• Matthew (7/5): Great location and view. - Great location and very spacious. The shop across the bridge was very helpful and convenient. The view from the balcony was perfect. The lack of hot water. It didn’t last very long. It could do with a little updating and be cleaner.

• Susanne (7/5): Gute Lage, Zustand der Wohnung dürftig - Die Lage ist gut, man kann alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichen. Die getrennte Toilette im zweiten Schlafzimmer ist praktisch. Die Möbel sind abgenutzt. Es gibt kaum Besteck und das Geschirr im Schrank war dreckig. Die Bäder sind kleine Einbauschränke in den Schlafzimmern und bieten kaum Privatsphäre.
• Timothy (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay here and wish it had been for longer. The apartment had everything we needed and was very comfortable; there was plenty of space for three people. It was located in an ideal location and the area itself is stunning; you're essentially right there by a canal and overlooking a bridge. You can observe the city as it wakes up! It's worth noting that there's a supermarket really close by for supplies. Everything was great.

Agréable vue sur le canal et le pont corte nova il est tranquille en hiver … Facile d’accès Dommage que cet établissement n’est pas entretenu correctement Ce petit appartement pourrait être un vrai havre de repos si tout était soigné réparé voir changer … -Le frigo qui congèle -Les étagères à l’intérieur toutes cassées -micro ondes sale enfermé dans un placard avec porte qui s’ouvre à l’envers ( pas pratique) -Literie médiocre; draps et oreillers et très poussiéreux non conformes aux normes de l’hôtellerie -La lunette du wc cassée depuis longtemps ! -L’espèce d’abreuvoir pour lavabo est tout rouillé c’est le pire ! Pas d’étagères stables pour poser brosse à dents etc… Un filet d’eau chaude coule dans la douche Et La porte de l’immeuble a été forcée et donc ne ferme plus !

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Nichts zu beanstanden.

• Paula (4/5): Cidade ótima, apartamento decepcionante. - Apartamento amplo e limpo O apartamento tem dois quartos mas o banheiro fica dentro de um dos quartos o que acaba com qualquer privacidade entre os hóspedes. Além disso, na entrada principal tinham vários sacos de lixo do prédio inteiro, com cheiro muito forte. Também tivemos que retirar o lixo do ambiente embora a taxa municipal seja a mais alta da Itália. A localização fica uns 25 min dos principais pontos turísticos.
• William (8/5): Nice time in Venice - The flat located 1 level up, is reasonably large, it is provisioned with almost everything you need. There is a full grocery store right across, about a 1 minute walk. The store has everything, don't let the entrance fool you. It is a reasonably peaceful area, with only the noise from a passing boat now and then. The flat is a little dirty in the usual places. The main problem I had was the garbage. There is a notice posted stating that you must take out the garbage at 8:30 or you will be fined. The problem is it doesn't tell you there is no garbage service on Sunday. There is someone who precedes the trash pick up, they tear open the rubbish bag and dump it everywhere. This happened every time I took out the trash.

• Irina Spiru (10/5): Wonderful apartment in the perfect location, with a charming canal view - We stayed at Citadelle apartments during our trip to Venice, and everything was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Venice, making it very convenient for visiting all the major attractions. You can walk everywhere easily. The apartment itself is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and extremely comfortable for two families or a small group. I was staying alone, and my friend was with her daughter. The two bedrooms are separated by a large open-plan living area that includes both the living room and the kitchen, which gave us plenty of space, privacy, and comfort. The beds are very comfortable, and the whole apartment feels warm and welcoming. There is also a well-stocked supermarket just a few steps from the apartment — not a small one, but a proper, large market where you can find everything you need. This was incredibly convenient and made our stay even easier. One of the highlights is the view — the apartment is located right on a canal, offering a lovely and authentic Venetian atmosphere. We truly enjoyed the aesthetics and the charm of the place. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay and highly recommend Citadelle to anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable home in Venice. Nothing

• Max Czernin (10/5): Nettes Apartment in ruhiger, zentraler Lage - Ein nettes Apartment in dem man gut als Kleinfamilie wohnen kann. Die Lage ist sehr gut, nahe von San Marco und dennoch abseits der Touristenströme in einem ruhigen Viertel. Die Kommunikation mit Carlo war sehr freundlich und informativ.

We really enjoyed the beautiful view, and the kids loved watching all the gondolas passing by. Everything was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed.

