Guest Reviews
- Shona (10/5): I nearly cried when I arrived after a long day of walking and opened the door to find a comfy chair & foot bath all - I LOVED this property. Many thoughtful details, very comfortable and welcoming, perfect for catching the boat to Pontecesures.
- Guadalupe (10/5): - Home was beautiful and all supplies available to use. I don't know if water heater was on extreme temperature but after a shower, I had to wash my hair with extended time, the warm water began to get cold and basically was taking a cool shower by time rinse my hair. Didnt use conditioner due to it would be colder. Glad a 2nd person wasn't also showing. Look at regulators on water heater to med temp to last or is it tank size? Idk if this has happened to another? Besides this all other appliances were perfect.
- Marcsi (10/5): - Tisztaság Nincs
- blair (10/5): - Right on the Camino, at the end of the long day. Great space to relax, with restaurants very close by. Loved the thick stone walls, kept the rooms very cool!

- Maurice (10/5): Fantastische accomodatie op de Camino Spiritual, voor de - Super mooi huis, modern, van alle gemakken voorzien. Absolute aanrader! Niets.
- Alan (10/5): Very easy to deal with. Beautiful place and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay! - Great location and great communication. Place was beautiful.
- Eugene (4/5): Disappointing stay at Casa Peregrina - The house of character has been meticulously and tastefully restored, blending its original charm with a refined, modern design. Every element has clearly been considered with exceptional care—the attention to detail throughout is truly impeccable and reflects a very high standard of craftsmanship.
It had all the ingredients for a genuinely outstanding and memorable stay, and would undoubtedly have been an amazing experience were it not for the disruption caused by the hot water issue mentioned below. Easily the worst stay of our entire Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route — and unbelievably, also the most expensive.
After a 25 km trek, not having enough hot water for two people is unacceptable. The property’s system provides just 30 liters, which means one short shower at best. I used the hot water, and my partner was left with none at all. Completely unacceptable for any paid accommodation, let alone at this price.
The host’s response made things worse. Instead of acknowledging the issue, we were told we had “exceeded the flow rate” and that a lack of hot water “could not be a malfunction.” In other words, the blame was placed on us for expecting a basic amenity.
This severe limitation was not clearly disclosed beforehand, and it fundamentally fails to meet even minimum standards — especially for pilgrims who arrive exhausted and need proper facilities.
Charging the highest price of our trip for a property that cannot provide two consecutive hot showers is simply unjustifiable.
Avoid!!
- Manuel (10/5): The Three Cs - This apartment is pretty much the pinnacle of comfort, cleanliness and completeness with two complete bathrooms to boot. There was even a foot bath ready to be used for a weary pilgrim. To top it off, it was centrally located with cafes and restaurants just a stone’s throw away. Plus, the La Barca de Peregrino is only a two minute walk away. It would have been nice if there was a clothes washer. Also, for those with mobility issues, the bedroom is upstairs accessed by a steep staircase. The downstairs sofa was comfy enough, though, for one person.
- Federico (9/5): - Que estaba todo muy nuevo y la tranquilidad del lugar Echamos en falta que no hubiera lavadora y tostador de pan
- Melissa (10/5): - Great location for the boat on the Spiritual Variant of the Camino
- Maria (10/5): - Clean and friendly Nil
- Pedro (10/5): - Casa fabulosa y exquisita atención.
- Dan (10/5): - Very nice and comfortable house. It was very well appointed and decorated with nice touches. The host provided bottled water, coffee, and cookies. We really enjoyed our stay there. There was a bench right outside the window where local residents tended to sit and talk. So it was a bit noisy sometimes.

- Diane (9/5): - The apartment has been nicely redecorated. We were just 2 people. There were 3 bedrooms, 2 were locked off. There were also 2 bathrooms. Fortunately the one upstairs was available so we didn't have to go down the stairs at night to use the bathroom. However the bathroom downstairs was locked off (shower and toilette area), so we could only use the sink. Our host checked in to see how we were doing, that was very nice. I mentioned it would have been good to have access to the downstairs bathroom (who would think we would ever have 2 bathrooms, anyway!). Our host offered to come immediately and open the downstairs bathroom - very nice.
- Agnieszka (10/5): Gorgeous apartment few steps from the boats - Gorgeous apartment, stylish deco, great bathroom, very central location, just few steps away from the pilgrim boats. Friendly and helpful host Only small complaint was a sewage smell in the kitchen
- Daan (10/5): Full 2 story, 2 bedroom home steps away from the harbor. - This rental home is a hidden gem. It has been completely renovated with a great eye for style and detail. You get a 2 story house with a full kitchen and 2 bedrooms steps away from the harbor front. We loved our stay.
Tip: cooking is done on portable induction cooking plates. ‘Hidden’ in a bottom drawer. It took a while for us to locate them, but they worked super fast Nothing
- Chad (10/5): - Awesome apartment. Beautiful renovation. Great shower, bed and living room. Great place close to the marina.
- Kari (10/5): The perfect pilgrim pause on the camino, thoughtfully designed and managed by warm, welcoming hosts. - The apt is authentic and beautiful. It is decorated perfectly and has a great kitchen, comfortable bed and excellent shower. We made a wonderful meal before our final day on the camino. The location is perfect, close the boat departure to padron. The host went above and beyond to leave special pilgrim touches and assist us. It was perfect. Be careful with the dishwasher door. It is heavy and opens quickly and slammed into my daughter's foot.
- Stephanie (9/5): -
- Therese (10/5): Excellent place! - Everything! What a very nice decorated house with high service level! That it was only for one night 😊
- Suzanna (9/5): Superb - Very clean, very helpful staff, very nicely furnished two story apartment, very convinient Hot water ran out with two people taking showers
- Amado (9/5): A beautiful place to welcome one after a long, tiring walk on the Camino - Beautiful house. Very good location. Responsive owner. The weather that day was cool and a bit breezy so the owner did not think that I would need the air-conditioner inside the house. But after a long walk, all I wanted was a cool and comfortable place to just sit for a moment that was quiet and relaxed. I could not open the windows fully and also a group was gathered on the bench right in front of the window so I could not open it completely even if I could because of their chatter.
The aircon was not working and I was not informed beforehand, but the owner immediately did her best to remedy the situation.
The bath towel was hanging on the bathroom hook when I got in, unlike the other smaller ones which where folded. I had to guess whether it was already used or hanged on purpose. I just ended up using the smaller, folded towel to be sure. 😊
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Marina (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, serene property that saved me after the albergue I booked for my Camino canceled last minute! Loved the interior design and amenities. The only negative I can think of is that the shower water didn’t stay hot for very long!

- Laura (10/5): Very nice and bright and clean. Less than five minutes walk from the Camino route. -
- Jennifer (10/5): Stunning place on the Camino - This gorgeous place is a gem!! So clean, tastefully decorated with lovely big windows opening onto the street. The cakes, chocolate and water, also tea and coffee machine are such a nice gesture. Even the foot spa was so nice. Easy checkin and excellent location. Highly recommended if you are walking the Spiritual variante. Nothing
