Guest Reviews
- Martha (8/5): -
- Nigel (10/5): - Good location for the rail ale beer festival.
Clean and tidy and great parking. Nothing.
- greg (1/5): Garbage leave well alone - Nothing Noisy pot hole outside constantly run over by cars on a busy rd
Utensils and plates very dirty
Had to sleep in kitchen woken 5.30am by neighbours revving a very loud motorbike and dragging bins around
Parking a bit if a joke lots of others car taking spaces despite signs
Electric box door was laid in rd
No hot water unless heating was on
Terrible mobile phone reception on EE
Extremely dirty toaster mismatch of utensils scruffy plates and windows neighbours searchlight directed at the flat
Would never even if free for a year use this place again

- agne (8/5): - Great place, clean, everything you need, close to peak district, parking is close by which is always a plus. Good value for money too.
- Da Silva (8/5): - Logement très sympa et très propre Il n'avait pas de drap pour le canapé lit !!!
- Jaimie (7/5): -
- Danny (8/5): -
- karan (8/5): - It was clean tidy lacking on forks (there wrre only 2 )
Bed was comfortable No garden or secure area for the dog to go out at night or to sit outside in safty
- Stephanie (7/5): - It was very nice Nothing
- Puri (8/5): -
- Davis (10/5): - Lovely place to stay
- Ryan (6/5): Lovely place but needs a deep clean - Location was good and was perfect for our 1 night stay as a family. Area is quiet as well. Needs a very good deep clean, marks on the walls, big cobwebs in the kitchen area. The floor was sticky and when I washed my child’s feet in the shower they were black
- ALEXANDRA (8/5): - Ease of keys Parking was difficult
- Damitha Jayasinghe (4/5): Disappointed - Overall, the accommodation was good, however, I was a bit concerned about the hygiene level. The toaster appeared as if it had never been cleaned, and the sponge provided seemed used and dirty. The hand wash was less than half full, and there were various random items left around the accommodation, which made the place feel disorganised.
Additionally, the bedroom is located right next to the street, making it almost impossible to get a good night’s sleep due to the noise.
This place may be suitable for a one-night stay, but if you are looking for a comfortable accommodation for multiple nights, I would not recommend

- Systems 4 Fitness (1/5): Nesbitts and council estate attitude - Absolutely nothing, the attitude and unprecedented behaviour on the phone was a complete shock.
The property is in disrepair, a terrible place and is a disgusting place to stay. PlsPls cancel with booking.com and I will pass your refund. Please put key back in lock box and leave property.
This is the message that the owner sent me, this is more proof that they are liars and not good hosts.
Do not stop there..
After the message they decided not to honour there agreement and did not reimburse my fee.
It's obvious that they need the money because they don't have any money..

- Tracey (10/5): - Bed was super comfy
Lovely and warm.
- Brian (10/5): excellent accommodation clean well equipped everything we needed for our stay -
- Joanna (9/5): Great accommodation, very clean with ample facilities. - Very clean, with good facilities and parking in a convenient and quiet location. Not keen on having to strip the bed after a stay, have never been expected to do this anywhere else.
- Jonathan (10/5): -
- Kirsty T (9/5): 2nd time we've stayed and was great again. - I like how easy it was to find, spacious and bed was comfortable. Nothing
- Adrian (10/5): -
- Shaun (9/5): -
- Shaw (10/5): - Beautiful flat. Would most definitely stay there again 😀 Couldn't get the TV working
- Alison (10/5): Perfect location near to my son’s house. Had everything I needed, and extremely comfortable bed meant I had an excellen - Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed - plenty of room, good facilities in kitchen (spotlessly clean kettle!!). They allowed me to bring dogs which was fantastic. Very little - I suppose no ‘view’ from windows but for my purposes this was irrelevant
- Kristel (10/5): - It was just what we needed spotless too :)
- Alex Polici (10/5): -
- Sara (10/5): -
- Shaun (7/5): - Easy to book and clean tidy and comfy Bit cold couldn't see how to turn the heating up a little but apart from that great
- Lee S (10/5): Great Flat in an Excellent Location near Bolsover and the Peak District - Excellent flat in Staveley in a great location for visiting Bolsover Castle or the Peak District.
