Guest Reviews
- Lauren (8/5): Would definitely stay again. - Great location with an amazing view of old town. Very peaceful. Staff were great at communicating!
- Jeanne (10/5): - Spacious apartment with a huge balcony and amazing views Stairs, stairs, and more stairs. But we knew that when we booked it
- Iryna (9/5): -
- Gosia (10/5): -
- Gábor (10/5): ☺️ - Kiváló elhelyezkedés! Bármikor visszatérnénk, ez mindent elmond! Ha a teraszon pihensz az is felér egy városnézéssel. -
- SHIBASHIS (10/5): Excellent property with a great view - Excellent views from the room and the self check-in process was extremely organized and well communicated. We had a flight delay which led us to reach the apartment at 3am but due to the information and guidance shared, we had no problems accessing our room. Adequate amenities were provided in the room and certain amenities if feasible were made available on prior requests as well. We absolutely loved our stay at the place.
Going up and down the stairs is necessary to visit the old town area but the views from the room makes the walk worthwhile. Taxis and bus options can also be availed if someone wants to avoid the walk.
- Ivan (10/5): - Everything! 0
- Birgit (9/5): Wir kommen sicher wieder!
- Mandy Daly (10/5): Well Worth A Visit - The location of this beautiful property provides the most amazing vista of the city and surrounding countryside. To open the curtains every morning and see the fabulous view was breathtaking. The hosts were so responsive and attentive before and during my stay and couldn't have done enough for me. There ARE alot of steps to walk in order to reach the Old Town as the property is located on a hill but the steps are manageable with areas to take a break if needed. The bed and pillows were one of the most comfortable Ive slept on and it was such a peaceful place to spend 3 days. I cant find anything negative about the stay.
- selvet (7/5): - The room has a wonderful view. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They have a serious wifi problem. It was poor and not stable.
- Carlota (8/5): -
- Christine (9/5): Wonderful views! Comfortable, clean and well situated. - Great view, very well appointed, very peaceful, clean and welcoming. Loved the lush greenery in the grounds and the footpath all the way to town. Handy to have a coffee machine, dishwasher and even a washing machine! The downside of the excellent view is the long, steep walk up a great many steps from Old Town. Certainly gets your heart pumping but perhaps not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.
- Onni (10/5): Fantastic - Fantastic view to the old town, even better than in the pictures! Apartment was clean, AC did its job to keep it cool even in the +32C degrees we had. Host was very helpful, communication was great for giving directions to the place. 10/10 would recommend There are a lot of stairs walking from the old town. For us it was no problem but something to be aware of
- Guruprasad C (6/5): Not value for money - Location is good , if can manage to take some good steps uphill from the old town . Good view from balcony Bed was small , bathroom fittings were loose and falling apart . Balcony umbrella was broken. Issue with the towels , which were not that clean. . Not value for money , just location and view is good
- Andrew (10/5): Comfortable apartment with a terrace and picturesque view - Location is perfect, the view is thriller. The terrace with a picturesque view of the old town. The room is equipped. The facilities is not modern.
- Karl (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely fantastic views over the old town , islands & you can walk down the steps to the town , 10 to 12 minutes, walking , coming back 20 minutes, gr8 workout & no need for the gym.!! Also , not far for the cable car .
The owners of the place really went tje extra mile , we even walked back to get our bags , which they let is keep in their home, & he came out with an ice cold beer for the taxi ride to the port , top man . Marko , our contract, was very helpful also . The cost of everything. 40 euro for the walk around the walls , 30 euro for 3 minutes cable car ride. Other countries a cable car is 10 to 15 euro . Plus eating / dri King out twice as much as other places in Croatia, but we loved it tbh, just a shame they rip tje rz out of it .
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - The view
- Alex (9/5): Great apartment. - Amazing view, comfortable, air con, useful kitchen, nice balcony. Bathroom good except shower-head. Really close to the old town. Steps are fine down but recommend public transport back up! Showerhead didn’t stay in place! Had to hold with your hand so was a bit inconvenient.
