Guest Reviews

- Jed (8/5): Perfect after the urban busdle of Ubud - Up in the jungle with good roads, great views and country silence Nothing
- Hatice (9/5): Amazing!! - Everything. The surrounding are so beautiful. Staff is very friendly. There is on site massage and a small shop available. The shala has an amazing view. Pool has an amazing view on the rice terraces. The environment is very calm. I loved sitting on the small terrace of my room and do some readings.
Restaurant area had free tea, coffee and cookies available throughout the day.
The room has a water dispenser available.
The village trekking activity was very nice. It’s very green and clean.
The coconut oil workshop was very interesting with a local couple. Their place has an extremely beautiful building and there are many different kinds of animals/pets. I loved it.
I am backpacking so I left quite a lot of excess luggage, shampoo, yoga blocks etc. at the resort and they were okay with that. Also I hope the staff is happy with the stuff I left because everything was in good condition.
Also the retreat doesn’t accept pets normally but they made an exception for my puppy. Everyone was super cute with her and she loved everyone. Thank you so much! Balitrees taxi driver is a bit weird. He is very nosy and kept asking me what was in my luggage when he was loading the car. Also he decided to have lunch when I drove on the motorcycle to the resort and took his sweet time while I was waiting for all my valuable belongings at the property. We agreed that we would meet at the resort. Also it’s just a 40 minute drive.
Balitrees solved it by not charging me for the ride and let me participate in their activities without charge, which I found a very nice gesture.
- Jessica (10/5): A beautiful and peaceful stay in the rice fields and jungle. - My family of 5 (my husband and I, and 3 adult kids ages 20+) had a wonderful time staying here. We really loved the gorgeous and peaceful location in the middle of the rice fields and the jungle. The staff were very helpful, doing everything they could to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The food is delicious and at a good price, we were happy that we could have more choices of menu since we booked via Booking.com. Other guests did not get to choose their meals, but we could choose our lunch and dinner from 5 options. Drinking water was provided for free, each room had it's own big water cooler which was fantastic.
We really enjoyed the free meditation session and tour of the village!
3 of us also got massages, pedicures and manicures and they were good- especially the massages - they were the best we've ever had, and they were at good prices. Yoga sessions cost extra, and cost 3,500,000 per session per person- we thought that was too high so we did not join any.
Also, good to know- every home and property in the local village has at least 1 dog, and some are free to walk where they want. When we did the tour with the guide, no dogs approached us. But when we walked by ourselves a few days later, several dogs did, and some ran at us, barking, which was quite scary.
- Hubert (10/5): Zen, zen et zen. Superbe séjour - L'emplacement au milieu des rizières. Le calme et zen attitude.
Très bon cours de yoga et activités diverses proposées gratuitement.
Excellents repas healthy Rien
- Idir (9/5): The place to be - Tout le personnel, l’emplacement et ce qui est proposé

- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - We really enjoy the holiday at Balitrees. We had the most amazing and memorable time at this beautiful place. Met some amazing souls, and so very grateful this. The staff is kind and ready to do anything to make you comfortable, and adjust your meals depending on your diet.
- Joey (10/5): Exceptional - I can't describe how wonderful my experience at Balitrees has been. From the moment I arrived they made me feel better than at home. The nature that surrounds Balitrees is impressive, the tranquility that you breathe invites you to connect.
- Janice (8/5): Fabulous way to unwind in a peaceful, happy, healthy environment in lush surroundings. - Yoga teacher. Massage. Staff. General happy peaceful vibe. Lush tropical surroundings. Lovely place but bathrooms could do with a good scrub. Food got a bit boring.
Kettle in room would be great so we could make tea/coffee.
- Pearlette (10/5): Beautiful peace of paradise within the matrix. - Tranquil, peaceful location. Yet if you need something the staff will gladly drive you or have your needs met quickly. The property is wonderful. With accommodations for everyone. If you want something even more remote, they will arrange with a local.
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Agnese (10/5): An unforgettable life-changing spiritual experience - Balitrees was what I needed: food served every day in a joyful atmosphere, a beautiful view from my room, a full immersion in the nature, yoga and meditation practices in an amazing studio space, meeting the local communities and discovering their cultural practices, the kindness of all the staff. I am enriched immensely by the experience and I can’t be more grateful for what I have received. It’s a school of healthy living, self-healing and love! I also met the Shaman and that’s been a life changing spiritual experience! An immense thank you to all the people of Balitrees who made the magic happen! My room was a new one and it was beautiful. The hot water had a particular system to make it work. I am also a bit scared of dogs and each house of the village has their own dog.
- Adiwiguna (10/5): Wish to stay longer. - Very peacefull accommodation and great activity.
- Adiwiguna (10/5): Exceptional experience of stay. They include culture experience and village activities on the price - Excelent breakfast, great view.
