- Wolfgang (1/5): - Hotel ist geschlossen.
Wir haben demuzfolge nicht übernachtet.
- Guest (1/5): - !!!
- Guest (1/5): Do not book as this hotel has been closed for some time and booking.com have not removed this property. - DO NOT BOOK!
this place has been closed down for some time and we only found out once we reached the location and the locals had told us the hotel was closed.
- Maria (1/5): -
- .annette. (1/5): Bad - Nothing so far I was supposed to check in and the building was destroyed inside. I paid the full amount in euros and they aren’t contacting me or refunding my money.
- Елена (4/5): Disappointing -
- Abdul (1/5): Never book this hotel - They don’t allow to stay as they said booking has canceled Nothing very bad
- Dagmara (1/5): Bad -
- Chris (1/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS! - The room had a bad case of damp. The door handle came off and the main access to the building door handle was off also, u had to grab it from a shelf and use it and put it back. The shower holder was broken so yo would need to hold the shower with your hand.
I requested to move rooms and was told that there were none available yet on booking 2 rooms were available. Complained to the hotel and booking without reply!
I left after an hour and no refund!
The manager said the room had been cleaned and thai was why it was damp.
Damp can kill you or at the very least make you seriously ill.
The missing door handles are a serious issue in an emergency evacuation situation in the case of a fire! Very poor accommodation!
- Sanjarkhon (6/5): Pleasant - Nothing Everything
- Kirianova (5/5): Passable - Friendly stuff The hotel looked tired and old. The ladder was very steep, thanks the stuff for helping with suitcases
- Pedro (3/5): Poor - They don't answer to messages. I left there some personal things, reached out to them about it several times and they didn't bother to answer. Bad costumer service.
- Jaouad (8/5): Very good -
- Šakarnytė (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gholamhossein (3/5): Poor - The staff were kind.
They even gave me my breakfast the night before my departure as I was supposed to leave early morning. The bathroom was dirty ( full of hair). It was obvious that nobody cleaned it before. I told/wrote the receiption, nothing happened. The shower was broken, and the two nights I stayed there, the boiling system was broken too. They tried to fix it, but no luck. Imagine staying in Stanbul in late autumn... Having a walking tour and no warm shower at all. Maybe it was bad luck.
- Mili (1/5): never go there - Nothing Everything is so bad old bedsheets hair on floor everywhere bathroob is dirty toilet seat is full of shit
- Nohman (5/5): Passable -
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Husain (2/5): Worst hotel ever! - Just the location pretty much. Everything was different from what I expected even knowing it wasn't a 5 star hotel, but nevertheless I couldn't be more dissatisfied. The description on booking page is very misleading.
Only one member of staff understood english, and I only saw him on our first day. Thereafter, he was never around. The key they gave us for the hotel door was wrong so exiting was a problem on our first day and we had to take spare keys and guess which on worked to go outside in the morning.
The young waiter was very rude and not anywhere close to hospitable. The elder one used to be very friendly before sitting you down. Once you are a customer, forget you have any importance.
There was no room service, despite it being stated in the description and booking. Partially working AC. Broken or leaking shower. Put a message through the booking website to hotel, but fell on deaf ears with no response.
- Md (1/5): Bad -
- Eden (10/5): Al the personal helped us from giving great advices to excellent service - The hotel has a great location mostly all the famous tourists spots are just minutes away by foot, our room was nice and clean and the personal was so nice and willing to help, we loved our breakfast and I sure recommend to try their restaurant,my wife and I were treated like friends from a 1/10 we would give a big 10+ and highly recommend this hotel I didn't experienced any issues
- Urša (9/5): Superb - The facilitators were very nice and helpful, location was very good, also very good price.
- Hassan (7/5): From 1to 10...6 - Fairly breakfasts, and very quite during nigths. We ask to fill yhe the toilet paper but no one did.
- Germán (9/5): Superb - I liked the attention we received from the hotel staff. The floor wasn't clean.
- Zaini (9/5): I like mostly the Location , it was very near to Hagia Sofia Kucuk Camei & Near To Sultan Ahmed. - I like mostly the Location , it was very near to Hagia Sofia Kucuk Camei & Near To Sultan Ahmed Camei ,also near to the Sea and other Historical Places , I recommend it Strongly ..my stay was amazing .. I wish that Breakfast was including ,
- Tekle (8/5): Very good -
- Laurinda (8/5): Very good - The location of this hotel is superrr. Many restaurants and shops. Shops are open till late on the night. Easy to reach mosques. Service is also good. .