- Gabriele (9/5): Apartment with an exceptional view - The apartment was spacious, comfortable, calm, and nicely furnished. The view was truly exceptional and made our stay even more special. The host was kind and helpful, making sure he was there to welcome us when we arrived. We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place. There are quite a few stairs to climb up from the old city however even our 9- and 11-year-old kids handled it easily. And the incredible view from the apartment is more than worth it.
- Adam (8/5): Great size and clean, amazing views of old town! - There was a little noise at night time sometimes. It didn't disturb us too much, only at little. The hot water was just enough, ideally it would have been consistently hot enough.
- Martina (8/5): Amazing view at a cost of difficult stairs! - The apartment was very small but very clean. Everything you need is provided. It’s secure and you feel safe. The view is without doubt unbeatable, it was breathtaking and people have to pay and travel on the cable car, all the way up to get the view that you wake up to every day! The apartment is quite difficult to get to. Lots of people had mentioned the stairs but until you do it, you don’t realise how truly challenging they are. There are almost 500 stairs and additional walking to get to and from the old town. If you want the view you have to compromise with try to find a location that uber can locate to drop off. Any staff we met were very friendly and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable too!
- Valeria (10/5): Loved it 100%. Great communications with Marko, peaceful environment and absolutely stunning view. Home-like atmosphere, - Excellent location, lovely calm environment and atmosphere. Perfect Nothing
- Jack (10/5): The view is better than the pictures! - The host was very responsive and kind. Assisted us with a later than expected check in due to a delayed flight
The view was somehow even better than the pictures. I expected them to be partially obstructed but you get a full sweeping view of the entire old town and the beautiful sea behind.
Best place to stay in Dubrovnik!
Also very good to be accessed via a road as those staying down in the old town can't get an airport taxi/uber to their door like we could The stairs from the old town were very doable, especially because you don't need to use them to get to the property when arriving/departing so we never did them with our heavy packs - not a negative at all just adding info as I saw this listed as a negative in others reviews
- Einav (4/5): Horrible owner. Would not go there. - Nice View. We were told to call half an hour before arrival. We sent a message time of arrival and that we don’t have service since we just arrived to Croatia without SIM card. Still they insisted we call. We found someone to help us call them but the staff never picked up!!! For 2 hours we were roaming around looking for the place. The address didn’t match the actual location. Then we were stopping random cars to ask where is h to is accommodation when this old person in his car just told us to get in his car. He was not speaking English and when I showed him a picture of the place he didn’t recognize it. Only after 10 full min he claimed he owns the place. We didn’t believe him so we didn’t want to get in his car. An hour later we finally found the place and the old guy was there shouting at us that we are “stupid people”. SORRY I DONT WANT TO GET IN THE CAR OF A STRANGER. Anyway, it was horrible. The room is also super small. The staff member who didn’t pick up the phone was quite nice. But the full experience was terrible. The owner is an awful person. Don’t go there.
- Iamarinoh (10/5): Undeniably a beautiful place to stay. An impactful first view! - The view from the balcony is amazing. There is a beautiful table where you can have a drink while watching the Old Town, the islands around it, and the Adriatic Sea. Unfortunately, the cooker was not working. Of course, it's a great place to discover restaurants, but sometimes you are not ready to take those 396 steps to the town to eat. It's nothing serious, but it can be improved.
- Seán (8/5): Amazing view of Dubrovnik Old Town. - Amazing view We are a young couple, for anyone not as active it would be a difficult climb from the Old Town to the Apartment. However, to have an amazing view like it has you would expect to have to climb.
- Raj (9/5): A cozy room with a scenic view. - It is a really nice place. The view is just amazing. The room was clean and maintained. It is quite close to the city centre using rhe stairs. I totally recommend it! The view is amazing but it comes at its price. Each time you wish to go out, you need to climb down a pile of stairs that could be challenging for some. It takes about 10-15 min to cover those stairs. For me, it was not a problem, especially when I could get this view.
Also, the WiFi kept fluctuating. So, be aware if you intend to take some business meetings. The fluctuations could be seasonal..
