• Dlamini (9/5): exceptional stay - The location of the place and the place itself. The place doesn't even look nor feel like it is for booking but feels like a home and its private giving one time to enjoy staying and good for a quite vacation. The place doesn't have a washing machine, if ever i want to book again for a more than one night, i would love to do my laundry without hand washing them. Maybe considering a washing machine would be advantageous.

No staff was involved except that I called Franz initially to assist me.

Next time I’m looking to visit Pietermaritzburg, I will de - I am autistic and have severe anxiety, but this check-in process was so easy and required no in-person contact so it was a breeze. The property itself was beautiful and comfortable. It felt both like a home away from home whilst also feeling like a luxurious getaway with excellent security. Genuinely? Nothing. We loved everything. Can’t sing Familia’s praises enough.

Franz is so friendly and helpful. Tuli is also lovely. We will definitely stay there again. We highly recommend Familia. We liked everything. We have no complaints whatsoever. The property is great.

• Cora (9/5): A wonderful secluded unit to rest and recuperate in Sleepy Hollow. - A wonderful little property tucked off of one of the mildly busy roads in Pietermaritzburg. Fully furnished with an excellent kitchen and everything we needed. The owner was easy to contact for more information. The property felt very safe and quiet - some traffic noise from the nearby road but it wasn't noticeable to me. Familia is quite close to several areas of interest as well as several shopping centres. There was a bit of a strange smell when we arrived but it dissipated quickly - I assume perhaps a strong cleaning product or something similar. Everything was great, though!
