Guest Reviews
- Richard (10/5): Perfecte plek - Compleet uitgerust -
- Anna (7/5): Pleasant stay - Great location, enough space for comfortable stay for two people. The email said there was a coffee machine - there was none and even if there was, there was not enough coffee which both were mentioned in the welcoming email (so may need updating). The standing lamp in the living room was missing a bulb (which was not ideal when you wanted to read on the sofa). The light by the bed had broken lightbulb that needs replacing. The place could also use some hooks for the jackets in the corridor.
- Gregory (9/5): Great location as a base to visit Scotland in the Edinburgh-Stirling-St. Andrews areas. - Dish soap and shampoo/body wash was in very short supply. Also, as someone who prepared meals every day, some of the pots and pans desperately needed cleaning. Otherwise, my stay at the property was wonderful!
- Alan (8/5): A perfectly comfortable apartment which we stayed in for a fortnight. Has everything you need for a short or long stay. - The bedroom is a great size and was nice and dark and very quiet at night for sleeping.
- Reinhard (8/5): All goodies - Lots of space. All the what you need. Some stuff could have been a bit cleaner.
I did not get the door code via text or email but the landlord would not believe me.
- Victor (9/5): -
- John (8/5): Comfy and did the job - Jaymar is comfy and well equipped. Dedicated parking space. TV too high on the wall. Noisy boiler in the living/kitchen space.
- Stephen (10/5): No complaints - Can’t fault
Was Exellent
- Zeev (10/5): - In the very center and close to the beach. Very well equipped. Comfortable sheets and bedding. Good sized and appointed. Parking is right at the entrance. Good shower water pressure and controls. Large conveniently located Smart tv
- Mark (8/5): - The communication from the host's was good, the keybox was easy to find, it was in a great location as Burntisland sea front was a couple of hundred meters from the property
Facility's in the property were good and the bed was very comfy cleanliness could have been better, there was Urine on the toilet rim & a dirty oven glove left in the cutlery drawer, just minor things
- Jose Maria (9/5): - Todo genial, pero las bandejas del horno estaban sucias y también un par de sartenes
- Cory (9/5): Was a great stay, we absolutely loved it. Especially the parking. Thank you - Everything was PERFECT, we stayed 6 nights had no problems with anything! PARKING was absolutely brilliant. You have your own parking space designated for you and for another car. I’ve read that it’s hard to find, it really isn’t. Look on google maps, it’s not hard to find. The back street you go down, can sometimes be really really tight so had to go around sometimes. Only thing I would add to the property is a TV in the bedroom. Would have liked to watch tv in bed after a long day exploring. That’s my only advice
- Donna (9/5): - The unit has plenty of space and it was quiet. Instructions to enter the property were good. The internet was dropping out all the time. TV was hard to use even though the owner gave us instructions. Need a more simpler tv to use. Parking was tight but manageable.
- Brian (9/5): Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. - We were very happy with the house and it's location.
The beach was literally a few minutes walk from the house. The information for the tv needs updating as even after 5 night's we could not sus how to get free to air live TV (BBC,ITV) but that's really nit picking.
- Andy (10/5): - They were left in the key safe, and we were given a cide That it was so far from Edinburgh. Nothing else. The apartment was perfect
- Yvonne (8/5): -
- David (9/5): Has a lovely week in Burntisland. - Position of property, cleanliness and the quality of the accommodation. Sound on the tv wasn't great.
- Clemencia (9/5): Genial - El apartamento está muy bien organizado, no falta nada en el, muy completo, bonito y luminoso. La cama es muy blanda y se hunde al dormir. Lo demás bien.
- SistaGirl (9/5): Home away from home. - The unit was spacious and had great facilities. The bed and pillows and furnishings were all very comfortable. The parking at the rear of the unit was very convenient. The neighborhood was quiet.