- Sean (9/5): Friendly staff, lovely view, lots of steps - This accommodation is incredible. The guy who greeted me (Marko) was very friendly and the woman who owned the accommodation was very sweet. The accommodation itself was perfect for a solo traveller (or for a couple). It was clean, the shower and AC were great and above all else, the view was amazing. The hardest part of departing was leaving that view behind. The only downside, and this is in no part an issue with the accommodation, is the number of steps up to it. The number 3 bus goes to outside the door but taking the steps is not for the unfit. The view makes the step worth it every time 👌
- Katarzyna (9/5): Fantastic stay! Affordable price, what MEANS a lot, because Dubrovnik is very expensive! - The location is exceptional. You are 7 minutes walk (downstairs) from the Old Town, but in the apartment you have a feeling you are in the small village! Birds, cats, flowers, no tourists. Silent, cosy and this view!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also very accessible for a car/ taxi. Parking place by the house. Tourists who stay in the old town have to walk with their luggage because this area is completely car-free. Also facing the crowds every time can be overwhelming.
Very helpful, English speaking staff, responsive via whatsapp. They can help with arranging taxi, excursions etc.
5 minutes from cable car station (down) or startpoint walking track (up) to Mount Srdt.
*Please note that you have to go upstairs back. If you are less fit or you have small children, it can be too much.
- Prasanth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (10/5): Step up for views - The view from the balcony was an amazing space to spend time with family and friends- sunrise, sunset, city walls, Locrum and beyond could all be seen and enjoyed.
Marko the host, Vinko the driver, the owner upstairs everyone was so kind and helpful in making sure we got the most out of our stay.
Top tip… there are a lot of steps which we knew and had no issue with, but after you walk down the first set to the viewing platform turn left here as this route down is much less steep. Would definitely stay again if returned to Dubrovnik Nothing
- Patrick (10/5): Excellent stay - Amazing views. Room was comfortable size for 2 people. Very clean. Host was amazing. Lovely landlady Mia lives next door and marko provides the translation through WhatsApp. Organised airport transfer for us no issue was too big. Cutlery, cups, kettle, towels provided with a great terrace chairs and table. 10 minute walk to town. Lots of steps for a great view not ideal for elderly people or anyone with any impairments for steps. Taxis are accessible via Uber app. Do not use town taxi very expensive. Also address provided do not use in a taxi just use “apartment pavlina” and say the view point. We ended up 25 minutes in the wrong direction after a night out. Nothing bad to say about the apartment itself!
- Helen (8/5): Very good - Beautiful balcony view of city panorama and old city walls. Lots of steps down to the town. No breakfast facility offered. All cafes down in the town.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stefania (10/5): Great apartment with old town views! - This apartment has an amazing balcony with the best view to the Dubrovnik old town!
Its very comfortable and quiet so you can relax in a very pleasant place. Even the location is 10 minutes walking, there are too many steps to come back. However for the view is worthy
- Sofia (10/5): Exceptional - The view from the balcony
Very close to everything
Quiet neighborhood The room is quiet small but its ok
- Lu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vaughna (5/5): Passable -
- Leannes97 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Firstly id like to mention that the room has the most amazing view and im glad that i had this apartment, and it was a good choice, you can sit and people watch as its high up but still able to watch people walk over the old walls, personally for me i didnt feel the need to pay the over priced ticket to walk over the old walls because i could see all of it and more, there is a lottt of steps down to the old town that take around 5/10 minutes but the whole of dubrovnik is steps, and hills, the apartment is amazing with everything i needed, for me view is a must and this had the view the apartment is clean and modern and spacious for solo travel or 2 people, the apartment smelt clean and fresh and location is really good if you walk down the steps your right next to the old town. The steps
- Grzegorz (5/5): Not great, not terrible - The view of Dubrovnik old town is absolutely amazing. The room was tiny and the photos do not reflect its wear and tear. The walk to and from the old town is quite a task. The place was difficult to find, as both Google Maps and Uber directed us to a totally different area when pasting the address from Booking app.