The flat is ideal for a couple or small family, with a double bedroom and then a sofa bed in the living room.
The owner Stephen was great with communication. Easy check in from a lockbox. We'll definitely be back again when visiting family in Bolsover.
- Rebecca (8/5): Perfect and comfortable for what we needed! - We liked that it had enough room for our little family (2 adults, a 4 year old and a 1 year old). Us adults slept on the pull out sofa bed in the living space and let our children have the bedroom so that we could relax, shower and watch the TV in the evenings. Our 1 year old slept on his day bed at the side of the double bed in the bedroom (where our 4 year old slept) and it fit nice and snugly. Apartment was nice and modern and has everything you need. It could have been cleaned to a higher standard - there was dust behind the bed and on the skirting boards, the floor could do with a good hot mop with bleach and there were marks/smears on the mirror in the bedroom and the windows. However, overall it was clean ‘enough’ and this could be a fault with the cleaning company rather than the host. The bedding was nice and clean when we arrived. Check in process was easy and it was great that there is a designated parking space for the apartment across the road.
- Julie (10/5): -
- Imogen (8/5): - Flat was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable, able to stay with our dogs
- Amanda (9/5): Very enjoyable - Very good value for money good facilities and free parking No bath plug otherwise excellent
- Ellis (10/5): -
- Megan (9/5): Good - It’s good value for money, the parking is easy so no stress whatsoever
The bed is comfortable
Kitchen has all the things you need (utensils, cutlery)
Check in was easy with the keys being inside the lock box My only complaint is the bathroom needs a little bit more cleaning, there was a fair amount of dirt around the seal in the shower
- Andrzej (8/5): Nice short stay, would recommend - The apartment has everything you need for short stay, it's close proximity to shop/takeaways etc all there. Better value than local hotels. Nice comfy bed and the sofa. Smell of cigarettes in the apartment, damp patches around the entrance door, bathroom door not closing, noisy street where the block is.
Due to how hot it was that day- we tried to sleep with the window open-very difficult.
- Heather (10/5): Short and sweet - Great price, nice and clean. Very close to a petrol station and supermarket, nice quiet street. We came from Scotland to attend Download festival and had a great time! Nice and easy to get to and from donington park. Bed was incredibly comfortable! My only minor complaint is that the property was absolutely roasting hot (the host isn’t in charge of the weather) may be worthwhile purchasing a fan for the warmer weather as it was difficult to sleep in. I also left one of my favourite socks by accident so if anyone would like to post it to me I’d be happy to cover the postage. Overall great experience and would definitely return!
- Graham (8/5): Very good - It was an ideal night before stopover for a funeral in Bolsover. The accommodation was very clean. Considering so much else had been considerately provided it was a surprise that there was no hand soap. The shower fixing was only very loosely attached to the wall - it was adequate but not ideal. Requires attention.
- Emma (9/5): Clean, plenty of space for 3 people and a dog. Comfy beds and kitchen had everything you needed. - Great location for what we needed. Clean. Comfy beds. Had everything you needed for a self catering break.
- Helen (7/5): Would be a gem of a place if the one issue was sorted. - Really comfy bed, good parking, easy to find. Excellent value for money. Strong smell of stale cigarette smoke lingering in the property. Would put me off booking again.
- Tara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and perfect for a night stay, bed very comfortable, would stay there again
- Russell (8/5): Very good -
- Lauren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (4/5): Will not be rushing back - Parking nearby, keys were ready in a lock boxes made check in easier. Towels were also provided. It smelt like weed when we walked in and the bedroom was even worse it was if someone had smoked one in the room. We had to spray the whole place and air it out as the smell was awful!