We were able to walk to the high street. To get into Edinburgh we drove to a park and ride near the airport (about 30 minutes drive) then caught the tram into the city. We received clear instructions on getting to the property, getting inside and what was available in the local area. We would definitely stay here again. We loved it all.
- Davide (9/5): -
10Punkte!! Absolute Schottlandfans mittlerweile. Thanks to Craig and Kirsty! —
- Miroslav (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and quiet place, perfect place , few steps from sea. Convenience store just at the corner, 7 minutes by foot to centre.
- Maria (10/5): Great - Amazing and cozy! Well located and well equipped, very comfortable. We recommend staying here! Nothing, all good
- Barbara (10/5): Fabulous, large apartment with everything you could need so your stay. - We were very pleased to find the apartment was large and comfortable. Not only that, there was every conceivable item we could possibly need for our stay. The owners were very helpful and thoughtful. Much appreciated. We highly recommend this property. Thank you so much. Internally the property was great. The back garden could do with some maintenance though. The narrow lane was a tricky to navigate at the back too.
- David (8/5): Very good location - to be recommended - Good location: Calm and central to travel around Edimburgh and further.
House: clean and tidy, very well equiped. Good matrass Not much.
A big pan is missing maybe to cook pasta.
The ventilator in the bathroom make more noise than expected, to review maybe.
- Ehsan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lali (9/5): Superb - Lovely spacious, modern yet cozy apartment. Tastefully decorated and furnished. Very comfortable and well equipped. There were a few issues when I stayed, the kitchen tap was dripping, the Wifi hardly worked and therefore the tv didnt work. I also found the place abit hard to find from the back street, I have attached a photo of the carpark. It is below flat number 80.
- Mark (9/5): Excellent Accommodation. - Have stayed here before and is still an excellent place to stay. Nothing, all good.
- Cathrene (9/5): I would definitely come back if tv sorted out. Everything else was spot on. - It was clean and tidy. Very close to shops and amenities. Comfortable and very homely. Wi Fi was very poor and couldn’t watch tv as channels buffered all the time. Managed to watch two films but no regular tv.
- Ewen (9/5): Superb - Lovely flat very comfortable, quiet area Surrounding flats gardens untidy. Operating TV control not straightforward, signal dropped regularly
- Hanna (10/5): Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay - We had such an amazing stay at Jaymar. It was clean, warm and felt very homely after we had just moved to the country. The hosts thought about everything you could possibly need, and the kitchen was very well equipped. The bed was really comfy as well. The property is in a lovely safe area in Burntisland. We loved our stay so much and couldn’t recommend it more highly.
- Aditya (9/5): Perfect for a short break - Cute apt near the coast, perfect for a weekend getaway.
- Lowell (9/5): Superb - Unit was clean, private parking and washing machine were very helpful, and location was quiet yet easily accessible to public transportation. Directions for how to actually get in to the unit were a bit confusing, and we were not able to communicate with anyone for clarification; it took awhile to figure it out on our own! We also had some trouble with the internet.
- Scott (8/5): Very good -
- James (9/5): Excellent location, the apartment was spotless, with modern fixtures and fittings. A home from home - The location was within easy walking distance to the town and facilities Name plate or house number at the parking space
- Cathrene (10/5): Great stay and hope to return again next year. - The property was ideal for our trip. Very comfortable and everything we needed for a great stay. Nothing at all.
- Ann (10/5): Excellent stay in Fife - Very quiet location but very close to beach and town. Very handy shop on the corner too.
Well equipped. Everything we needed.
Beding was so comfortable.
Property very clean. 10 out of 10
Had beautiful weather and could sit outside in the sun.
Perfect location for the railway station and enjoyed a trip to Perth and Edinburgh Minor complaint cups rather thick and heavy but a quick visit to charity shop rectified this.
Purely a personal choice and didn't effect our wonderful stay
- Trish (9/5): A lovely place to spend a couple of nights whilst on our tour of Scotland. - The location was good - no problem in getting the train into Edinburgh which we did.