- B (7/5): Walkable distance from AyyaSofya, blue mosque, topkapi etc. - breakfast was egg and halal sausage, there was a soup option too. We were happy with it. You get 20% off at their restaurant during lunch and dinner too which was great! Wifi wasn't the best but manageable.
- Ana-maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sami (8/5): Very good - Near to historical places of Istanbul
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overall okay but some issues there - The hotel is located above a restaurant and can be difficult to locate by taxis, some communication issues as no one on the staff speaks any English but what you would expect for this price in the old city of Istanbul
- Wajahet (2/5): Horrible place to stay - It is a small house converted in restaurant on ground floor and rooms upstairs. You have to walk to your room through dining area . Have to climb wooden stairs to your very small room. This house is right on a busy traffic street. Can not sleep at all . We couldn’t check in even 30 minutes after our check in time as room was not ready
- Mardanova (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yaser (7/5): Okay, will need upgrading but good value. - Staff were exceptionally polite, friendly and welcoming. More than we could ask for, they went above and beyond on every occasion. The manager was great and helped make our stay the best it could be.
The location is really great, not far from the tram stop, 7 minutes walk. And 10 minutes from the grand bazaar.
The breakfast every morning was delicious, definitely recommend resting at the Lord of the grill restaurant which is associated with the hotel (same owners and building), great variety to choose from and the food was delicious.
Value for money was not bad and the manager threw in extra commodities to make it worth a stay. Unfortunately the facilities weren't all the best. It was mentioned to the Manager regarding fixes to do with the bathroom and the hotel room itself. In their defence, it's new owners who've taken over and the fixes are on their agenda, I hope so.
The bathroom is in need of an upgrade and few repairs, our room had a few broken features, the manager gave us a better room swiftly, it had a few minor flaws also but better.
In conclusion if the hotel fixes the repairs in hotel room, it could be a great place to book.
For the price we paid, we didn't expect 5 star facilities but we did expect working and clean rooms.
Would love to come back to book again if upgrades are actioned as the location is lovely! And what's more, the staff are truly welcoming, true to Turkish nature.
- Batiste (8/5): Fair price and great location - Great location and good value for money for the double room with AC :)
- Sumiya (8/5): - Staff is nice.
- Diana (1/5): Noisy, black mould on the walls, window is not closing, no 24/7reception desk - Nothing!!!! I have texted the hotel in advance asking about early check in, or if we can leave the bags on reception in the morning. They replied it’s ok and if the room is free we can check in, if not we should not worry about the bags. Upon arrival we found one drunk person sleeping on what is supposed to be reception desk. He smelled of alcohol and was not reacting to us at all. Luckily the person working in nearby dining helped us to wake the guy up. He took some time to realise what’s going on and then told us he’s not speaking English. He called some other person who told us check in is form 12:00. We waited for this other guy and I showed him the chat where they telling me we can check in early. Also I showed him the info from booking about 24 hour reception desk and asked to comment on the situation, but he couldn’t as his English was not good as well.
After we checked it we found a lot of back mould on the ceiling. The window was not closing at all. They used duck tape to close it. It was extremely noisy, you can hear the cars and restaurants from the street. We asked to move is to another room but they said they don’t have any free room. So we had to stay there form 3 nights as we did not have option to book another hotel and pay twice. The worst experience so far and I am shocked this place had 8.0 rating.
- Hesam (6/5): Budget hotel on a noisy street with no room cleaning. - The location is great. The price was very competitive and the person who did the check-in was very friendly. We arrived a bit late and the owner/receptionist answered our call immediately and was waiting for us. Also, there are great restaurants nearby. The most sensitive issue was the noise level from the street throughout the night; it was NOISY. Also, the room was not cleaned during our stay (4 nights) and the shower was inconvenient.
- Traveleraroundtheworld. (10/5): Exceptional - Very hospitable, caring hotel staff and reception. The room is clean. The hotel restaurant has delicious food. The location of the hotel is convenient. We will return to this hotel more than once.