- Bianca (9/5): Fantastic! - Fantastic view from the terrace/deck. Lovely host. hiking the stairs from old town. Once we started taking Huber it wasn't so bad.
- Byron (10/5): Exceptional - Location was a 5min walk down to Old Town and 8min up alot of stairs. Good workout! Not for anyone with troubles walking, however I would imagine a short uber ride would work or resting on the way up.
View from the apartment patio was amazing. A 30 sec walk down some stairs is another view point with benches - amazing view!
Apartment was clean, couldn't have asked for anything more. Coffee maker, tea, coffee available. It appeared the kettle and microwave did not work. We didn't need it anyways.
A/C worked as it should have.
Communication was great and timely. Messages through booking.com were answered within a day. Upon arrival, communication via whasapp with Marko was great. He met us at the apartment, showed us around and was very friendly.
Owner was an elderly lady, lived on-site and was lovely. Along with her cute cats.
Bonus: despite the booking.com ad saying there was no parking, there was indeed parking! This worked well as we had a rental car.
- Karuntarat (9/5): Superb - The owner is so helpful even she could not speak English.
Good location, only 5 mins walk down to old town. Nothing
- Elisabeth (10/5): Although reaching the place is quite some sports activity, it’s worth the view from the balcony. It was very clean and c -
- Brazzirie (4/5): Disappointing - It was small, clean & cozy It’s high above from the city Center!!!!! Taxi/Uber barely want to pick us up, you can walk down to the city around 20min
- Sanja (9/5): The best view of Dubrovnik, amazing terrace, I highly recommend staying here! Great value for money - The best view of all of Dubrovnik old town you can imagine. The terrace has a full view of the whole town! Absolutely amazing. Air con in every room, and amazing bathroom Nothing! We liked everything. The TV unfortunately didn’t work, but we only stayed one night so didn’t bother us too much…
- Krzysztof (10/5): very nice. - The view! It was amazing, whole old town was visible from the balcony! The stairs...but what can we do? :)
- Leonard (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (10/5): Best view of Dubrovnik! - Flat is wonderful. Newly refurbished, clean, with lots of facilities. What makes it a real gem is the view though. You can drink a wine on the terrace in the evening and enjoy the spectacular view of Dubrovnik Old Town. Parking is also close and handy. Directly from flat there are steps going to Old town. Remember you'll have to walk them up on the way back, too! Or take a cab... Nothing really, place was great and left a beautiful memories in the whole family. Will come back at some point...
- Nataly (7/5): Good -
- Elspeth (8/5): Convenient for city, lots of steps! - Beautiful view, but no warning of how many steps down to the apartment Broken window in patio door - dangerous
- Martyna (9/5): lovely apartment good locations it’s clean and has everything you might need the view from the balcony is lovely and the - good location only about 7 minutes into the old town , the owner is the nicest lady I have ever came across very helpful ,the view from the balcony is beautiful small apartment very clean but has everything you might need .Would highly recommend the apartment is much smaller then in pictures however it was good as there was only two of us staying there , I assume the more people the bigger the apartment , there’s a lot of stairs to get down to get to the old town it’s a short walk down however much longer to walk back up the stairs , not for people with walking difficulties.
- Carmen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (9/5): Great property, great view and worth climbing up all the steps for - The view from the room was incredible! Was easily accessible from the main road and only a few minutes walk from the old town centre
- Himanshu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (7/5): 10/10 views of the old town - Fantastic views over the old town and a lovely terrace area. You can walk down to the old town in 10-15 minutes, but you will probably want to get a taxi back up! The apartment was smaller than it appeared in the pictures/it wasn't clear from the listing which apartment was which. Very minimal cooking facilities - but adequate for a quick breakfast or snacks.
- Bernie (9/5): Dubrovnik accomodation - The view was fantastic and ideal location There was no cooking facilities.
- Michal (10/5): Exceptional - The apartmant was excelent. The view was great. You Can see whole old city and Lovrijenac. The owner was helpful. He provider for us the airport transfer for a reasonable price.
- Rekha (6/5): Pleasant -
