Guest Reviews
- Tayler Baumber (10/5): - Amazing views and incredible hosts. Couldn't speak more highly of the accommodation.
- Amber (10/5): -
- Antonia (9/5): Superb - Absolutely beautiful. Fully set up little flat with a gorgeous view off the balcony. Host was amazing. Great communication, friendly and very accommodating. Host provided a delicious platter board service that was well worth adding on to the stay. Parking situation isn't amazing but only a minor inconvenience compared to all the positives that Tui lookout had to offer.
- Catherine (10/5): Wonderful wonderful wonderful - Hosts were very accommodating. Views were amazing with lots of great walks nearby. Sunny warm cosy house. Would definitely love to return
- Linda (8/5): We enjoyed our stay at the property just the access was an issue - Nicely presented and decorated, clean and comfortable A warning should be provided on difficulty of access. The property is not suitable for guests with mobility issues due to the very long, steep, uneven pathway to access the property. Luckily we were able to manage it. Trying to find parking in very narrow congested streets was difficult
- Catherine (9/5): Superb -
- Tony (9/5): Superb - Lovely location
- Helen (10/5): Stylish accommodation in a great location with everything you need - Stylish accommodation in a great location with everything you need. Comfortable bed and lovely bedding with a hot and powerful shower. It’s not a negative but just be aware that the path up to the property is a proper Wellington type path ie. Steep!
- Frank (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (8/5): Very good -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Excellent location, perfect cosy accommodation and a wonderful host! - The location was perfect and the view from the balcony over Wellington was stunning. The flat was cosy and and had all the amenties that I needed and was quiet which was very welcoming after a long flight.
Tash was an excellent host who answered all my queries very fast and went out of her way to make me feel at home (doing a little shopping for me so I had enough for a little meal and breakfast which was very much appreciated. Also the fact that I could sleep a little longer the next day). I can highly recommend this lovely place to stay!
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - I really enjoyed my stay here! It was very clean and comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. The location was excellent, just a 20 minute bus ride from city center, in a quiet neighbourhood with an amazing view. If ever I’m back in Wellington, I will definitely be booking this spot! Nothing! It was perfect.
- Sam (8/5): A clean comfortable place with a good access to the CBD - View Bathroom shower cramped
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Narelle (9/5): Superb - It was difficult to find a park nearby
- Mikaela (8/5): Would definitely recommend staying here. - Lovely location and view, the place felt super secluded but was also close to the city. It’s been renovated tastefully while still retaining its historic charm.
- Sean (10/5): Exceptional - Great view, cosy atmosphere and great host!
- Maria (9/5): Lovely place with a fantastic view. - I love the view and the coziness of the apartment. The host communication was brilliant. The flowers and brownies were a great touch. Curtains in the shower because of the tight space made me feel a bit claustrophobic.
- Amber (10/5): Home away from home - I loved the layout, the birds and decor (the fresh flowers smelled amazing and were a lovely touch), it was warm and well located for getting into town.
It was fresh and clean, and felt like home very quickly.
I would come back in a heartbeat. N/A
- Binika (8/5): Loved the Stay - The view from home is stunning 😊 you can see the city
The place is cosy and comfy, quiet and peaceful
The brownies for welcome are best
The place is clean and aesthetic
Good for 3/4 guest stay (like if you can share the bed) Just the problem with parking - can be a hassle as it is a busy street ( but the owner advised us in advance so we prepared likewise ) Once parked we didn't move our car so mostly used UBer around and is easily available 😊, might be a added cost even though you have a vehicle or paid parking are always available
It is Windy Wellington for a reason haha, so be prepared for the wind -
- Nicholas (10/5): We loved the location, its character and our hosts’ hospitality - Tui Lookout is a holiday home in a period building with fabulous views over the city. We loved it and the bird life a bonus - Tuis and Kakas plus, at night, Kiwis and Morepork heard. Our hosts were brilliant and looked after us really well. Having a laundry room was really useful. Good location, only a short distance to eateries and shops, but very quiet (apart from the birds). Only on-street parking and a steep path up to the property but our hosts very kindly helped with our bags.
- Dagmar (8/5): All in all pleasant place with a homey feel to it. - The view and the location were excellent. It was clean and the treats and flowers made it very personal. Also love the design style. The doors including the kitchen cabinet doors were very sticky, it was difficult to open them at times. Also, the shower was very cramped and there was nowhere to put your toiletries in the bathroom which wasn’t the most practical.