The sofa bed was so hard and uncomfortable and only a small blanket was available not a duvet considering it’s meant to be for 2 people to sleep on the blanket wasn’t big enough. Probably the worst sofa bed I’ve slept on.
- Beata (8/5): Comfortable stay - The property offers all necessities needed during short stays. Specious kitchen -dining- living room with a pull out sofa bed, good-sized bedroom, and a bathroom with a bath helped us to feel comfortable and promoted a good rest after long hikes in the Peaks. N/A
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Leon (9/5): Superb -
- Kar (9/5): Superb -
- Madeleine (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable and clean. N/A

- Beata (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashley (10/5): Exceptional - How clean and felt like a home away from home, would definitely come back and stay again Wasn't anything to dislike.
- Beata (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (10/5): Nicer than expected - Absolutely spot on for our requirements, we would use again if in the area. We had a nice relaxing evening in comfort. Milk to make a cuppa would be nice, road noise due to loose manhole in the road outside
- Jessica (10/5): Our stay was comfortable clean and Amazing - It had everything we needed for our stay It could of done with a few more utensils like a wooden spoon etc
- Beech (9/5): Superb - Great communication. Facilities met and exceeded our expectations. Lovely sized, fully stocked apartment.
- Beth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josie (10/5): Cozy well equipped homely - It was lovely very well equipped cozy clean loved it
It’s a great base for the area it really was a home from home Nothing
- England-riddell (10/5): Perfect Place to stay - Have stayed here more than once. Very clean, great facilities and only a 2 minute drive from event we were attending.
- Pat (7/5): Good -
- Adele (7/5): Good -
- Newsum (5/5): Honestly - The location is nice, I like the people in the area. Unfortunately it was very cold, no plug in the bath so couldn't have a bath, quite a weak shower, the towels were awful, not sure thay have ever been washed, we had to wash the cutlery and oven trays befor use as thay still had food on them, people from the neighbouring apartments were very noisy and coming and going at all hours, and I had 3 messages from the morning of the day befor we left and through the day telling me we must be out by 10 am at the latest, also asking us to empty the bins and such, now I allways leave a place clean and tidy but I felt like we were being used to do the cleaners jobs, bins in particular that's the cleaners job surely, I also felt very rushed to leave, I did reply to all 3 messages telling us to leave, I was nice and polite, oh and no lock on the bathroom door also it doesn't even latch. So all in all not really impressed I'm afraid.
- Muir (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bobbie (10/5): Brilliant - Everything Nothing
- Vicky (8/5): Very good - It was just where we needed to be. There was the basics of what was needed The parking is a bit tight to get in and out of. someone had removed one of the wooden posts which made it slightly easier. If I had been staying longer I would have liked a washing machine to ba available.
- Lj (5/5): Passable -
- Claire (8/5): Clean & comfy - very clean. Well equipped kitchen. Bonus of a bath as well as a shower. Great private parking TV was rubbish as we didn't know how to work the fire stick. Could have logged in to streaming, but just seemed a hassle for a couple of hours telly
- Anita (6/5): Pleasant - clean and good location key lock difficult to open. tried to call and email contact details for property. heard back at 7am next morning! Then got a rather abrupt email about getting out as cleaner was coming at 10.
freezing cold on arrival dispite it saying on sheet in house they control temp remotly and do not touch boiler.
TV remote ok button did not work so could not select anything on the telly to watch
- Charlie (10/5): lovley little bnb would recommend 10/10 - everything was lovley it smelt amazing when i first arrived and my partner loved it too the hot water in the bath wasnt working and dint knowbhow to get it to work but other than that it was all good
- Beaversintheshire (8/5): Very good -
- Dennis (10/5): An enjoyable stay. Far better than staying in a plastic hotel! - Excellent apartment, good facilities and a good location. Good supermarket and food outlets nearby
Easy reach of motorway and Peak District.
Will certainly stay here again.