We enjoyed a walk along the beach.
The property was very comfortable and well equipped.
- Lawrence (8/5): Very nice peaceful accomodation with very good facilities and a spacious car park. - Quiet location with car park. Modern with good facilities. Bed was quite soft. No hooks for towels or coats. Low on cutlery. Frying pan needs replacing.
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Amanda (9/5): Beautiful property in a good location, communicative and helpful hosts. - Very comfortable home from home, beautifully furnished and clean, and in a good location for the town - Craig and Kirsty were very communicative from the outset, sending lots of useful information and our self check in went without a hitch - would definitely use again.
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was very comfortable, well equipped and in a good location to explore the lovely coastal places in Fife and easily accessible to other parts of Scotland. We used the train service from Burntisland to Edinburgh which was very good in addition to exploring places by car and foot. We would particularly recommend the Forth boat tours which go under the amazing Firth of Forth bridges. We would fully recommend this apartment. Nothing other than TV streaming issues for part of the week.
- Anderson (8/5): otherwise all was well thank you. - better access as garden overgrown on to path. more teaspoons in the kitchen. chairs in the bedroom to put clothes etc., on and to sit on. Otherwise v.g. difficult driving along the back lane as there was a car at the entrance.
- Michael (9/5): it was the second stay in that place - again perfect -
- Irene (9/5): Superb -
- Cathrene (10/5): Had a great stay. Going back again in September. - Very Central for Everything. Stylish and very comfortable. Very clean and had everything required for a great stay. Nothing at all
- Natascha (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Cracking Accommodation - All of it. You will not be disappointed if you book this apartment if anything the pictures don't do it justice it is better. Decorated to a high standard local shops and takeaway services literally 5 mins away. (Could do with your number on the gate at the back as wasn't easily identified) put this here as didn't want any negative feedback as it is not negative just an observation :) Hopefully I will be back to stay again. Regards Mark N/A
- Espb (8/5): Comfortable apartment near the beach. - The location was wonderful, close to the beach, view of the water was amazing.
Everything was close by: 4 min walk to the bus stop, short 10 min walk to the town centre, small Premier store in the neighbourhood.
Spacious and stylish bedroom, comfortable bed, living area was very comfortable, TV size was decent and had HDMI port which we care about. We have enjoyed this accommodation. The bathroom was on the smaller side. To close and open the door you must position yourself in one corner of the bathroom.
The shower has the rain shower head. We would have preferred to have a handheld shower head which is most practical to rinse yourself off or the shower walls afterwards.
- Norman (9/5): Superb -
- Black (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donald (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madhu.mohan (8/5): Very good - Overall it was really good.
The is no dryer for laundry and it was really difficult to dry clothes. There is no dryer for laundry and it was really difficult to dry clothes.

- Donna (10/5): Loved our stay. It was such a lovely place and neighborhood - Perfect place to stay. All the home comforts and decorated nicely. Close to everything Nothing, it was perfect
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesley (10/5): Was used as a base to meet family staying else where . Loved the village - Central location , private parking & very modern . Not so much didn’t like was just dark coming in from the back of the property a couple of spot lights would be ideal
- Shelly (7/5): Really lovely place for a short visit. - Great location and lovely and modern apartment Entrance via back gate through someone’s garden didn’t make me overly comfortable I ended up using the front door. Bedding and towels could do with refreshing as a bit scratchy
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jmm (8/5): Really nice apartment - It was really clean. On a nice location with private car park. Just a few minutes from the beach and the park. With a 15 minute walk you where at a station with a direct route to Edinburgh which was ideal. The pans where a little worn down. And we lacked a bigger pot of pan for cooking pasta. But that is just nitpicking, it was really complete.
- Malcolm (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Loved it and will book again. - This is a beautiful property which is clean and tastefully decorated. We stayed here for a wedding at the Bay hotel which was 5 mins away. The bed was too soft for me but that is just personal preference.