- Kazuto (7/5): Good -
- Sahilbhai (8/5): Very good -
- Julia (3/5): Dirty but good location - Great location for sightseeing The room was dirty, there was a lot of hair after previous guests in the bathroom, disgusting to start the stay from cleaning myself. Also it is located above the restaurant which means it’s loud until late. Couldn’t sleep without earplugs and it stinks of cigarettes a lot. Impossible to open the window in the evening due to noise. Overall I don’t know why it has so high reviews but I wouldn’t come back even for 1 night due to poor cleaning.
- Marcell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Khurram (7/5): A reasonable place to stay for those who don’t mind the street noise. - It was clean. Its location is very close to blue mosque. It’s in a very noisy street
- Marcellc67 (10/5): Like Home in a great City - The staff were all incredibly friendly, and even those who could not speak english made an effort to ensure they understood what I asked and/or was talking about.
I cannot recommend the food at their restaurant enough! Every dish (and I tried quite a few as I stayed another few days more), was just Wow! Having to leave.
- Jimmy (7/5): Good -
- Abdul (9/5): Good good - Good very thing Nothing
- Amr (10/5): Amazing - Amazing , best value for money , the stuff is wonderful & very friendly, they even helped me negotiate with the taxi driver & paid him what was written on the app as he wanted way more , they offered me tea & apple tea as Ekram ❤️ , loved the place , definitely I’ll go back .
- Francisca (9/5): Beautiful cozy hotel - I was pleasantly surprised by the charming old-style architecture of the place. The beauty of the location also exceeded my expectations. The room was cleaned and they can assist you with any problem! Thank you! It might be a bit hard to find since there are no name tags.
- Sachiko (10/5): Best cost performance place - Staffs are friendly and very helpful!. (We got a very good price, so we didn't expect much on the place itself.) It is located on the top of a restaurant, though we didn't choose to get breakfast and we regret it. The location is really good, walking distance to everywhere. We did exchange currency there at the reception. The bathroom shower is a bit difficult to use because of the layout inside of the bathroom. (double single bedroom) Do not expect the infrastructure of the place if you get a good deal on the price. It is not exactly a hotel.
- Nermin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fatlint (1/5): Bad -
- Abdul (9/5): Superb -
- Małgorzata (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly and helpful owner. Very good location, close to old part of Istanbul. Good value for money.
- Hussein (8/5): Very good -
- Kinga (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great, thanks
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Everything west grate. The location is the better, you will have the blue mozquie 10 minutes walking. The only issue that I think that as it's so close to the city, it's so loud. The staff member was so good. So loud in the street
- Oguzhan (8/5): Very good -
- Temirlan (9/5): Superb -
- Ayushi (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was polite and friendly Everything was perfect
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good - Friendly staff. The hotel is located very close to all the most famous Mosques and public transport. There was noise every night. You felt like the window was open.
- Zachary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ali (10/5): My stay was made comfortable by this hotel. - The staff were nice and it was close to the shops and the centre. Nothing
- Anonymous (10/5): Funny owner and good position for travelers - Friendly place
- Jeena (2/5): Overall, the only thing I liked was the friendly receptionist. Other than that we really didn’t enjoy our stay because o - The receptionist was friendly. The flat was an old building, there were cracks in the walls. The rooms looked like the pictures but much smaller (height and length) and less cleaner. The bedsheets were not clean. We asked the cleaning lady to clean our room on the 3rd day and change sheets but she did 2 of the 3 rooms. We didn’t use the towels provided because it didn’t look new nor clean (they were white). The AC worked fine. The sound isolation was bad. We were on the 2nd floor but we could hear kitchen staff talk and clean late in the night. The neighborhood wasn’t silent especially during the night. We could hear cars horn and people talk at 3 am, which disturbed our sleep. The location of the hotel in terms of distance to tourist attractions was good, but the flat self was really disappointing. If you took a shower, the whole bathroom would be soaked in water and you had just 1 small towel to dry the floor. Because all of this we wanted to cancel our stay the minute we arrived. After 2 hours of calling with booking.com and talking to the receptionist trying to get us talk with the manager, they didn’t cancel because the manager wouldn’t even talk to us to bargain. Very disappointing.
- Mary (10/5): Everything is 👍 perfect - Cleanliness, location None
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Praveen (9/5): Superb -
- Allen (8/5): Very good -
- Clirim (10/5): Everything was just amazing! - Very clean and nice people!
