- Joanne (9/5): Great facilities and location. Would definitely return. - Loved the little hamper that was left for us
- trisha (9/5): - Super location & super comfy :)
Beds & showers just perfect.
Felt spacious & everything worked as expected.
Appreciated the flexibility of arrival & departure timings. Some usual wear & tear hadn't been checked/updated eg. Lamp bulbs, dishwasher tabs & saucepans, utensils - but easy to sort & didn't affect our stay :)
- Martyn (10/5): - It was like being at home! Warm, welcoming, clean.
- Eleanor (10/5): Perfect place to stay lol - Coddiwomple was very comfortable with every convenience. As a solo traveller, I valued the complete privacy and felt safe and secure there. Very close to town centre. Good communicationclgf with helpful hosts. Very generous 'welcome hamper'. I wish I had booked for longer!
- Abigail (10/5): Cozy and comfortable! - The house is lovely and clean. The location is great and the parking a bonus. Great communication from the owner throughout. Really well equipped, had everything we could have needed. The little treats left were much appreciated and made our stay feel extra special. Would visit again, thank you.

- James (10/5): Home from home gem of a house in an ideal location to explore local area. - Everything was perfect. Such a beautiful house in a great area to explore the surrounding area.
It was immaculate , cozy and beautifully decorated , a real home from home. Beds were comfortable , bedding was fresh and bouncy and the rooms were spacious with all you need for a short or long stay.
Communication with the owners was polite and helpful. Really nothing to improve upon , it’s certainly somewhere we’d return to for a longer break and would recommend to friends and family.
- Ruth (9/5): - Location, comfy rooms, hamper
- Peter (9/5): Coddiwomple was exactly what we needed for our stay in Leyburn. - Good communication with hosts. Easy parking. Kitchen well stocked and equipped. Very comfortable property. Easy walk into Leyburn. Instructions on locking front and rear doors. Different to what we have in Australia. Instructions for central thermostat/ heating.
- Nigel (9/5): A lovely warm property on arrival and the welcome hamper was greatly appreciated. -
- Stephen (10/5): -
- Anne (9/5): Fabulous few days! - Cosy, very clean, very comfy beds, well equipped and nice welcome by hosts.
Good location as walking distance to Leyburn and great touring base. Nothing really
- Sarah (10/5): - Really well appointed house in a perfect location for a walking getaway. Communications from hosts were clear and timely and extra touches like the welcome hamper were much appreciated.
- Jason (10/5): - Had everything I needed and I appreciated the last minute booking availability. I've stayed here before and it was as good now as it was then. Thank you for a great stay. Wasn't anything to dislike.
- Sophie (9/5): - Very cosy and well equipped. Warm welcome
- louise (9/5): Lovely stay on a wet weekend. - Lovely cottage only a fiver minute walk into leyburn. Beautifully decorated and so cosy for a wet winter weekend! We enjoyed walking to the craft fayre at the auction rooms and also the light switch on on the early evening. Really enjoyed relaxing in the cottage and watching some of the dvds and loved the welcome pack of a beer and wine and Christmas cake and cheese. Lovely that tea sugar milk and coffee available too. Nice takeaway from spices Indian one night and second night a co op meal deal...such good value!
Really appreciated the slightly later check out on Sunday. Nothing it was really lovely.
- Carolyn (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay Coddiwomple Cottage and hope to return. - The location was perfect for us. The decor and furnishings were modern and in excellent condition. The cottage was spotlessly clean. There was a wonderful Welcome Hamper, the contents of which were exactly what we needed after a six hour drive! It’s not something that the host could do anything about but the parking was a bit of a squeeze. Also, the light at the back door wasn’t working. Other than that everything was great.
- Caroline (10/5): Great comfortable clean house - welcoming and warm. - . A perfect stay. Great house location and all sorts of nice touches such as cheese and cake and milk on arrival I had the wrong code that had been sent in first communication but found the right code in later email
- Lucy (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyable stay. - We had a fantastic 3 night stay here. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed and was exceptionally warm and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring Leyburn and the surrounding area. Just a very short walk into town with a nice selection of family friendly pubs and shops. Also Leyburn Shawl and play area and Harmby waterfall within very easy walking distance. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and appreciated how friendly the locals were towards visitors. Would definitely stay again. All great!
- Melanie (10/5): - Lovely house, good location, everything we needed. Nothing.
- stuart (10/5): Fab stay - Location, lovely house & the welcome pack was really appreciated Nothing
- Laura Jane (9/5): Perfect little house to explore the area. - Excellent condition, warm, cosy house with off road parking. Excellent welcome pack including cleaning equipment.
