Guest Reviews
- Nigel (10/5): Gorgeous cozy lock cabin with amazing hot tub. - Beautiful lock cabin. Very comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Well equipped kitchen and nice lounge area. Lovely and cozy - and floor heating and hot shower . Hot tub was so wonderful on icy cold evenings. The enclosed garden was great for the dogs. Very close to lovely places to visit such as Hafren Forest, Devil’s Bridge waterfalls, Hafod estate and Elan Valley Dams. To make things absolutely perfect, a deeper cozy sofa would have been nice to chill in the evenings.
- Rebecca (8/5): Quirky but cosy log cabin with a fantastic hot tub that made for a relaxing break away! - Very quirky, spacious for two of us, well maintained, lots of things to use, great hot tub and outdoor area that is contained for the dogs. Great area with lots of things a short drive away. Loved the underfloor heating and the fact you can have different heat in different rooms. Also loved the treats you left when we arrived really appreciated that touch. Beds were very comfortable. Loved how private each pod felt even though they are next to each other it doesn’t feel that way and you are never disturbed. Loved the highland cows 😂 the welcome email was fantastic and really helpful. I booked a massage therapist to come to the lodge through the email which really topped off the holiday for me. It’s not that we didn’t like it it’s just things to slightly improve on!
The sofas are absolutely atrocious and uncomfortable, you need bigger comfier sofas that you can relax on. The pillows in the bedrooms are dreadful and really uncomfortable.
Although the cleanliness is not bad it does need improving slightly with attention to detail and maybe some more frequent deep cleans would be helpful especially the cooker and the silicone in the kitchens and bathrooms.
No lamps or down lighting in close reach in the bedrooms
No recycling like stated in the email it all goes into one bin!
- Sharni (8/5): Would stay again - We had a lovely stay, just a couple of things, the bedding was very static, to the point you could see the static charge when you touch the sheets, more breathable cotton sheets would be much nicer. Sofas are very small so not very comfortable to sit on, bigger corner sofa would be better. Otherwise everything else was great, heating was very nice being able to control in each room, very clean and facilities are high quality, lovely hot tub.
- Samuel (9/5): Superb - Easy check in and check out, with keys in a key safe at the door. The pod is bigger than expected with large open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area, with all the facilities needed provided and all new. The big enclosed garden is a massive plus when travelling with a dog. Location is stunning, especially when in the hot tub in the evening/morning. We stayed in cold November, but the heating system was excellent and felt very snug all night long. Only minor negatives was request of £200 security deposit two days prior to staying. Considering the quality of everything provided, self catered kitchen and cost, it is often found that shampoo/shower gel and kitchen condiments are provided.