Far enough from the hectic tourist areas but close enough to access all sites on foot & by water taxi. I felt the apartment could have been presented a bit cleaner.

• Audrey (9/5): - Location was perfect, about 10min walk to Doge Palace. Beautifil streets. Quite at night and so handy with a shop over the bridge on the corner with everything you would need. Apartment was a good size, very comfortable and bright.
• Marek (9/5): určite odporúčam, ja osobne by som sa tu ubytoval znovu. - Super poloha, mierne kľudnejšie miesto 5min chôdze od rušnejšieho centra. Avšak všetko potrebné je úplne dostupné, aj reštaurácie, aj obchod z potravinami či lekáreň bola naozaj blízko ubytovania. Balkón s výhľadom bol super. Cez okná bolo počuť ruch z vonku, hlavne v noci keď prešla loď, ktorá mala pustenú hlasitú hudbu.

Beds were a little too soft and bathrooms a little dated but that is a minor detail as all were clean and functional.
• Carole (9/5): Superb - We loved that the apartment was close to the vaporetto and grand canal but in a quiet residential area with an excellent supermarket over the bridge. The balcony kept our children (aged 6 & 7) entertained, they loved people and boat watching. We weren't bothered by noise in evenings/mornings as some people have mentioned. The apartment itself was spacious and airy and we appreciated the efficient air con as it was unbearably hot outside. The apartment had everything we needed for a couple of nights. It was traditional, clean and comfortable and exactly as shown in the photos. Everything worked perfectly (the light switch for the 2nd toilet is located beside the external sink). We handed our rubbish to the refuse collection workers before checking out. Carlo was a great host and provided detailed check in instructions. Thank you, we highly recommend and we are so glad we stayed here and not in hotel room.

• Daniel (10/5): Perfect location - Location was excellent!!! Only around 10 minutes to Piazza San Marco, close to water bus station, little supermarket around the corner was very handy too. It was so close to all main attractions, we had 10 year old and 3 year old with us and it was so close and easy to get everywhere. What we really liked as well was little balcony, where our kids were watching all boats passing through, which was fantastic ☺️ The owner of the apartment was very accommodating too, gave us handy information how to travel to location from the airport and communication was really easy. Thank you for everything, we liked it so much. Everything was perfect 👌

• Tricia (10/5): Beautiful stay in Venice - The property was perfect and in a quiet part of town. Two bedrooms, a kitchen and a lovely view of the canal. The beds were comfortable. Carlo was a perfect host and gave very explicit directions for how to find the apartment. He arranged a water taxi to the train station when we sadly had to leave. The only thing I was confused about was where we were supposed to leave the trash. One instruction said to leave it out by the door, but then another instruction said the trash man was going to ring the bell. I wasn’t sure if we could leave it out the night before, as we were not awake at 8am.

We especially enjoyed the balcony overlooking the canal. The host, Carlo, was very helpful and welcoming. He gave us detailed information on how to do the self check-in and made it super easy. Great location, close to all the sights!
• Neil (8/5): A basic apartment but in a great location - A great location beside a canal busy with working boats. Communication about how to access the apartment was good. It was handy having a local supermarket close at hand. The beds were comfortable and the wifi was good. The apartment was a bit dusty and there were zero supplies and few facilities in the kitchen compared to other places we have stayed. Having to work out how to dispose of the rubbish was also a bit of a hassle.
• Joseph (1/5): We would very much appreciate a full refund - Extremely bad location and very very hard to find. We asked at least six people and no one knew where it was. We are four senior citizens and it took us about three hours to find it and another half an hour to get to open the lock box. We are 100% unsatisfied and not happy and we all agree that we should get a full refund of the charges. The worst experience we ever had with a stay like this. By the time we found the place we all were out of energy and could not enjoy the day and did not visit the beauty of Venice. All four of us were too exhausted to go anywhere. Completely disappointed.

• Kevin (9/5): Location, Location, Location! - Location was excellent!! We loved being tucked away from the tourist areas. We even had a little local market right across the canal with easy access over a bridge. The second bedroom sink area is a bit tight and lighting is not the best for doing hair & makeup. Other than that, the apartment is a great size.

It was very nice to watch the everyone life of the locals from the balcony.The boats on the canal were nice to see. There was the supermarket across the street. Only one floor to rise to the apartment. The map made easy to find it and the key codes were clear. The place was quiet, but only 400 meters from the vaporetto stop. Messages with Carlos went well. Here you can see local life, but all sights are near. :). A small minus was the slightly worn furnitures.