- Caro (7/5): A good basic place for a short stay - The place was very clean and it was equipped with all the basics. The main room was spacious. Large fridge freezer. Towels were soft. The bedroom was noisy - there was a ironwork in the road just outside that clacked loudly every time a car went past - and it turned out that the road was quite a main one from the estate nearby, so lots of traffic, including lorries from 5am. Definitely an ear-plugs job unless you're a heavy sleeper.
We could have done with some actual chairs rather than fold-up ones to sit comfortably at the table. The main room lacked a side light or standard lamp, so you had to have the overhead light on all the time, which made it a bit glaring and difficult to watch TV. Also difficult to sleep in (my daughter was on the sofa bed) as you had to get up to turn off the light.
There was a musty smell which we both thought was someone smoking there in the past - so a plug in air freshener might be advisable.
- Caroline (8/5): Great for exploring the area. - Really good value. Clean and tidy. Nothing
- Rob (7/5): Really good price, clean and good amenities - Location is good. corner shop a walk away. Sainsbury’s a car drive away. Kitchen had a good amount of utensils to cook a meal with. Living room has lots of space and the flat was, for the most part, relatively quiet. Car parked in the designated car parking spot. Thankfully, there was room to park elsewhere in the private car park which the Host said was ok and apologised for.
Upstairs flat playing music at 10pm kept walking my daughter up, but they stopped after banging the ceiling. There’s also a dog nearby that barks late into the night.
No lock on the bathroom door means if you’re staying with a friend on the sofa bed, you have to make it very clear that you’re in the bathroom.
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional - Middlecroft was handy for our stay to visit family with our dog. It was clean and had self catering facilities which was handy for us. There is a Morrisons in walking distance and plenty of places nearby to walk the dog. We will be back.
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (9/5): Superb - Lovely place to stay all round great communication from the host and parking was brilliant ! Nothing
- Marion (8/5): Very good -
- Tracie (8/5): Apart from not being able to have a hot drink when arriving home after a night out - Location good There was no complementary milk so could have a cup of tea or coffee at night or in the morning has we was only staying overnight because we came for a family hen party
- Collier (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dee (10/5): Wonderful stay, everything you could need, no bad points. - Location was great and nice to have private space and somewhere to park the car. Dog friendly, my boy had the best first few days away. Clean, great shower. Great location if you want to do plenty of walking. Local shops within walking distance. All amenities. The grammar on the notes left by the host. There’s nothing else to not like 👍🏼
- Shelley (10/5): Great value, great stay - It's was great value and perfect for us for a one-night stop over. Nothing
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Nice relaxed no-frills stay.
- Khilan (1/5): Rude host, poor customer service, ok flat - Thorough check in instructions provided beforehand It was disappointing that even though we booked a flat for 4 people there were only 3 sleeping spaces (2 on the bed and 1 on the sofa). The sofa bed supposedly advertised wasn't functioning which meant that one of us had to sleep on the floor. Upon contacting the host, he had a very aggressive attitude and blamed us for not informing him at the time (even though he knew we were arriving in the middle of the night after a late flight).
There are passive aggressive notes all over the flat which should have been a clue as to the type of service we would receive. We understand that things don't always go according to plan, but the way the sofa bed situation was dealt with was so disappointing as we had to deal with this on top of a poor night's sleep.
The area is very residential with nothing around. Seems like there is also some tension 2ith local residents and the use of the flat as a short term let, as there were remarks made towards the ladies in our group by what we presume were neighbours. It felt very uncomfortable.
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Shaun (8/5): Very good -
- Jo (8/5): A very comfortable night stay - Clean , WiFi,Netflix etc available , good value The location
- Watson (10/5): Lovely place, very clean and tidy. Really happy with the place - Loved how modern it looked. Nothing
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and tidy, good communication with the owner. Nothing to report
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - This was much more ideal for us rather than a hotel room as we have a 1yo, which meant once in bed we could watch TV, chat without waking her. Good communication with the owner, had everything we needed for our 2 night stay, was clean and comfortable. Will definitely consider it next time we visit family.
