and provide it). And It can get pretty noisy (our room was just off the cafe so whatever is going on echoed and was amplified straight into our room). Additionally the window of our room opened to a beautiful Catholic Church courtyard … that also rang bells, hosted chorus gatherings that permeated our room. Haha - maybe just a Buddhist lesson in staying thankful and present to what is?!

• Cornelia (10/5): Perfect stay! - Just three rooms upstairs from a coffee shop that serves the best chocolate! Make sure to have contact with the property before check in though because there is no specific reception for the hotel part. You go to the cashier for the cafe. The room has very nice decor, is clean and new. We got the room with the view of the church next door and it was gorgeous. Great tips around town from the owner who helped us book tours and gave us ideas where to eat. Nothing.
• Kate (8/5): Comfortable stay, just a little noisy - Room was just as pictured, lovely and the bed was very comfortable, shower was hot and clean. The location was great and had everything you needed. Only down side was that there was noise downstairs in the mornings due to it being in the Choco House cafe and it seemed as though a school or something was nearby as there was a loud noise very early in the morning like a bell/drum. They had a smart TV in the room but none of the apps work just an FYI!

• Joebin (8/5): Good service - Extremely good service – they helped us book train and bus tickets. It’s in a great location and the room was clean and modern. The only downsides were that the bathroom got completely flooded when showering, making it extremely slippery, and the room is located next to their café, where music starts playing from 7 AM. Of course, it’s not a problem to combine a café with accommodation, but it would be nice if one respected the other. For example, maybe lower the volume of the music a bit and be more gentle with the kitchenware.
• Lara-marie (9/5): Lovely stay & good coffee - Lovely place to stay close to key attractions. Room is spacious with a small balcony looking out to the church. The staff were very friendly and you couldn’t hear any noise from the café next door! The bathroom gets quite wet and a bit smelly when showering — a common phenomenon in Vietnam.
• Badani (7/5): The staff was very helpful and the location of the place in central. - It is quite centrally located and walking distance to explore the perfume river and night markets. Staff even assisted with booking a ride to Da Nang.
• Nina (10/5): Exceptional - I was most impressed by the genuine attentiveness of the staff. When I checked in Ngoc Tran made sure to let me know that they offer a laundry service, the staffed hours and how to access the building after hours. She gave me her contact info and took extra time to ensure I had a copy of essential local info that's provided to all guests. The digital guide has recommended restaurants and sites of interest all pinned on a Google map. It was this incredible dedication to guest's needs that saved my holiday. I had left it too late to book a tour of tombs and monuments outside the city, but she was able to call her local contacts and have me join a tour already in progress. I had seen the Imperial City the day before so a minibus took me to join the group as they left there and headed for the tombs. I was beyond impressed with her capability. Absolutely nothing! This place is outstanding in every aspect.

The bathroom was somewhat lacking. When we arrived it was filled with mosquitoes - the hotel staff provided bug spray to aid our massacre. Also the shower drainage was quite poor, meaning you had to have short showers or flood the bathroom.

• Alberto (9/5): Superb - The room was very clean and had everything you need for a short stay. The bed was comfortable and good quality umbrellas for you to use, which for us was very handy. Staff was kind and very responsive Warm water does not last for too long, but there is enough for two showers. There is no specific space where to leave the luggage after check out. They offered us to leave our backpacks close to the coffee counter all day long, which for us was good enough.

• Amelia (10/5): Exceptional - Such a sleek and modern property! Was clean when we arrived. Nice view outside and was a great location. The staff were lovely and answered any questions quickly, they also let us store our bags during the day. The property was fab, the only thing was the Aircon wasn't as powerful as hoped, but it was cold, so just adjust the settings and you'll be fine!

The room was great: clean, soft bed, dark curtains, and fresh water everyday. It only got a little bit noisy in the morning when the caffee got customers and the rooms are in front and above the restaurant. Very clean comfortable and staff who go above and beyond to make your trip memorable- including a full directory of things to do, places to eat and maps attached. Do not hesitate to book this absolute gem! I just wished I’d booked more nights here!

• Perot-marconie (6/5): Not a home stay, not what we expected. - Nice large room. This is not a home stay but simply three rooms above a chocolate shop and cafe. Quite noisy from the cafe business which is on the same level as one of the room. The staff is lovely, but many of them had no clue we were guests of the home stay and were not very knowledgeable about available services.

It was clean, peaceful, well located and the staff was beyond nice. Nothing really, it was perfect for me and my family.

The AC is too weak, this is serious I don't know if it's because the room is spacious or the AC is not cleaned. No wardrobe, little space to hang our clothes and used towels

The staff was very attentive and took care of our every need (from organizing transport and tours to serving late night desserts - they have a great selection of chocolate and coffee beverages) The room we were in is a bit noisy due to its vicinity to the kitchen of in-house cafeteria.

• Joanna (10/5): Gorgeous place to stay in little chocolate cafe - We loved our stay at ChocoHouse, rooms hidden within a lovely chocolate cafe with delicious drinks. Clean and spacious. The owner was so warm and helpful. She sent us an incredible google map of pins for things to do, places to eat and helpful amenities. As Hue is so hot it would have been amazing to have a pool but not essential. Breakfast or a drink weren’t included.
• Sandra (8/5): Practical place to stay, comfortable room, good location - Large room, newly decorated with balcony overlooking a temple. This was very comfortable. Room is above a coffee shop but not noisy. You can buy coffee/chocolate from the shop downstairs as breakfast is not provided. Good area to be based in. Access to room is by steep staircase. Property seems to have 2 rooms, and be careful not to miss it as it is easy to go past.

Will definitely stay here again next time we're in Hue. Thanks to all the staff for being so accommodating. Also, all of the coffees and chocolate are brilliant! No complaints, everything was perfect.

The room was as perfect as advertised, it was clean, the property is super well located and it offers everything you need for your stay in Hue (plus the great cafè…Dont miss the egg or salted coffee or the pancake 😉) Quyen is a fantastic host. She helped us with everything we needed. Also arranged a driver for us and provided a super well designed document with all info we needed for our stay in the city. I can’t recommend ChocoHouse enough. I would definitely stay here again if I go back to Hue. Keep up the amazing work guys and thanks for hosting us brilliantly. We definitely felt at home 🫶