• Žydrūnė (8/5): Tikėjomės geriau - Location was perfect. Supermarket next to the apartment. Beds was very comfortable. We asked the owner for extra blankets, we didn't get any. The lid of one toilet was broken, and the flush mechanism of the other barely worked. There were no extra garbage bags, we had to buy them. The apartment is right next to a very noisy street-river. The air conditioner is only in the kitchen, so the bedrooms are barely cooler.

The apartment was well equipped! It was close to a super market and other amenities. It was surprisingly quiet at night being so close to the canal. The proprietor was helpful in providing answers to questions such as where to store luggage in Venice. It was great to have access to a washing machine! A clothesline or clothes horse would have been even better! The air conditioner cooled the kitchen and central area well but not the bedrooms. Overall the apartment needs a deep clean especially the bathrooms! Toilet seat in front bedroom was broken according to the couple who stayed there. As well the bed in the front bedroom not as comfortable as master bedroom!

Appreciated Carlo's communication. - The balcony over the canal was very romantic To me, having access to a balcony is huge for this price. This was our 2nd time to Venice, and this time, it was attractive to us to have the balcony where you can sit outside over the canal. Loved the furnishings and the second room for space as our 2 teenage kids were with us. I liked having the store so close by. Carlo was very responsive and helpful-gave us recommendations too! We went to the Museo Correr for the view of St. Mark's square and ended up deciding to pay to go to into the Museum and glad we did. Would have loved to have access to nice cup of coffee/cappuccino. To be fair, there were 2 machines in the cabinet above, but was not sure if they worked and because they were in the cabinet, was not certain they were meant to be used. We were short on time too, so there's that. While location was a bit far from Santa Lucia train station (30 min walk and recommend using a water taxi/shuttle to St Marks sq), only 6 min walk to St Mark's square, which was nice. We took a water taxi back to train station-easier than walking, only cost $9 and was 45 min ride.

• Eric (8/5): the place was great it was right on a canal giving you an experience of local life in Venice. - location was great away from all of the very crowded parts of venice - gave you of feeling of being a local expected the place to be an apartment complex vs just one apartment named the citadelle - at first, not if we were in the right place until we read the small plaque by the apartment door. Charles' directions though were spot on as to accessing the apartment.

The balcony was great. It was so much fun watching the boats go by. Carlo is excellent to work with. We are Americans and he was right on top of everything. I would definitely recommend it for the authentic experience.

• Łukasz (9/5): Amazing place - The location of the apartment is one of its greatests advantages. A little balkony over the canal is a perfect place for a morning coffee and glass of wine in the evening. The canal is quite buissy and can be loud at times, but it gives great flavour of Venice life.

• Pavel (9/5): Beautiful apartment with a canal view. - Beautiful apartment with a canal view. It's a bit far from the train station, but not far from all the things you want to see in the city. The kitchen has enough facilities for cooking, the apartment was clean. There is a small store right in front of the apartment, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. The host was helpful and friendly It's quite noisy in the smaller room in the night / early in the morning. However, it's fixable. As there is a supermarket right in front of the window, there were some noisy boats in the night, and people were delivering products to the store, which made a lot of noise. Closing the window didn't help. However, we figured out that there some kind of external windows that can also be closed, and they reduce the noise in the night. I suggest using them. Also, for me it was a disadvantage that the toilets are inside the bedrooms. If you're traveling as 2 couples, all the noises you make in a toilet will be heard in the bedrooms. Also, the sink in the smaller room barely drain.
• Richard (5/5): Avoid this property - possible electrical risk. - The rusty chairs on the balcony where we could watch the taxis and delivery boats. When it rained water came through the ceiling dripped onto the bedside light switch and ran down the wall into the elecetric socket. The coffee maker did not work. Both the above were notified to the owner who did nothing.

• Xeniya (9/5): Very nice apartment for a Venetian getaway. - The location is perfect. Super nice balcony overlooking the channel. Easy to find and get in. Perfect for two couples or a family. Carlo is very nice and responsive. The apartment is clean and has all necessary things to have breakfast f.e. The air conditioning is only in the main zone between two bedrooms, so it gets quite hot during the night if you do not cool the apartment during the day. The city tax is not included in the price! Remember that you need to pay extra 4€ pp per night before checking out.
