Guest Reviews
- Cassie (4/5): Great location, but the actual house was missing a room from the listing - The location of the home is great; there are a lot of restaurants around to eat, as well as a 7-11 and a Daiso. Train stations were within walking distance so we could get anywhere in Tokyo. It was easy to get to, though it would be helpful if they listed the address in English for those that do not speak Japanese. Getting into the house was easy; there was a lock box for the key. The check-in/check-out process was quick and seamless. When I had questions, the hosts were quick to communicate. The listing is incorrect; there is no living room with a sofa bed. There are basically 2 bedrooms and a loft. The bottom floor is a bedroom and this is where the full bathroom is (shower, toilet, sink). The bathroom door has no ability to lock, so we had to announce to each other when we were using the restroom. The stairs (which has no door, so there is no privacy for the bottom room) are in the corner and lead to the second floor, which consists of the second bedroom, kitchenette with washer (no dryer, which we expected in Japan), a half bathroom (this one had a locking door; additionally, it did not have a sink, just the toilet, so we were using the sink in the kitchen), and a VERY small closet. In the closet had the two single futons in it, and it would be helpful if in the description, it would explain that they are not single beds, but futon beds. The room was so small we are pretty sure you wouldn't be able to use the futons anyway. Then there is a ladder to a loft that has the biggest bed in the house. There is not much you can store up there, except yourself. Also, the bed is elevated, so we were kind of scared that we might fall off the ledge while sleeping because the ledge wasn't that much higher than the bed. We were 7 people, and could not all stay in this house (we had to get another hotel room because it was so small). I was expecting it to be small since it is Japan, but I didn't expect for a whole room to not exist. There is no place to gather at all; it is basically everyone sitting on beds. So if you bring any food to the house, you are more than likely just standing in the kitchen. Trying to pack was a nightmare. Also, they only give as many towels as there are guests for the house, and the were microfiber towels (the kind that you use to dry your car after a carwash), so they felt cheap when we used them. Overall, I would not recommend this place for anyone with a party over 6 people. Definitely not for a group of adults.