- Claire (8/5): Basic and cosy! - Basic but everything you need. Simple yet effective layout. Location is ideal for being close to town centre and not far to travel to get train into Edinburgh. Plenty of towels and other items provided. Even though not many rooms, it feels spacious enough with high ceilings and the way it’s decorated. TV wouldn’t work so had to buy a fire stick ourselves to use. Let the property owner know and was informed they would fix on our departure.
Bathroom had gaps in wall behind towel rail (which we couldn’t get to work) and was worried if anything could come in through gaps. Shut bathroom door at all times and put a towel against it to stop anything coming in.
Upstairs apartment rather loud early in morning. Not too bad if heavy sleeper!
- Black (9/5): Superb -
- Melanie (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (10/5): highly recommend it! - spacious modern clean and great hosts
- Abdul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cameron (8/5): Very good -
- Fiona (10/5): Cosy flat - Everything was perfect. Clean, warm, great bed, great shower. Everything you needed was there. Bus stop a minute down road.
Fantastic views and great beach.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb - How tastefully furnished the property is.
Bed very comfy. Pillows on bed, not so comfy.
A simple, left or right at the shop for directions to the property would be much easier to find it.
- Kevin (9/5): exceptional clean, great location, good parking wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the Jaymar to anyone. I am one very sa - absolutely everything Jaymar is a beautiful apartment in a lovely quiet place yet not too far away from everything only one thing that I could fault. that is the broken sensor light at the back of the property. The hosts recommend using a torch or the light from your phone. I left the kitchen light on just to make it more visible when returning after dark. replacing the sensor light would mean there is no need for a torch or phone light. more importantly if the sensor light was working the kitchen light would be switched off when I left the property and therefore the overall energy savings would be to fix the rear sensor light. other than that tiny problem. Fantastic place to stay. loved it
- Jennifer (10/5): Amazing flat - Such a beautiful flat, cosy and had everything you needed. Very private and a lovely location exceptionally close to the beach. Nothing!
- Millar (8/5): Very cosy accommodation, perfect for 2 - House located in a nice quiet area of town but only 5 mins walk into centre of town What was not to like
- Bonnie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (9/5): Superb -
- Lynn (9/5): Lovely flat, perfect for two and convenient for the beach and shops. - Lovely flat, perfect for two people. It was clean, cosy, and warm. Everything is to hand in the kitchen and the shower was lovely and hot, the bed is very comfortable.
We had some trouble working out where to park but after being sent a photograph of the parking area, we had no problems. The owners were very helpful and responded very quickly to any queries we had.
We were visiting family and the flat was very convenient, not too far away from the family. It was handy for the beach and the town, although being Christmas, we only spent time with family.
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trish (10/5): Out of the bustle of the city, a spacious, clean and well equipped ground floor seaside apartment. - Spacious, clean, quiet, heated, well equipped, organised apartment on the ground floor in a beautiful location next to the sea and about an hour's drive to Edinburgh. Free, safe parking on the premises. The Sands Hotel is in walking distance and provides friendly service and delicious food. Having to place the bins outside and strip the linen off the bed before leaving.
- Fairbairn (10/5): Excellent locations every thing is on hand would highly recommend this place excellent property - Easy access to shops train station and local buses all within walking distance.nearby beach also Only thing i can say is about bins do they go to the front of the property or back would be helpfull to state this
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, bed very very comfy.
- Keith (10/5): Thank you for a great weekend . Will be booking again in the near future -
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful decor throughout property. Nothing to dislike
- Sneddon (8/5): Very good - very cozy inside
- Edana (10/5): Exceptional - Where do we start...an amazing little find. Comfy, cozy, clean, has everything you could want, home from home, whether it's for a couple of nights, to a full 2wks, you won't be disappointed. Will definitely be back again.
Only thing we found, and this is nothing to do with the flat itself, there was a broken plate in the cupboard. Loved everything