- Debbie (9/5): Brilliant weekend in a great property - Great house in a great location. Spotlessly clean throughout the entire property. Little touches like a welcome note on the fridge door and a goodie bag of beer wine cheese and a fruit cake made it all the better. Neighbours were friendly and helpful and we were kept informed of the directions to the house Nothing to dislike about this little gem of a property.
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- Vera (10/5): Great stay but traumatic - Lovely stay with welcome pack being a lovely touch. Rooms lovely and clean. Tea, coffee, sugar, washing liquid, soap and shower gel all available. Good location to get to The Forbidden Corner which we were doing with the children. Unfortunately our stay was marred with our car being stolen from the driveway. Thieves broke into the back door in the night and stole our car keys and car. We were then left stranded. The host was very amenable and allowed us to stay a few hours longer as luckily there were no guests that night. We were offered a complimentary 2 night stay but unfortunately the experience we had would make anyone think twice about going in that area. We had young children under 7 in bed whilst the thieves broke in and was traumatising to say the least. The Host helped as much as possible but the whole experience left a sour taste.
- Louise (10/5): Great location, great property, great value for money - don't hesitate to book! - Stayed with family for two nights in Coddiwomple for a family event so unfortunately did not spend that much time in the property to be able to enjoy it fully. Great location, just a couple of minutes walk from the town centre, great base for visiting the Dales, property has off road parking. There is some road noise but that is just something we are not accustomed to (windows were open as it was hot). The welcome pack of local produce on arrival is a lovely touch (fresh milk, wine, cheese, cake, beer) . The property is well equipped with everything you could think of or need- home from home. Cloths, tea towels, washing liquid etc are all supplied along with tea, coffee and condiments. There really is everything - plenty of utensils, crockery, equipment, DVDs, games etc. Cottage is clean and comfortable, plenty of nice white towels. Traveller tips- the single room has a day bed so possibly more suited to children - not a taller adult; you are required to strip the beds so leave yourself extra time ; and do take extra loo roll. Great property - highly recommended.
- Joseph (6/5): Great location and facilities, just needs a deeper clean - Location a short walk to the village centre which is great. Lovely hamper on arrival and has the facilities you’d need. Needs a deep clean after every stay. Especially in the en suite bathroom (shower basket and the gaps in grouting, plus the floor around/ down the side of the toilet). Kitchen needs it too as it had finger marks on the cupboards from previous guests. House is on a main road so front bedroom does have passing traffic incase you’re not used to that.
- Tim (10/5): -
- tim (9/5): So nice I would stay twice. - Location and the facility’s , host had left a welcome present of a drink each. The beds and overall cleanliness was good. There was plenty of pots , pans and crockery allowing you to easily cook a meal. So on that front a good home from home. The only minor thing was that the shower cubicle requires for a de-mould and would recommend to
The owner to have the grout and sealant addressed as starting to crack which could lead to a leak.
However this shouldn’t detract from the property nor the stay. We would happily stay again.
- Pat (8/5): Great property, well located in Yorkshire Dales. - Lovely, modern, clean and welcoming house, nicely furnished, good bathrooms.
Really appreciated welcoming Yorkshire goodies left for us. Back patio nice to sit out. Property right on main road which was busy from 6.30am, much Quieter after 7pm, (traffic noise noticeable to us as we live in very quiet road at home.) Could do with thin privacy blind at back bedroom window.
- Kevan (9/5): Superb - Very well equipped and good location Not much hanging space for clothes
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (10/5): A homely place with lovely touches to make for a perfect stay. - Exceptionally clean and comfortable. The hosts had thought of everything to make the stay perfect. The house is perfectly situated, a short walk from the centre of Leyburn. Nothing - everything was perfect.
- Steve (9/5): Great modern property. - Excellent location, plenty of parking, beautiful décor and facilities. The beds in the second and third bedrooms are too hard
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -

We even had a welcome basket with wine and cheese which went down very well on Friday night! If we visit the area again we will definitely stay there Bit of a thing for me but I think it’s becoming the normal now since Covid - check out at 10am but want you to strip the beds!

- Estelle (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely welcome basket! Beautiful house in an excellent position to explore the Yorkshire dales.
- Maria (10/5): Lovely Stay in the Dales - The property looked small but was deceptively spacious. It was well laid out and beautifully decorated/furnished. It was also quiet at night, despite being close to the road. We slept really well - beds were super comfy!
The welcome pack was great and much appreciated - a nice touch when hosts do this.
There was plenty of parking for our three motorbikes, and although they were parked outside, the area felt safe and we had no concerns about security.
