- Amy (10/5): True Japanese warm hospitality! - The property had the very best location. It was at the of a road right on the beach. Aside from the exceptional location was the staff, absolutely the most gracious hosts we have experienced in Japan. I can’t wait to bring friends on another trip. Nothing, we loved it all.
- Ian (10/5): Amazing experience - Everything - we loved our stay, wonderful cultural immersion. Food & onsen amazing.
Thanks for allowing us to check in early - as we arrived completely drenched after rainy day on bikes. Nothing

- Ken (10/5): Wonderful, peaceful stay with great onsen bath. Very friendly and helpful staff - Quiet, peaceful location at waterfront, public bath is excellent Nothing to dislike, however location is remote and hard to reach with public transportation
- Dale (10/5): - Great stay beautiful views and helpful English speaking staff. Very traditional hotel.
- Kit (10/5): Totally recommend it. - Beautiful and peaceful location, very comfortable rooms, cosy onsen, great food and amazing views. Not easy to find for cyclists.

- Ken (10/5): Wonderful stay during our Shimanami bike tour. - Our family group stayed here as part of our multi-day Shimanami bike tour. This is a little off the recommended bike path and involves a couple of steep mouintain climbs but well worth the effort in our opinion.
The beach location is wonderful and suitable for pleasant walks. The onsen baths are lovely, overlooking the ocean so you can soak in the various tubs and enjoy the views.
The meals are excellent with many interesting ingredients and preparations. The staff both friendly and helpful.
On the morning of our departure, it started to rain and the proprietress went to significant effort to bundle both our bike rack baggage and our bodies in plastic to help protect us from the wet. Her kindness was very much appreciated. This was a memorable part of our bike tour. Highly recommended. Nothing we didn't like. Note, however, that this is a remote location, no convenience stores or shops in the area.
- Juniper (8/5): Beautiful location but limited menu options - The setting and view from our room No Western breakfast option
- David (9/5): Super place to relax and enjoy delicious Japanese food, served by friendly attentive staff. - Very good Japanese breakfast. Everything was great. Very friendly staff, super location, delicious food.
- jacques (8/5): - The dinner and breakfast are exceptional, a real Japanese treat !! The Onsen facilities are old and run down, the rooms would also need to be renovated...It is not in line with the quality of the location and the F&B...

- ivan (10/5): - This small hotel by the beach was fantastic ! The hosts are extremely nice, and accommodating.
The overall hotel is charming, the onsen very beautiful, and the highlight of our stay was the kaiseki diner !
Be careful though: the futon and the western beds are a bit hard.
- Cassie (10/5): - Onsen is a gorgeous experience and the food is really special. Staff are super kind and friendly
- Rupert (10/5): A modern family-run ryokan with an incredible setting, a beautiful building and wonderful food - A beautfiful hotel of an 'art and crafts' design with paper lanterns set into the walls and enormous rocks on the ground floor that the hotel must have been built around. It felt very special. At dinner we were in a private room directly overlooking the breach and the sea beyond. The mealwas our favourite in Japan. An incredibly elaborate dinner - several courses of whole fishes prepared in different ways. The onsen was wonderful too - with high timber ceilings and a deck overlookin the sea. The hotel is run by a mother and her daughters and the service could not have been more personable and welcoming. Sennenmatsu was hands down our favourite place we stayed at in Japan. Thank you, Sakura, for a winderful stay! Nothing at all!
- Kenneth (9/5): Superb -
- Woody9009 (9/5): Superb -
- Karina (10/5): Wonderful Ryokan on the Shimanami trail - It is a lovely, spot to indulge in authentic Japanese stye Ryokan. We were biking the Shimanami trail and stopped here. Had excellent japanese dinner and breakast. A little out of the way.
- Therese (10/5): Wonderfull - The place is absolutely magical and definitely worth it! The onsen was beautiful and incredibly relaxing, the room was very comfortable, and the food… just amazing! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and stress-free. They also put in a lot of effort to accommodate our 7-month-old baby, both with food and entertainment, which we really appreciated. Highly recommended for a peaceful and memorable experience!
- Jordan (10/5): An Oasis at the end of the Shimanami Kaido - Breakfast was served incredible, tried so many new foods and they were all delicious
- Patrick (10/5): Our favorite hotel stay ever - bar none. - The property is wonderful and I’d say probably the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. We spent three nights here. Wish it had been longer! This is partly due to the exceptional service. This is a family run establishment, mother and two daughters. They were so kind and friendly and went out of their way to help us with every aspect of our trip there. One of the daughters kindly ordered taxis for us when we needed and made great touristic suggestions. She and her husband even took us to help us hire bicycles near by for our day trip cycling. The food was out of this world - both breakfast and dinner - and everything was explained to us so we knew exactly what we were eating and how to eat it! The baths were a special treat also - one of them was sea water! Honestly, we were genuinely sad to leave as we didn’t want to say goodbye to these lovely people. Thank you for making our holiday so special. There was honestly nothing we did not like here!
- Brian (10/5): An unexpectedly amazing stay - The staff provided impeccable service, the food was among some of the best we had in Japan, the baths were relaxing, and the location was serene.
- Julio (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was incredible! Amazing from beginning to end, our favorite stay during our trip to Japan. Some of the best food we had, the onsen was very comfortable and the location was gorgeous. Highly recommend if you are doing the Shimanami Kaido! Nothing! Everything was perfect
- Wendy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Moore (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tom (10/5): A must-visit accommodation for the Shimanami Kaido - stay an additional night - Everything was incredible. The staff went to great lengths to make our stay as perfect as possible. The food was amazing and far surpassed many fine dining experiences we have had in Japan. The room and onsen were beautiful and the view was spectacular. The staff showed exceptional attention to fine details, making our stay as relaxing and accommodating as possible. The experience far exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to the opportunity of visiting again.
- Kylie (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect in every way!! A really special experience. Staff were wonderful, view magical and the onsen was a treat. Dinner and breakfast served was very traditional. I liked everything.
- Jonas (10/5): The owner and her daughter were more than nice and we had one of the best stays and dinners on our 4 week Japan trip. - Really lovely location and the rooms are really clean with a great view.
- Andrew (10/5): Fantastic family-run guesthouse with sea views, a fantastic onsen and delicious food. - The service from the owners and staff was exceptional. They were so friendly and helpful, going out of their way to cook a special vegetarian meal for my wife. We really appreciated that.
The location by the sea is lovely.
A highlight of this property is the onsen, it is one of the best we’ve seen while travelling around Japan. Beds were a little hard for our liking
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were very kind and attentive: They prepared a lunch for us since we arrived earlier than expected, they helped us find a suitable ferry,… The dinner and breakfast were great as well.
- Amanda (10/5): Magnificent - We stayed here for one night while riding the Shimanami Kaido. We should have stayed longer!! We loved the place, the people, the food, and our room. It was magnificent. The onsen was fantastic after a hard day of riding in the hot sun. We will return because we loved the environment and welcoming people who were friendly and kind. It was perfect!
- Veerle (10/5): Perfect Honeymoon stay - We loved everything about this place. The people, the location, the hotel, the food. Everything was perfect. We could not have asked for a better honeymoon.