- Manal (10/5): One of my best stays ever - My stay went so smooth and great. The staff is amazing and helpful especially Mr Yilmaz, he was very helpful, helped me with almost everything, very professional. The location is perfect, close to the main attractions in Istanbul. The neighbourhood is safe as well.
- Sergei (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, very nice and supportive staff, excellent "value for money" ratio.
- Zsolt (10/5): Exceptional - The host is very helpful. Room is very clean. A/C and wifi ok.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - This is a perfect place to stay at at the very center of Istanbul. The district os full of traditional shops and restaurants. The hotel is New and Cosy. The staff is very attentive to the guests and always ready to help them. The small restaurant downstairs offers a great variety of traditional dishes all day long. Turkish coffe prepared here is highly recommended! We will definitely come back!
- Ayoub (10/5): Mirapatotel.. Stay There Again - Friendly and cooperative staff, good location near many touristic sites and shopping places. Room size is good compared to many hotels in the area. A bit noisy due to renovating a building nearby.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - The staff of the hotel is supernice! I felt welcome from the first night at the hotel. The location is excellent. The rooms are very new and clean. They have a very nice restaurant on the ground floor, highly recommended!!
- Sadia (10/5): Exceptional - Host was very nice and kind. He knew English well. Good place to sleep. Good value for money.
- Gizem (9/5): Great affordable stay in Istanbul - Good location, nice staff, very affordable. Facilities and furniture probably needs a bit of an upgrade.
- Radomir (6/5): Pleasant -
- Yuliya (7/5): Quality matches price - Our stay was very good. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The place was flexible in terms of check-in and check-out times. We arrived a few hours before check-in time and they settled us in without problem. The location was great, 10 minutes away from the attractions. There were stains on the towels.
The taxi park on the other side of the hotel makes a lot of noise at night. We couldn't sleep without earplugs
- Abdullah (1/5): horrible stay - cracks in walls
open holes in room walls not comfortable at all
- Myrzabekov (6/5): Good for one night stay home - Location Room was small, 0 noise cancellation, no iron.
- Kazuaki (9/5): Superb - Small but just fit for a decent stay, and reasonably priced. A walking distance to the major tourist spot (Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya). Close to a small greenery park, which is rare in downtown Istanbul. The manager is gentle and eager to help. The same owner of the ground floor restaurant/cafe which provides complimentary tea to the hotel guests. Yes, street noise at night, taxi drivers’ arguments after midnight. Guests can reduce the noise by tightly shutting the thick curtain.
- Vlad (7/5): Good - The staff was very nice and helpful and the location was very good. Good value for money. The guy from the reception helped us when we couldn’t find the hotel; the staff was indeed very nice and helpful. The room was very big and had a nice bathroom. They also have a restaurant downstairs and we had everything we needed around. Overall it was a good stay. My experience wasn’t the best unfortunately but it looks like an isolated case. We arrived late in the evening and the location was very hard to find since there is no sign. The room wasn’t perfectly clean, but it was okay. And only one towel (I said it’s an isolated case cause we arrived late, they would gladly help I guess if it’s not midnight 😅). Take in mind that it’s a noisy area even at night.
- Yana (8/5): Very good -
- Richard (1/5): a caution to people looking to book this accommodation. We booked 3 nights and had to change our dates. we were ch -
- Frank (10/5): Wonderful Authentic Hotel - Wonderful recently remolded authentic historical hotel with modern comforts. Great location walking distance to Sultan Ahmed Mosque, (Blue Mosque) & Hagia Sophia. My double room was large with a nice modern bathroom. The WiFi was very good.
The owners Yakup and Malik were very welcoming and friendly. The food in the restaurant is delicious with complimentary tea in the morning.
Highly recommend for a unique stay in iconic Istanbul.
- Adil (8/5): Very good -
- Athanasios (10/5): This is your home for now - Impressive room to feel like a prince in the most historical part of the city, the staff is very friendly and always ready to help and provide.
- Marina (10/5): next time will stay there again - very good place , highly recommended! very friendly stuff , cafes/ shops near by , we are very happy
- Yogiszgd (10/5): Great value for money, amazing location, friendly host. Highly reccomend. - Yakup was very friendly and welcoming, made us feel right at home in Istanbul. Complimentary Turkish Tea every morning and when we arrived was great! The location of the property was fantastic, very close to all the things you need as a tourist in Istanbul. Overall the room was very and the bed was comfortable.
