• Slack Panther (1/5): Only for foreigners with low standards. - Price. Bunks squeezed into small rooms, toilets without toilet seats(!), no smoking or drinking in courtyard, $10 fines for a litany of infractions, no street parking. Basically a small, boring, unsocial place.

• Moch Nurfahrul Lukmanul (7/5): Super cheap and accessible, but it is not very clean. - Strategic location and super affordable Dirty, particularly in the night. There is only one big rubbish bin available in the kitchen. It is full, almost exploding every night. They have many big rubbish bins, but do not make them available. The water filter needs to be replaced ASAP because it is getting dirty. The toilet clogs sometimes because we don't allow throwing toilet paper

• Richard Shenton (7/5): Good Value - A smallish hostel with good kitchen facilities, comfortable beds with privacy curtains and a nice vibe. The outside area is very pleasant and a great spot to be by yourself. Good value. There are too many bunks in rooms and it becomes very crowded with luggage etc. A shame the hostel does not have a laundry.
• Laurens (5/5): It was okay, do not expect to much. - Okay location close to the metro with beds that each have curtains, which was a nice touch. There are many beds but too few bathrooms, leading to long waits and frequent unavailability.

• Galindo (2/5): Disappointing - The location. The staff spoke broken English and were pretty slow to get things done. The outlet at my bunk was not working to charge my phone. When I told them about it they took several hours to get it fixed. The bathrooms had no toilet seat! And a 20min light timer. I regularly stay at hostels when I travel and this one was honestly not good. Safe and convenient location though if you want to be close to the city.

Te dan en la mañana café, pan, avena y es un gran plus. El precio es cómodo para una estadía en LA. La única sugerencia que tengo es poner toallas de manos en los baños de resto todo estuvo muy bien.

• Joseph (10/5): - Location was only a few blocks from the theatre, was a GREAT value, and got to room with others going to the same show. Will definitely come back for future events! Desk was empty when I arrived to check in, but they came out after ten or twenty minutes. Honestly that was the only problem; once they got me checked in, everything else was great!

• LA (1/5): - The eye opening experience. I learned that this is not the current place where I want to spend any of my valuable time. Be it business or pleasure. I am so glad that I didn't stay there again. Poor customer service ignorant and arrogant concierge service and management.

• Trae (10/5): Bittersweet - How peaceful & polite everobe was. Also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast...coffee & tea was good. Beds comfortable, showers always warm The fact that I couldn't have stayed longer.

• Keshav (1/5): THEY DENIED ME STAYING THERE - I WOULD like if booking.com made it so that BEFORE booking, I know what are the critical rules for me to stay there or not. They should have to inform this for the potential guest, otherwise take off their property so time is not wasted. **THEY DENIED ME STAYING THERE** 1) No info in booking.com ad about needing to be nonlocal traveler 2) I am technically not an LA resident AND traveling (could have shown a bus ticket even). I'm not to say what is a valid reason to deny me staying or not, it could have been about any reason (even if was racist, sexist, selfsist, whatever), my main beef is that it was not shown BEFORE I booked. I would have simply chosen another hostel and only wasted a MINUTE of my time to scroll through this listing (rather than HOURS of my time). 3) Girl at the frontdesk handled my situation very poorly, didn't even try to help me, and should have been, should be more understanding rather than "need to follow the rule otherwise I'll get fired" b.s. she gave me. 4) Moe (the owner) texted me we would speak on the phone a week later about this horrible experience, but he stopped responding to me when I tried to reach him at that time.

• Ricardo (5/5): I decided to forgo my 2nd night and move to a hotel. - Breakfast is nothing to brag about but it is free. I love the plants at the entrance of the property. The receptionist provide all the information needed for my stay. Location is excellent and centrally located where everything you need is within short distance. Toilet and bath are sufficient but instruction not to flush is not OK with me. No keys needed as access is by code. I arrived late and took a shower. The shower room does not have curtain and is fully lit. Outside has bamboo fence. I think it would not break the bank by providing curtain because in the morning I realized the bamboo fence has gaps and if someone happens to walk by at night you are expose. Also a hook (perhaps I didn't see?) to hang clothes and towel will be nice. I use a plastic grocery bag to put my clothes and towel on the floor to take shower.

• Randal (6/5): Tremendous potential - Quality of the guests is excellent. Place is quiet, clean,, great location, and decently stocked kitchen. I would give the Rumi a 5 star review on everything if they improved the quality of their linens, and gravitate from polyesther sheets to 100% cotton. Inspire of the linens this is still one of the best hostels in Lis Angeles.

Great for a short stay, lots within walking distance as well. - I really liked the atmosphere of having so many other travellers around, and the people in the room for the nights I was there were pleasant and kind. It had enough fridge space for everyone, and the bathroom was kept clean enough to use. It is rather small, but nothing too bad for a short stay. The outdoor spaces were pleasant as well, nice to go out and eat a meal in the night air. I wasn't impressed by the staff, but they are volunteers and rather young so there isn't much to be done. The person who checked me in just wasn't welcoming, but it was easy to shrug off. I was frustrated by the fact that they didn't have any locks available for rental and expected me to go buy a lock for myself to use the lockers. I was only there for two nights, so there was no way I was going to be doing that and just ended up sleeping with my things by me in the single bed. As well, I had people turning on the lights at nearly two in the morning. The top bunks are not remotely covered away from any of the lights; so if the bunk below turns on the light or even worse, someone in the room turns on the overhead light? It's waking you up, and folks have little concept of sharing a space.

• muhammad (5/5): The property owner need to serioulsy work on customer services by their staff - The property is clean and its location is gud The staff was quite strange. The lady receptionists were rude. After finishing their duty hours they keep on staying here and there at the property but when the customers used to ask them any questions, not knowing that their shift was ended, they used to reply very rude that their shift has been ended and they could not answer their questions.
• Anderson (10/5): It was a great experience and I highly recommend if you are on a budget. - Staff were nice and I feel like they did everything possible to ensure check-in was seamless though I arrived later than planned. Breakfast time can be made earlier so that people travelling for business can set out early.
• Sofia (1/5): - Non consiglierei questo ostello, soprattutto per chi viaggia da solo o cerca un minimo di comfort. La posizione non è delle migliori, e la sera la zona non mi ha dato una grande sensazione di sicurezza. L’atmosfera tra gli ospiti era piuttosto fredda e poco accogliente, difficile socializzare o sentirsi a proprio agio. Le camere erano davvero piccole e anguste, con poco spazio anche solo per muoversi o sistemare i bagagli. La pulizia lasciava molto a desiderare, sia nelle stanze che nelle aree comuni. Anche la colazione inclusa è stata una delusione: una semplice fetta di pane con burro di arachidi, nulla di più. Nel complesso, non è un posto in cui tornerei. Meglio spendere qualcosa in più per avere un’esperienza più piacevole e sicura.

• Gabriella (3/5): Don't do it. - Great location roaches, most likely bedbugs, dirty sheets, shower runs cold and NOISY. Also god help you if you need to talk with the staff, they start working at 11am and finish at 10pm and are not in the mood to help or clarify questions. Overall I would never ever stay over there again.
